My mother-in-law was not the easiest to get along with but, Laundry to be done and no one else washed with it ... Why did she get the wrong sweatspants, pillowcases and underwear back with her laundry.? She was only there 11 months and several times this happened and when I'd try to find her items that were missing... No one could give me accountability of who or how laundry is done. Personally I felt the nurse and CNA could have showed more empathy toward patients. I saw at times and heard them say... "Well, she's needy" referring to my mother-in-law. Well that's why she's there.

I would give them a 4 now, but when she first arrived, they were at a 1. The facility is extremely clean. The staff were all so helpful. I would just tell others to make sure and be proactive.

The staff did their best but Heritage Woods was under-staffed for the number of residents they had. My sister needed more attention than they could give at times. Other than that it was fine.

The apartments are spacious and bright! They have a 2 bedroom that is brand new. Staff very friendly and helpful. My in-laws are in independent living. Should they need to move to assisted living, they would not need to change apartments.

This is a very clean, updated facility. They offer menu style dining with several choices each day. Rooms are large and spacious and staff is friendly. The only real issue we’ve had is getting someone to answer the phone when we call. There has been some staffing changes and throughout the process, we have at times, had difficulty getting in touch with someone. The bathrooms in the rooms could also use some updating. We requested that my mom’s toilet seat be replaced due to yellowing and discoloration, but no luck in getting that done. Only other downside we’ve experienced is no church services for the residents. In the previous facility we used, speakers of various denominations were brought in for the residents, but nothing like that is offered here. All in all, we’re satisfied, but a few changes could improve my opinion.

Overall experience I'd say has been a 4/5. We have nothing to compare it to so hard to judge. Dad seems to like the place and has made friends and plays cards with them. Although he doesn't take advantage of all the activities, but that's his choice The apartment itself is nice and seems to be size appropriate for what he needs. He seems to like the food, which is good because he's kind of picky. Other than that overall I'd say it was a good choice.

I feel they do the best they can, but my loved one is not always cleaned up enough and clothes often go missing. I would advise other families to keep an eye on their loved one's belongings

Staff are core experienced and attentive. Must be prepared for assessments of basic mobility to support everyday physical activity. From these assessments, the cost of care will be determined. This cost is an unknown when entering under a contract. Must be sure of education of Care categories and descriptions. There are senior heads of support categories and lines of communication. I was not clear on the defined staff to patient ratios but considered what I experienced to be excellent. Activities : A coordinator is assigned and is very resourceful in providing up to 7 scheduled activities per day to include Field Trips. Some activities include fees. Food service is clean and staffed with attentive staff. There is emphasis on making comfortable. There 2 selected courses each meal. There are alternative selections not as all encompassing. Diet needs are accommodated with notice. Food is very good with variations in selections. Grounds well kept. Emphasis is on the staff and leadership focus on those needing care. Cost: I found to be pricey. Key take away ; availability, staff, physical plant and not for profit vs Corporate Owned.

For the most part it's all been good. Some of the food could be better but overall she likes it. I would recommend it to others.

We chose the Grand Victorian because the facility was beautiful and the resident rooms were bright and airy. Some of the common areas like the cafe could use a little more attention but overall the physical space was uplifting. The residents themselves were very friendly and accepting of a new face. My mother-in-law, [name removed] was given a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia shortly after arriving and went downhill rapidly. This is where the staff really began to shine. The nursing administrator, [name removed] has been tremendously supportive and her staff have gone above and beyond to make sure [name removed] is safe. They check on her frequently and offer genuine care and affection, even stopping by on their off hours to see her. We especially appreciate [name removed], [name removed]and [name removed]. The dining is what you would expect from an institution that needs to consider so many dietary restrictions so we completely understand why it did not rate high. [name removed] is now on hospice but we are grateful that she will spend her final months in such a warm and caring place.

My mom and dad were some of the first residents at Bardwell. It took a while for Bardwell to hire the right people in administration. They are very good with communication with our family regarding my dad's dementia and plans to move forward. They always have something going on for the residents. The food is marginal, but I feel it is acceptable considering how many different types of tastes are out there. They are as happy as they can be at Bardwell.

The food is really good. Over all I'm pleased feel like I made the right choice. I have and definitely would recommend Carriage Crossing to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The people seem very nice, patient, and willing to help. Her move there happened very suddenly and they were able to get her in on short notice but it was a little chaotic at first. It got straightened out quickly though.

Maid service is very inconsistent and not very good, dining room staff are nice and the meals mainly quite good.

we went out to eat, mother in law likes it ok, but no sugar free dessert! Father in law does not like the food at all. Father in law does not like it compared to Parkside. Overall, very friendly community, beautiful outdoor courtyard and highly recommend! Mother in law was able to bring her cat!

This was not the right choice for my MIL when she was there. She needed much more care than respite or even assisted care. She wanted and expected hospital level care and even the nursing home where we moved her was "not right" with her expectations of care.

The facility was brand new and very nice the staff was helpful but needed more experience the food was great. When my wife was there it hadn't been open very long so it's hard for me to draw any conclusions on the facility now

They were courteous and informative. Facility clearness was well kept. Somewhat friendly with the exception of few racial issues but resolved. Quality of care, knowledgeable attentive and caring. Staff was amazing in most cases and welcoming. Food was average. Great activities need a few more for dementia and Alzheimer's patients activities. Priced somewhat affordable considering dads diagnosis I would only like to add my dad was the only person of color and had I known this I probably would have chosen a different place with some variation of culture that could be understood...we had a few incidents but we understood!! Still grateful!

I feel the place is fine. Mom won't be happy anywhere , but they do take care of things. Front desk always cheerful. I don't interact with the staff often. But I think things are going as well as can be expected for a 95 year old. Looks like there is a variety of activities, but mother refuses to participate.

I absolutely love the staff and residents. Everyone is so kind. 17 people introduced themselves to me on my 1st day. The place is clean and well taken care of. You can either be alone or see lots of people. I am very happy here.
