The place was very nice and clean. The people are friendly and attentive to there guests. The studio was a good size. There are a few drawbacks. 1- There is a waiting list for the studio (3 mo) 1 bedroom (6 mo). 2 - the location is a bit far from the VA. The pricing is reasonable and we may be able to afford this. Keep looking.

We were promised a lot of things in the beginning from the sales person which is why we chose the facility in the first place. She was very deceptive though so a lot of the things promised were not true. We were super happy with the care and it was a great place, it is unfortunate that we had to move her again. I would just tell others to make sure to really look into Medicaid.

Overall our families experience has been great, when we come to visit all of the staff members have been great. The cleanliness of the community is amazing we are very very impressed. As far as we know the meals and dining service is very good, our loved one seems to really enjoy the food. The activities are still somewhat limited, but things are opening back up. We did have an issues in the beginning, somehow they had missed that our loved one needs insulin shots and it was missed for a couple of weeks. However that is now fixed and they are completely on top of everything.

It is good, sometimes they don't know what they are doing. There has been several changes with staff. You should stay on top of your questions or concerns on your loved one. Some of the things may slip under the rug. They have a new activities director and seems to be doing more with the residents.

The community does a great job of keeping me updated with any changes of my loved one. The community is very cordial when greeting you when they see you. They are willing to assist with in person visits outside, even though it is outside and cold. White Oaks has done a great job. My loved one seems to be happy. The staff makes my loved one relaxed and are very helpful.

I enjoy life here at Senior Star. The environment is light and friendly. I enjoy interacting with the friendly staff as well as the residents. I can participate in as many daily activities as I wish. I am also free to take care of my personnel matters. My first impression of Senior Star was the bright an clean décor. My apartment is small but comfortable. I would certainly recommend Senior Star to anyone considering senior assisted living.

Our 95 year old sister is at Carriage Crossing in Arcola, Illinois. She is thriving and loves the place. She receives loving care and is being taken care of as if she is among family and friends. After a time living alone she now enjoys the companionship of others and the daily activities keep her busy and her mind active. The place is very well managed and has the best interest of each of its residents at heart.
