This facility has come a long way the last few months. Under the direction and guidance of ED Bonnie Berkman and DHC Bernadette Aguirre, the care and delivery of service has improved greatly. They have employed a staff now that truly cares for the residents. While there has always been a nurse in the building, now there is truly nursing going on. The DHC brings a vast knowledge of dementia on a clinical and personal level. She has been an asset to this community. She guides the Care team with a steady, even hand to ensure each resident is lovingly cared for. Bonnie and Bernadette are a formidable team and things will only get better as they continue to tweak the processes and emphasize the delivery of high level care at all times.

The staff are friendly but it seems they are short staffed or whoever makes the schedule could use a little help. Trash is not emptied daily, let alone twice daily as I was originally told. Food can be good but there is very little variety.

I moved him away from there within a month. The ED was fired a few days after we arrived so the Wellness Director was doing multiple jobs. The STAFF is great but the FOOD is HORRENDOUS. There is also NO WAY to contact the staff on duty after reception leaves. If you call in after hours, it will ring a few times and the call drops. They never could get simple cable hooked up for him but also would not call in a tech for this. But, if someone wants to sneak into the side lobby door, that can be done as it is LEFT UNLOCKED AND UNATTENDED 24/7. The place has potential but we could not wait around for that primarily because of the food and security

Short staffed and they need to find more good, kind, dependable employees. I would not recommend to others at the time

I have seen some improvement since I started going there routinely. However, I believe there is still more room. I turned in paperwork for be part of PacWest, somehow the papers were lost, it took almost 2 mnths for me to find out. I do know how difficult it can be taking care of folks, however, I found soiled, full, briefs on the floor by the bed. Though it can be difficult to interact with the residents, I feel the caregivers seem to spend a lot of time talking or on their phone as opposed to sitting with people. I know there are things I catch because I know my person's base line and can catch changes quickly, but they are often unknown to others. I do wish that corporate would take a cut in pay in order to pay "boots on ground" people better wages. Caregiving is emotionally, physically difficult and taxing. These people have worked hard all their lives, family often has not choose but to admit them, but we still want to see them treated as individuals who matter.

Dining experience food - decor, wait staff and food excellent. Set up for wheel chair accessibility lacking. Example need to move chairs for spot at table for those in wheel chair. Nothing in place for new resident's to join others for meals. Those new sit by themselves professional staff does nothing to facilitate new residents to support dinning companions. Med tech staff and helpers are very kind. Outside of the nurse practitioner (very kind and attentive) Professional staff do what they have to. Not particularly warm or approachable. Reception staff supportive and friendly. Room, space and cleanliness excellent. Overall facility - resort like and very nice. Biggest issue new residents left to fend for themselves no support in meeting people or attending activities. Very shinny, pretty environment with not much heart related to community and belonging. Lacking community building and belonging. New residents who are not joiners on their own are isolated and need to integrate on their own without help. Nice place for people who are mostly independent happy hour- club like atmosphere but if you have challenges - mild cognitive, wheel chair and special needs hard to fit in and feel a part of the community.

They were unable to accept our loved one because they couldn’t offer the level of care she needed they said even at the level 5. We were disappointed because it didn’t seem institutional to us at all and that’s what we were looking for.

Well they just decreased their staffing ratio per direction of their corporate, which is concerning. Especially since they didn't alert anyone about it directly; a few of the direct staff caregivers let it slip because they are upset. They were already struggling to provide adequate care with the number of staff they had and I feel like now the residents are going to even have less over site. I don't think it's good practice to change a staffing ratio without letting the families/caregivers know. Also, I know they advertise that they do lots of activities and engage with the residents but I've never really seen that happen

The facility is very basic without many outdoor amenities. There has been a recent remodel of paint, carpet , furnishings ... maybe less than 2 years ago... so it presents as modern and tidy. The staff has a balance of experience and new employees. Most are truly skilled, caring , and attentive. Call time for the pendant presses needs some attention for better response and practices of checking in on resident and then evaluating who to see on a priority basis. The food, nutrition of it, could benefit from oversight of a nutritionist. Meals tend to be size fits all regardless of diabetes, heart disease,...etc. Have heard this from several resident families. The activity director and her staff do a WONDERFUL job of balancing activities and recognizing special holidays with food, decorating, activities, and family invitations. This is a shared facility with a memory care community... we have experienced some residents being housed on the Assisted Living side despite their need for care more suited to their needs of dementia. This can be quite unsettling for both them and the residents who share the space and aren't able to help them when they are emotionally troubled , anxious, or irritated. I hope these observations lend some valuable insight into the community.

Other tenants are nice and great atmosphere. The renovations that are taking place have been a huge inconvenience. They will shut down areas of the building including the dinning halls and other areas very important. They also have replaced the furniture and other items with new furniture. The furniture chosen is for looks though not functionality. They don’t accommodate seniors. They need to discount the rent substantially for the inconvenience they have done to all the tenants.

They committed to several things when I toured that turned out to be very untrue. There were no reduced sodium meals as promised, they very poorly handled the power outages after the hurricane. The dining/ kitchen staff were very rude and could be very hateful. The transportation to appointments turned out to be less than desirable. Overall, the price is outrageous. I moved from the Landing in August. I attempted to discuss the problems more than once and also wrote a letter to the home office. It was obvious they didn't care.

My husband was only there for 29 days. Friendliness of staff was good. Value for cost was good. I didn't eat there so not sure about food. He was on hospice so lots of care needed as he kept falling and had thin skin that needed to be bandaged everyday. They provided almost constant care before he died.

My loved one was previously a resident at Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care. The care was good, but the management was terrible. I had an issue with billing that is still ongoing. I can't get an answer to my many phone calls. I wouldn't recommend this facility to others.

Very friendly staff, the facility is well maintained. However, they could improve on encouraging residents to participate in activities. Also, they could improve on communication and follow-up with families of new residents.

Sales person lied about elevators being on generators when we looked at place. Manager [name removed] is responsive and helpful as was other sales person Lauren. All residents are very nice. Just need more help in the dining room. To go io on price with all that has happened this past year is wrong.

I wasn't impressed with Oak Hills Terrace Memory Care. They kept losing my loved one's things. They advertised how they kept them busy, but all I ever saw was that they put them in front of the TV. I did like nurse [Name removed], he tried really hard.

The Reserve had very nice staff, but it was very dated and the rooms seemed a little tight. Very limited parking and outdoor space was kind of limited. The tour was handled very well and professionally, we just were not a big fan of the facility itself.

My experience with The Landing on Dundee Senior Living is with my loved one being a resident. My suggestions for improvement would be: Larger resident rooms in Memory Care, more staff in Memory Care, and allow visitors in the dining area on a limited basis. I'm not sure if I would recommend this facility to others, I have nothing to compare it to.

The problem is, there were certain employees that were wonderful! Others were non-responsive, and unhelpful. One month in the CEO left and the head nurse was going through something huge but we didn't know what. Initially she was very kind and said she would be communications, and she was neither. If you put your family member there you must be an advocate for them. You must be there to follow up on their specific care needs. Getting the correct meds at the correct time took a tremendous amount of communication and follow up on our end. Having wounds cared for was an issue. I moved mom there because they said they would have activities galore and had a lot of programs in place for they were as a group doing different projects that none of that was true. The Activity Coordinator didn't show up for six weeks and nobody filled in. They ignored this, Until we complained, it seemed. Of course, we ultimately complain to the CEO who never responded because he was leaving or getting fired. I do want to say, specific caregivers were phenomenal, worth their weight in gold and on it, and caught my mother when she was nonresponsive twice and sent her to the hospital. Maybe with the CEO gone and whatever that head nurse was going through remedied the place will be far better, but that's what we experienced the few months mom was there.

It's pretty and clean but the personal care , attention to residents and communication from staff/administration is lacking! They need to improve on; response time, quality of care, communication from administration and now they cut staff so it's only getting worse.
