The food is not good. They don't have many activities. The facility is beautiful on the inside.

Dad in hospice now, so gets great care from hospice staff, but care from facility staff depends on who is working... not all staff as attentive or qualified as others. Communications are lacking. Cost significantly increased without warning, moved to a level of care structure on top of baseline. Affordable cost was the primary reason for placing him here, and now the cost is more than his income. And level of care structure makes hospice patients the highest cost, yet the facility staff has less work due to hospice staff that are paid for through health insurance. Corporate/Admin decisions don't make sense, but no other options because dad is already established at this facility and we don't want to move him.

My loved one was previously a resident at Lakeview Personal Care and overall the experience was okay. I've heard that they have made changes and it's different now.

The place felt very "homey" when I toured & Jackie is very kind. Every place has room for improvement & overall my mom is happy! They are very caring & I felt that they truly liked my mom. I did not see attempts at any personal care & often smelled urine on my mom. They did not (as requested) inform me of med changes. There was not a lot of staff at any one given time & I had to look for them occasionally.

The pendent our loved one received never worked so when they would push the button for assistance nobody would come. Our loved one would have to call us so we could get ahold of the staff and tell them what is going on.

Picked up packet. A bit far from North Royalton. More an over 55 community than independent community (not many people around). Dining room and 2 meals per day.

My husband's experience here at this community was adequate. The community is nice and clean, everyone is very friendly and helpful. My issue with this community was that I didn't feel there were enough engaging activities offered for the Eldercare members. My husband wasn't encouraged to be active. He continually was looking for more to do.

Staff was helpful and courteous but the property is currently undergoing renovation. I did not complete my tour because our needs are immediate.

We chose Rockport for affordability and care. My dad was evaluated by the nursing staff and told he would easily fit in, however upon arrival several weeks later, we were told after several days, that he would not be able to stay there. The nursing staff would tell us one thing and the front desk staff another. There was also a "sign on" type of fee of 1000.00 (non refundable) that we were not told about in any previous discussions and had to pay on the first day. Furthermore, the place is an old hotel and the doorways going into the rooms and bathrooms are tight. Accessibility is not good. My dad like the food.

VERY BASIC ASSISTED LIVING, BRING YOUR OWN TV, PHONELINE, MEDS, WHEELCHAIR.

The building is old and my loved one wasn’t happy here. I don’t remember any activities at all. The physical therapy would get a four if it was a category. The employees were a three. My loved one didn’t like the food.

The food is not nutritional. They don't give my father in-law good care. I'm in the process of moving him out of that place.

I gave a 30 day notice to bring mom closer to home & they never refunded my $$$. Called multiple times & was told its up to corporate. Would never recommend!

Buyer beware. PT/OT are excellent. But, facility changed its scope to fill 2nd floor with memory care & clients who require prodigious amounts of personal care. Staffing has NOT increased for needs, yet Lakes assures meets PA requirement. All 2nd floor who are capable are getting short shrift & largely must take care of themselves. Baths 2x/week don't occur anymore due to staff is constantly tied up with more dependent residents. Food is lousy, nutrition poor. Weird assigned seating for meals. Scheduled menu items frequently unavailable & Lakes claims to have "just run out" after 1st floor was served first. I don't know how this place can even begin to claim that they do diabetic care, unless they mean the glucose tests + pass the meds, because dietary needs of a diabetic can't be met by the kind of meals that we catalogued in a 5 month stay. Had to clean toilet ourselves. NP breezes in and talks in public at meals, then bills for full-service office visit. Nobody checks wt or vitals.

Most of these reviews are older. New management has taken over and it has changed alot. Biggest change is the dining services. They do not cook meals on the weekends, they provide packaged meals on Friday, to last the weekend. Typically a sandwich , soup, and small entree. Starting Feb, no breakfast either. Also you do not get to pick a meal, you get what you get. I guess they figure its Independant living, so you can make your own. Typically no staff around after 5pm or weekends, so if you're looking for security, they only have cameras. They provide call buttons, but tell them not to wear them at night, because they are too sensitive. You have to put your trash in laundry room, sits over weekend. I suppose they are trying to move to a totally independent facility? It used to be how they advertise themselves, a luxury retirement community...Umm not so much anymore. The rent is reasonable, you get what you pay for. The lobby and dining area are nice, rooms are outdated

There have been at least six MC directors in three years. 2020 to 2023. [name removed] was investigated by Adult Protective Services due to a unreported fall that resulted in a broken leg. The MC staff and director should have better knowledge of how to turn the bedridden residents, how to dress residents who have pain, and how to cut up food for those who can no longer use utensils. Food for those who can feed themselves with utensils is usually very good. The activities are good. The outdoor area for the MC is small, hot, and with sad landscaping. The MC office is lackadaisical with many wrong phone numbers and misplaced paperwork. The ladies at the sign-in area are the best! Since I have another family member in another MC facility in Tampa so I can say that [name removed] MC staff is not up to the standards that they should be as caregivers.

There is a constant turnover of staff and frequent issues with poor response to the call button. Some staff a very friendly, some are not.

Regent of Stow….where we don’t do anything we said we would and if we said it, we didn’t mean it. Total disappointment. They fail in every way. You can talk to whoever you want. Nothing changes. No management or pride in care of residents.

I would want others to know we did not have a good expedience here. Something happened and they had to take my dad to the hospital. They did not call us or even tell us that it happened and I got a medical bill in the mail. When he left here, he had a whole bunch of medicines from the pharmacy they use, they were supposed to get them all together so I could pick them up and they somehow disappeared. The price is good.

The staff at the Rockport were also very friendly and accommodating, very welcoming. My biggest concern was the building: it felt like a motel. Granted there was no furniture in the apartment I saw. First the location of the Rockport is in the middle of a busy, commercial street. The lobby was uninviting, the rooms also uninviting. A big drawback for my aunt would be the lack of a kitchen and therefore wouldn't work. I feel badly because the two women I met clearly were committed to providing the best for their clients.
