Bldg small and old. Facility specialized in Parkinson. Had dog and cats. Walker for Parkinson, u-step. room was nice. microwave /refrig in closet, common areas tight and tired. People seemed nice. workers ~14 yrs. High marks for Parkinson knowledge.

close to lake west. can do a short term stay to try it out.Very nice and can handle incontinence and limited mobility. Church pastor feels this is a good place.

Awesome place. The most expensive of all checked, but very clean, staff friendly and knowledgable. Schedule is flexible enough for her needs and rooms are nice size with ample storage spaces.

I went to see it and it looked very nice, I like the apartments and the ala carte options, the director has been a big help.

This facility sounds very good.

Very nice place, brand new. All patients mingle together. A lot of activites, nice rooms, etc. Larger facility with many more residence. Northfield Manor is part of the Merrill Hills group.

Another Sunrise entirely devoted to AD care through hospice. Well run with cohesive staff. In an outlying suburb, mostly staffed and populated by local people. Perhaps 5 years old with many original staff. Very appealing & suitable. Point system here differs from point system at Sunrise Wilmette.

We toured with Sunrise of Barrington and right when we walked in, all we could smell was urine. It was also very cluttered.

Communication is not very good and we have trouble getting ahold of staff members. I would only recommend this community understand the staffing issue.

My mom was in the memory care unit here during covid. Generally, everything here was pretty good. Most of the nurses were really great. She had a fully and they said they could take care of it but we did have some constant issues with it. They do only have 1 washing machine per building and there are 12 residents per building which caused an issue. My mom did eat well here and she really enjoyed the activities provided before the director left. They were very helpful and I would tell others to check it out and do not be afraid to move your loved one if you do not feel it is the right fit.

I recently took a tour to find a place for my mom, who is in need of an assisted living facility. I reside in Mentor and wanted something close to my place of employment in Willoughby. very nice place, I am definitely thinking of going with Maple Ridge. everyone I met was very pleasant

The staff is very friendly and very clean. They have a great view from the dining room. My mom likes the staff and residents. They could use more aides though.

Mom is in this community and they are very pleasant and nice to her. There is only a couple of thing that I hope improve, and that is the wait when she calls for help it takes up to 30 to 45 minutes for them to come. They could at least pop in and check to make sure she wasn't hurt or something. And they were slow at getting her therapy started. Her room is always nice and clean.She says the food is OK and the have a variety to choose from, there is a pleasant atmosphere in the dining area. She enjoys the exercise class and the music functions. She went on a trip to a museum and enjoyed that. I would recommend this community.

They are remodeling the community, however they are trying to keep it clean in the process. They did not let us know that the community changed ownership. They have a few social events for independent living. They have a continental breakfast that consists of a lot of sweets. They offer lunch and it is pretty good. I would recommend asking a lot of question when you look at this community.

I think this community would work for someone that was younger and more mobile. This is an old hospital that has been converted. There are multiple levels. My loved ones would not have been able to stay together as they offer different care in different buildings.

It's been an adjustment but mom is doing well. She is starting to participate in activities and meeting new people. The staff is friendly and kind and makes us feel welcome when we are there. The food appears to be the good mom hasn't complained about it. The owners seem to take care of the inside and out when ever I am there the place smells good and is always clean.

The tour went fine but they were not the right fit. I saw cottage style apartment with few residents in separate cottages. I also didn't think there were that much activities that would interest my loved one.
