A very pleasant place with friendly staff and a light and cheery decor. The amenities are first class as are the activities for the persons in their care. The Memory Care section was spotless, light in decor, and the staff showed exceptional care for the persons in that unit. I would highly recommend Home Care to persons looking for a small-to-medium sized full care facility where the persons in their care treated with respect, professionalism, and caring.

We are very pleased with everything at Solstice, the food is great, the staff is friendly and mom loves the staff and her room. I would recommend the community to others.

The staff is very friendly & caring & they all learned my mother in law's name almost immediately. She seems to like the food & some of the activities. Her room is large enough for her & the whole facility is overall very clean. I would recommend the community to others.

Discovery is a very friendly community with nice people. My apartment is spacious and reasonable. I enjoy the meals and chats with the Director of Dining Services. I would recommend Discovery Village!

As soon as you walk in the front door, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I enjoy all the wonderful programs and activities Discovery provides. I have made great friends because of our common interests, and I am very happy at Discovery Village Des Plaines!

I would rate them a five on every single item except number six, food. They have really struggled to keep an executive chef on staff and the quality of the food has faltered because of that. I would probably rate the food situation a 2. When they get that cleaned up, this is an absolutely spectacular community.

I love everything about College View. The staff is very courteous, kind, caring, and they're also somehow able to remember the names of all the residents, as well as the relatives who visit frequently. They all greet me by name when I'm there. The cleanliness is immaculate. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, attractively decorated, warm, and inviting. The apartment my mother is in is also kept clean by a once a week staff housekeeping visit. My mom’s very spacious one bedroom apartment had all new carpeting and flooring throughout when we moved her in. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are modern, attractive, and spacious. She even has a nice little private patio area where she can go outside to sit and enjoy the view. There are numerous activities every single day for the residents to join in on. There are also trips either once or twice every week (I don't recall how many times per week it is) to places like Walmart, the dollar store, etc. All the residents are very kind and so friendly to each other. They have tried to help my mom feel welcome there and are always inviting her to sit with them in the facility's restaurant on the first floor. I have been truly amazed at how nice the people there are. As far as the restaurant, the residents are able to eat both lunch and dinner there for no extra cost. The food looks good, smells good, and tastes good!! I have eaten there twice with my mom and have loved everything I've ordered. It is truly a restaurant, and residents and guests are able to order off a menu. The menus change from week to week, but there is also a full page in the menu for items that are always available. The kitchen/restaurant staff goes out of their way to be sure everyone has exactly what they want and need. There has never been any kind of extra accommodation we've asked for that has been denied. Another positive about College View is that the staff members are completely responsive to any and everything asked or requested by the residents. There is not a problem they would not try to address. And their response is immediate. If anything needs to be done, they are sending someone to do it right then. I know this because my mom had to have her closet door adjusted and a light replaced--and it was done the very day we requested it. When she needed something adjusted with her shower handle and the thermostat in her hot water tank, again, an on-site plumber or handyman of some kind was immediately there to take care of the issue. I can't say enough good about College View Manor. There are things about it that I love so much – like the little library and various other cozy areas where books are on shelves for the residents to read or take back to their rooms. There are lovely sitting areas all around the facility that just make it seem so comfy and inviting. I'm only 63, but I honestly feel that College View is a place I could enjoy living at now! It's so, so nice in every way. Oh, and as far as the Price, it seems reasonable. Before we moved my mother to College View, we checked into another independent living facility that we also liked, but it was quite a bit more expensive and out of my mom's reach financially. I'm so glad College View was able to offer her just as nice of a living experience for much less. College View Manor is without a doubt a huge asset to Joplin and the surrounding communities.

Everyone was very friendly and invited us for lunch and it was delicious. They are being very attentive to all of my sister's needs. The facility is very clean and pretty.

The staff was very welcoming and the building and grounds were clean and well kept. I appreciated meeting key staff and administrators during my visit and all my questions were answered clearly. State Street has followed up with me and has offered any assistance I may need to help find the right place for my loved one.

The staff is incredible and responsive. It was a big decision for my dad to move out of his house. Everyone--from applying to getting him moved--made the process easy. Everyone has been very welcoming towards my dad. It's still an adjustment for him, but each day is getting easier.

Terra Bella is great. It took a few weeks for us mom and I to figure things out and get in a routine. She is now making friends and busy all day. I already have recommended them to others.

I think it's a pretty nice place. We have exercises, and I like those. I like to be strong. I really like the BINGO, and we have church. The staff is pretty nice. I have been here seven years now, and it gives me a place to be with friends.

We are in Oregon, so we don't see [name removed] and [name removed] (my husband's parents) very often, but we do phone them regularly. [name removed] sold them on Coastal Heights - she really paid attention to their needs and worries and they trusted her. She was a big help in getting them to agree to make the move. It also helped that they got a veteran's discount, as they have always been very frugal. I know [name removed] job was to explain their contract in legal terms, but they didn't understand most of what she said. Perhaps just the highlights or maybe a simple written list they can refer to? The 2 residences solved the problem of separate bedrooms which was important to both of them. We heard that [name removed] and [name removed] like a refill of coffee, but once the wait staff have delivered the meal, they do not return or notice that their cups are empty. We have suggested that the folks make their own coffee in one of their apartments - then they could have some more anytime, but I don't think they do that. They have both commented that dining room staff are often surly and cold. And they are not invited to join people who seem to have permanent seating. [name removed] is losing weight and I told him to ask for seconds, but I don't think he does that either. And he doesn't feel that he can ask for something else if he doesn't like what he ordered. I know that it takes [name removed] a long time to eat. I think he has esophageal spasms which are painful, and he has to wait until the muscles relax before continuing to eat. I have warned him that they occur when he drinks hot or cold liquids, yet he persists in ordering them. Too big a bite can also bring it on. Nothing staff can do about that , but they might be more understanding if they were aware of his problem. We understand that CH is independent living, but it would be nice if [name removed] had someone to take her to Chair Exercise and Happy Hour - she loved Happy Hour once, but [name removed] is not social and refuses to go with her. Once she knows how to get to a room on her own, she is pretty independent. I think she is lonely - perhaps the staff can help. [name removed] loves people!! Recently they have had trouble getting to use the washer/dryers. That should get better once they know how to avoid busy times.

Overall I have had a good experience at The Forum at Park Lane so I will say a 5 star rating. I am impressed with the courtesy and commitment of the staff, variety of activities and dependable transportation. I am pleased I made this choice. I would recommend the community to others.

I was extremely impressed with our visit(s) and mom is deciding that this is the right place to call home.

Convenient location, excellent staff (friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and professional). This was just a review of facilities, we will revisit when we are ready to enter a facility.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the facility and the staff. We actually visited on Labor Day and they had organized a cookout for the residents that they invited us to participate in. The staff are all kind and their interactions with the residents seem very genuine. the residents we spoke with were happy to chat about their experiences and the facility. The executive Chef introduced himself and apologized for not being able to take time out to chat with us. We ended up signing a lease and my mother-in-law moves in the end of the month!

We really liked this community. We went back for a second time and it was a great visit. The staff are professional and friendly and very thorough. We haven’t made a decision yet but they are on the list.

All the staff was very friendly, and the place was clean and I liked all the walking paths outside. The place looked like it was placed in a park. We had a couple of meals there they were all done very well. I would say the only problem with the meals is the waiting time since they made each meal fresh it did take some time to get around.
