Cogir Senior Living

Our tour at Holiday Carmel Place was pleasant - good location - but the common areas (dining room, activity room etc.) were a bit dark and dated. Community Spaces were not inviting or open feeling.

Initially they communicated really well, they've had a change of staff and seems a little confusing currently, fortunately we're able to visit regularly the new staff seems caring. My loved one's health has improved as far as a UTI went, I wish it wasn't so expensive but I guess that's the way it is it won't be long as my loved one will be on social security solely. Even with the change of staff I would rate the facility high, sadly I think the cost is outrageous but it seems to be how it is.

I have only been here for a few months, but so far I would recommend Holiday Astor House to other families.

I have been a happy resident at Cogir for nearly 2 years and have experiences nothing but love and caring from the entire staff. Many activities are offered to help keep us busy and included. I am so glad to be here.

Bad start for my loved one as they fell 3 times in the first week and then spent 2 nights in the hospital My loved one is doing good now that we have worked things out. They staff are doing a good job and everyone knows my loved one's name and call my loved one by it. The staff are doing a good job. It is a good place. There could be some work to improve the cleanliness of the eating area. There are three meals a day. The staff are easy to talk with from the aides all the way up to the Director.

Our family had an in person tour with Studio Royale and even though we did not pick this community for our loved one, overall we thought it was a good tour experience from everything we saw within the community.

Fantastic! A nice close community of 93 apartments with people of all different ages and abilities actively engaged with activities. I'm sure you can there's a nice freedom of Independence yet safety. The staff is extremely kind and helpful the dining is excellent quality. There's no pressure to join in with the activities or to eat your meals there but they are included in the rent. Getting things moved in and out as extremely easy with a special access door. Guests are treated like family. It is not assisted living... It is truly Independent living. There are all levels of people's mobility from canes to complete wheelchairs. There is even independent caregivers that you can contract if you need some help. The on-site beautician is absolutely wonderful. I wish there were manicures and pedicures available and even the possibility of massages because a lot of these people including myself would benefit from that service.

Cogir is working well for the level of care my mom needs. They check in on her often, most of the time she is plugged in with the group activities. They attend to incontinent needs promptly. The activities could be better.... often they are just watching tv, but they do have music, crafts and discussion time, news etc. In house N.W. Geriatrics, podiatry, hair salon are helpful, med techs are great. It is what it is, memory care means managing behavior... people get agitated. I wish they had a larger outdoor area.

I was impressed with Cogir at first. Was actually going to commit to them, but after they accepted my check, they said they said my mom could not move in yet (or have her furniture delivered) because they had no staff to do the assessment. I asked for the check back. They refused to work with me. The tour was a 5 until I saw their true colors.

I liked the food and the server much better, the apartment was larger and [amount removed]less per year than [name removed]. Nicer grounds too, and an enclosed dog run.

It's been very good interaction with the staff. My loved one loves the food and fits in well. They offer a lot of activites, such as; get togethers,puzzles,worship,fellowship, and singing. It's very good value for the money and I would recommemd to other people. We picked this community, because of the location. They were very accomading, as far as the move in, and it was very easy. They also have the ability to have pets.

This is a nice community. The staff communication with the family is very good. They are quick to call the family to update us on our loved and any changes. There are three meals a day served and the residents have choices to choose from. The community has a lot of activities for the residents; however, it would be nice to engage the residents in more activities.

We loved this place for Mom. Everyone is so nice and friendly and give Mom such great care. They are 5-star in our book!

We picked this community, because of the value for the price, staff/treatment towards community members, and programming/offerings to community members. Cogir is a place that provides an environment and community for its residents, offers activities and services that enrich the residents' lives, treat both residents and their families with dignity and respect and provides good value for the monthly rent. The staff is excellent and goes above and beyond for the residents.

They are extremely easy to work with. They are friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns you may have. The facility really feels like a community. I think the food could use improvements. We have noticed on the weekends when the chef isn't there that the quality goes down quite bit, so that could use some working on. Overall I would recommend Redwood Heights to others.

She is doing well at Glenwood, they have done a great job accommodating her vegan diet with delicious and creative options and her apartment is comfortable. They have in-house PT, OT etc and that has been great as well.

Holiday Emerald Pond is a very good family-like environment.

We've been very happy with Redwood Heights. The staff are excellent people all around. They're friendly and helpful, as are the other residents. The meals are very good. They seem to have plenty of activities. It has been a very good place for our loved one to be.

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked the community and the experience it was great, but at the time they were offering up a higher level of care that our loved one just did not need at the moment.

Carson Plaza really is a great place. The people are super friendly and welcoming. They are having some trouble getting chefs just like everyone else. The food was really good to start out but it has gone downhill - so that could be better. The apartment sizes are very good. Overall I am impressed and I would recommend Carson Plaza to others.
