There are have been a lot of transitions in staff and new construction inside building. The dining room has been under construction for a year. The new chef is trying to improve the overall quality.

You should check it out thoroughly before you sign a contract. Talk to many staff. Visit multiple times and on different dates. Most of the staff is nice. Housekeeping is not so great. Prices, like probably everywhere else, are just plain crazy! I think an open dining situation would be better, as a 3 meal one hour program doesn't work well.

Food has been better, way better in 2020. Jury is out as to whether Cogir will manage things better. Some changes and responsiveness to complaints have not been popular.

I went to tour with Fountain View Village and my first impression of the facility was that it was kind of dreary looking and there did not seem to be many activities going on and the surrounding were not nice. I did not stay very long and knew it was not a good fit for my loved one.

I am still not happy here but I decided to stay. It's easier to just stay in my room like l live in an apartment by myself. Even with eating and fixing my own meals and cleaning my own room. It's still cheaper to stay here for now. Can't believe the cost of things now and the cost of staying in these places. I don't know how long God will keep me here and I'm by myself. I would tell others don't believe everything you are told by the management. Ask some of the resident's instead.

My loved one is a resident at The Auberge at Peoria. Some of the staff are truly in the right job, others do not understand how to be sensitive to the residents. The Activities Director tries, but is poor at his job. The Head Nurse is a sweetheart and goes above and beyond. The facility doesn't have many systems in place, such as hallway cameras, which are needed with the extensive hallways.

We toured The Terrace at Beverly Lake Memory Care during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. The staff was very nice and knew every resident. They had excursions. We saw the dining area after lunch and a tray remained upended with food on the floor. There was more food not cleaned up, as well. Hinted at a staff shortage.

The units are nice and staff nice. We were only there about five weeks, but things seemed unorganized and staff were under - trained. I think we're due a refund on unused time, but no reply to my query about three weeks ago.

The staff are nice but there's always staff shortage. The food is mediocre. The bus doesn't have a wheelchair lift. The activities are fin, and diverse. There is something for everyone. There is a little room for improvement overall, but I have made some really great friends too. Some of the problems come from a food chain issue with Cisco Foods and some from low pay for staff.

The staff members were very friendly. I wasn't there long enough for the activities. The value for cost is high but reasonable. The reason I only was there a couple of weeks, no smoking area, had to be 30 feet away from the building, during the snowy weather, I fell walking around. The final reason was some other people that lived there it was what they wanted & how they wanted it. A lady spilled her water on the floor & I went to wipe it up so nobody would slip & fall & that one person yelled at me to stop, the lady who spilled her water should have to wipe it up!

This facility provides excellent personal and social caring for my loved one. The staff are compassionate and calm. My only objection is communication from management to me. I felt a pretty strong objection to her care being increased by $[removed] three months after her initial residency.

It's basically all about the money sad to say! Once they get community money down-payment animal fee on and on they don't care because if you don't like it you get another fee for breaking lease. I am sure some care but in the long run it's the money. Once your money is gone even if you stay long term out you go!

The community was not ready for tours. The community smelled, and they seemed to be short staffed. Overall this community was not for us.

My husband stayed here before. He said everything was good then. When ownership changed, so did quality of food. Kitchen service is slow. Food is bad half of the time. (Food scheduled on menu - almost not the same.) Staff is nice. Servers are nice but need more training.

We really like the facility and the only reason we gave the overall score a 3 is because they need more staffing. We are hopefully the staffing will improve.

The staff members are friendly but occasionally the housekeeping has struggled a bit. Areas of improvement could be with the meals and activities. The quality of meals could be better as well as having healthier options. The activities are limited at times our loved one has not really been compelled to participate so the activities could be better.

Our family had an in person tour and for what we were looking for, for our loved one the staff to resident interaction just wasn't on the same level. It was still a good tour but it was a big enough difference that made our choice.

My Aunt lost her 2 ct diamond ring somewhere in Avamere. This was her wedding ring of her late Husband of 65 years. Nobody at Avamere really cares. I’m pretty sure it has been found and we will never see it again.

Value for the money, activities, food and cleanliness are the weak spots. There is no on site owner of the facility. If the 2 elevators in the assisted living building, one has been out of order since the end of august. The elevators are disgusting.

I like how independent the facility is. The staff has always been very friendly to my loved one and I. There seems to be a lot of activities, but a lot of them are not geared towards my loved ones and my loved one hasn't been encouraged to participate. The dinning has been hit or miss, they only have a buffet breakfast which my loved one does not care for, the wait staff is very friendly but I believe they are under staffed a lot of the time but I recently feel like this is in improving. this community is doing a lot of upgrades to the property it's self which is really nice. The staff is very receptive when I have any concerns or questions. We were told things that are showing that is not true and feel kind of like we were told deceptive/misleading information from the community. The house cleaning isn't as efficient or constant with cleaning the residents room however the main areas are always clean. There is a clinic on site however the hours are not consistent and I have not seen it open myself. The apartments are equipped with a kitchen and washer and dryer combo, we've had issues with the washer/dryer and still waiting for help, the stove top in the kitchen requires that you have special pots and pans that only work for the stove which were provided brand new from the community, but one doesn't work and they refuse to replace it as well as the washer and dryer combo. I think the communication throughout the community could be improved on all aspects all around. Overall so far things have been good other than a few issues we ran it.
