They are short handed, they don't have enough care givers.

The apartments are really nice! The food is good and most of the staff are friendly. Cleanliness is a little inconsistent and it seems they are a bit understaffed at times.

They have very good staff. Basic activities. Good value. Nice apts. Nearby Fred Meyers. Van for Dr's apps, shopping, excursions, etc. The price stands out.

My mother was going downhill fast and I felt she needed much more care and quicker responses from the staff. For instance, if she needed to go to the bathroom, she could wait up to 15 to 30 minutes to get assistance. The staff felt that they needed more people. They were all lovely people and they adored my mother.

[name removed] experience was positive for the first six or seven months of her time there. Because atrium village was undergoing new management, care has decreased. She had Covid which I tested her for but they never checked in to give us updates on her health. they never cleaned her apartment which meant at the beginning of her illness and for at least 10 days no one cleaned her bathroom where she had an accident on day one. they said she was quarantined, but they left the used masks and gloves outside of her apartment for at least four or five days, they never retested her for Covid. I visit with other residence and they expressed displeasure with the services, or lack there of. They have not had a hairstylist or barber for at least three months. prior to medical appointments, the nursing staff would give us official updates and chart/information on her treatment plan and vitals. This is now scribbled on a piece of paper and there is a shortage of employees in the dining service, and nursing staff.

They're short staffed on med techs. All their upper management left at the same time. We left because they messed up my FIL's glaucoma eye drops so bad he had to have surgery. (They quit giving one of them completely). The food is ridiculous! They give 1/2 sandwiches and call it a meal. I wouldn't recommend until they get their act together.

I still love it, but they have a distance to grow. I would not be afraid to recommend it with full disclosure because I believe they'll get there. It's still sort of new and sometimes they are under staffed. A couple are a tad lazy I think. Over all, the place is clean with good food. They are all very nice people. Being so new, even some of the managers struggle. I think it'll get better with time and once they fill up and fully staff.

The Administration staff is helpful and very friendly. They could improve on the food and the servers.

The facility is located in a cul-de-sac with plenty of trees; it is quite a serene surrounding. There was a recent change in management which is an adjustment. Care and upkeep is not consistent, perhaps due to the change in management and personnel.

Staff are friendly, patient and kind from the receptionist to nutrition services and daily care staff. Nursing care is thorough and attentive. Meals are tasty nutritious and there is good variety. Expect a charge for tray delivery if resident won't go to the dining room. We are renting both sides of a double room so there is ample space to set up a comfortable home environment. A bonus is the kitchenette with mini fridge, sink, room for a coffee maker, and generous closet space. We are working with staff to address concerns with lack of showers, promptness in dealing with urine accidents, inconsistency in help with hearing aids and other issues. Time will tell is concerns are satisfactorily addressed.

It's my first experience having a parent in an independent living facility so I don't know if it's the same way everywhere but it is very cliquish and my mom has had a very difficult time making friends and she is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. The place is under new management and While there are consistent, complains about the poor quality food, they don't make any any improvements. Falls on deaf ears. That's probably the worst thing about the place the food. The facility itself as you know is old although they have made updates and are redoing rooms one by one.

Harvard square could not meet their stated response times. When we moved in they said the would respond in 10 min when my parents clicked their button. Most of the time their response was over 45 min. I was not there enough to judge how the community behaved. It was a clean place and staff were up beat.

In Memory Care I think they try their best. It's too early in the process for me to be really informative but I do think it's important to check in every week. Make sure laundry has been done. Hair cut. Nails trimmed etc. Still learning the process and I have nothing to compare it to so it's hard to say. Definitely tour the place and go with your gut. Rooms are good size, showers are good. Space is good. Dad loves the food.

They have been told many times that they could improve in the food. My mother and many other residents have complained about that. It's a beautiful facility and the apartments are very nice. Mom says the people are nice too.

I want to add that the working staff are wonderful! They clean, they chat to the residents. They are super amazing!

They could improve on communication between all of the different caregivers about individual patients idiosyncrasies. We found that we would communicate with one person and hope that our information and preferences would be disseminated to other caregivers but it didn't appear like they had a consistent way of disseminating that information. All the caregivers themselves were great. We weren't the biggest fans of the nursing coordinator at the time but she had lots on her plate. My mom ended up having a fall and was in the hospital for over a month and then the terrorists didn't want her back after that because they didn't feel they could give the care that she needed. We found an adult family care home, golf view, that has been great

As a medical professional, I would not recommend this facility as it was with the staff at the time my dad was living there. They need to Hire quality staff that has the education necessary to help. Have therapy on staff.

Most staff is wonderful however caregivers have too many residents to look after to care for them properly.

The food needs to be improved. They would benefit from more private rooms. They are friendly but no we would not recommend Cadence at Wake Forest to other families. We ended up moving my mother due to an issue she had with a roommate they could not resolve.

Staff, including caregivers are very friendly and attentive--when they have time. I rate this facility average because, sadly, overly busy staff is the norm in this industry. I believe my family is paying the average, or the expected amount for the extensive services my parent receives at Glenwood. This appears to be an excellent facility for folks who are more independent than my parent, or if your parent qualifies for and can afford memory care.
