I feel like overall they do a great job with the care here! The aides and care staff are all very friendly, and they go out of their way to make the residents feel like this is their home. They always greet everyone by name, and really get to know them on a personal level. They also do a great job with the activities, and like to make sure everyone knows the sorts of things that are going on and encourage them to participate.

They are pretty friendly. They are still transitioning from Merril Gardens to Emeritus. The people are concerned about the food and things changing. The grounds were so much nicer than others we saw, and they have activities. They offer to bring meals up 9 times a month for free if needed. They have a swimming pool which is nice. They do take them out for different outings. She really enjoys the music that comes in. We have had some minor issues as far as responsiveness that have taken reminders to get done, small maintenance things. There are a lot places to sit outdoors, chairs and porch swings, and little tables. They have a rose garden with a fountain and just nice grounds. They have nice private deck outside of each room.

I've tried the food and it is pretty good, it's a four. It seems like they are doing a pretty good job. We chose them because of the overall quality and they have an indoor pool. Overall he is doing much better.

This place looked nice and clean, and everyone was very friendly. I felt like they bent over backwards for me to make sure I had a good time. When I toured I saw a few of the activities going on, and from the calender they showed me it looks like they have a good variety of things to do planned throughout a given month.

For me, it seemed very friendly. My mom had a couple of problems with a couple of the staff, but we had a very unique situation. She had very severe problems and she was in a lot of pain. She would need help getting in and out of bed and to the bathroom. They gave us the impression that they could provide the full continuum until the end unless there was something like a stroke where they couldn't swallow, but we just didn't feel like there were quite enough people. My parents didn't participate in the activities because my mom was so sick, but they were available. The food seemed OK, but my parents weren't too excited about it. They didn't like spicy food at all and they thought that even the normal food there was too spicy, so my dad was eating hamburgers four or five days a week. I always thought the food smelled good, though!

Nice community but there didn't seem to be many people out of their rooms. If you have an active elderly parent, this is not the place for them

What a nice quiet warm place..reminds me so much like a Hotel,the staff seems very warm and everyone was smiling,got a good feeling,felt like it would be very safe for my wife...Hope to try their two overnite 'nights off' for me...and have heard nothing be good things about it..

Due to a rather quick decline in Mother's health, we needed to have to her leave her independent living residence and go into respite care so that she could regain her strength. That gave us the opportunity to actually have her stay at two different assisted living residences for two weeks each and do a compare/contrast in regard to the food, caregiving, etc. Though she began to regain her strength, I was not at all pleased with the first asst'd. care residence; had she moved in, she would have had a nicer apt. at a lower cost, but she was going to be vastly overcharged for her service plan. She agreed to then go to Redwood Heights and after 3 days, decided that it was the place for her (if we were going to "force" her to go into asst'd. living). Unfortunately she fell & broke her hip after being there just 6 nights; no fault of theirs, that's for sure! Five + weeks later after surgery and rehab, she returned and moved into her studio apt. I wanted to wait to write this review until after she had completed her initial 30-day service plan and revisited her needs/wants. Mike Burdick, the executive director, did an excellent job of conducting the meeting and Mother was pleased with the outcome. Now that she's gotten used to the services provided for her, she's very comfortable with where she is, especially appreciating the medication administration, assistance with showering & dressing and personal laundry services. She feels that she's able to still maintain a good portion of her independence though living in an assisted living residence. She's especially appreciative of the Resident Assistants' friendliness and aid.

Clean, well staffed, fresh food, caring assistance, conscientious administration. Some residents are here for over 10 years. Close to senior center and transportation and shopping.

This was a great place -loved the independent living option and option to transfer to Assisted LV later. Am hearing that that process is not as smooth as it appears. But great location in terms of diversity , activities, rations etc.

I enjoyed the tour of the facilities. The studio was quite small and more expensive than the other two I visited. It was clean and inviting with quite a few amenities.

It's a nice facility but I didn't like it as an option for my mom. It looks pretty but they had no care as far as what she would need for her dementia. They were saying they would have the care but they didn't.

I'm not there anymore. It was okay. They had a bunch of activities like exercise and bingo - just the normal things they have at a retirement center. The food was okay. The had transportation and housekeeping once a week. They were friendly. I wish I would have stayed.

The Montecito was very nice, but we just didn't feel like we would have had the space that we needed. The rooms were very small. The staff was friendly though, and answered any questions that we may have had. I would have moved in if the space wasn't an issue.

Everything is fine. My mother is very happy there. She's in assisted living and the care is fine.

The cost differs from one bedroom to two so it could be from about $2800 to $4200 a month and that price includes meals, which are good. My mother-in-law doesn’t participate in them much, but there are activities available to her if she wanted to participate. They have all kinds of things going on.

They were nice. The reason we didn’t pick them was they didn't have any bedroom units available, which is what I was looking for. They only had studios.

Very pretty, lots of trees, friendly staff.

Showed us around the facililty & introduced us to Anita their nurse.

I liked it but it was just more than my dad wanted to spend. It was really just a financial decision that led us to choose another community.
