I chose this community because I have an Aunt who lives here I have had previous knowledge and really like the community. Also, the homes around the facility are 55+ so there are no children running around and it’s not a busy area. It feels like the country but it’s close to the city and has all of the amenities. The staff is very kind here; when you’re walking down the hall staff will actually come up to you and talk with you. They even ask you if anything is wrong or if you have any complaints. If there is anything wrong, they fix the issue right away and they’re very appreciative in helping. Instead of just talking with the front desk staff, they have management come to your room and speak with you. The staff is very compassionate and friendly. When I was moving my Father in, [Removed]the bookkeeper told me I could eat with him and he wouldn’t be charged for it. They also told me if we needed help hanging the pictures they would send in a work order and the facility maintenance would be up to his apartment the next morning. I really loved that because it was less of a hassle for me, I didn’t have to get a hammer and nails and drag them up to his room. The other thing I really like is he has a button for the staff. If he needs help with anything or even if he falls he just has to click the button and the staff is there for him. He feels so much more secure being here than being in his big home. He can still have this independent private lifestyle but also know that there is someone always around for him. My Father also has a key to the doors so if he comes back after hours, he can still get back in. When he leaves all he has to do is leave his name, room number, and the time. They just want to know who is in the facility in case there is an emergency. The rooms are unfurnished but I think it’s a good thing because I can make it feel more like home for him. He can bring in his favorite chair and bring in his art. There is someone who comes in once a week named [Removed] who sweeps the floor and gets everything picked up. Every Wednesday you can put your laundry in the hall and it will be returned later that afternoon. There’s a kitchen with a 2 burner stove and full sized refrigerator but does not include an oven or microwave. There’s plenty of kitchen storage, bedroom storage, and even has a balcony. As for the facility, it is very clean and when you walk in it feels like home. There’s not dust lingering around and no messes on the floor. There’s a beautiful courtyard with a huge veranda on one side and big beautiful trees along the walking path. As for the food my Father thinks that sometimes the portions are a little on the smaller side but he can always ask for a second portion. The dining room is open from 7 AM to 7 PM. They serve 3 meals a day and offer plenty of substitutions if you do not like what they are offering. At any point during the day, they have snacks available like fruit, baked goods, coffee, tea, and water. For activities that have a bunch of things like pool tables, bingo, card games, puzzles, music and wine, big Sunday brunches, and dance nights. There is a bus that can take you to doctor appointments, Walmart, the mall, or the bank. Also, once a month they will take you to the casino or a restaurant. I would highly recommend this facility.

I’ve moved in to Gresham Manor. I like it overall, but there is always room for improvement. The maintenance man has been off due to medical reasons, and it took them a while to get a substitute. It took some time to get the issues I mentioned at move-in fixed, but now they are taken care of. The grounds people come once a week to tidy the community up. The staff is absolutely great, so friendly. The man that showed me around was very friendly, nice, and helpful, and the dining room staff does an excellent job. They all deserve to be commended because any time there is any sort of issue, everyone lends a hand. The food is fine, but I don’t feel that the meal options always cater to special diets. I try to eat what I can though. They have lots of activities like card games, movie nights, and live entertainment. Overall, I’m pleased with the community, and I’d recommend it.

My friend lives here and is happy with where he's at. The staff is easy to communicate with. He's able to do all of his own cooking. They keep the place clean and the trash gets taken out. There's an activities board with postings of things to do. They even gave him his own shop that he can work on cars in, because he's been a mechanic his whole life. I recommend living here.

My grandmother lives in Harvard Park Retirement, and so far it has been a good experience. The affordability is excellent for what residents get at this community. The have activities like Bingo, and other games to keep the residents busy and social. They also have transportation to places outside of the community. The meal service is great. It’s restaurant style, so they give you a menu, and you can order whatever you off of it. The staff and the owners, [Removed], have been great; Very helpful. They made the move in process very simple and quick. Overall, I’d recommend it to others.

We have moved my mother into Sunridge, and she has lived there for about a month so far. We had another community in mind, but we were put on the waitlist. Despite our desire to have her in another community, we have all found Sunridge to be a fantastic alternative. The community as a whole could be kept up more, and I find it could be cleaner. However, the food is very good, the staff has been so friendly, helpful, and accommodating to my mother and the rest of the family, and the place is affordable. In addition, even though my mother has only been there for a month and hasn’t had much chance to take part in activities yet, there is so much going on that she can take part in. The community has sewing classes, Bingo, grocery trips twice a week, games, barbeques, and a full calendar of many more activities. We would definitely recommend Sunridge to others

My mom is really enjoying her stay at this community she is clean and healthy looking which is a great change. She enjoys the activities such as clogging and playing the piano herself. They have a beautiful garden area. She loves watching [Removed] with the gang she calls them so she's making friends. The staff is very friendly and attentive to her needs. The food is great also and would recommend to my friends and family. Something else I love is they have a support group for family member to educate us on dementia and helps us understand what mom is going through. The grounds are kept very nice and they decorate for the different seasons I give them 4 stars for sure.

My mother and I chose Atrium Village in 2012 after visiting several other senior communities in Baltimore County. She had suffered from a stroke the year before. She liked the location (15 minutes from her home) and the pleasant staff who went out of their way to make her feel at home. She was making friends and enjoying all the amenities of the facility when she fell in 2015 and broke her arm. After an extended hospital stay, she was transferred from the Independent Living side of the facility to the Assisted Living side where she could receive more attention from nurses and nurses aides. She is at a sad place in her life now -- she's confused most of the time, she's legally blind and her arm never healed from the 2015 fall. The staff at the Atrium has been invaluable throughout all of this. I work an hour away from the Atrium and there is no other local family members to help with my mother's care. I can relax because the nursing staff and other residents have become her second family. They help her dress, walk her to meals, cut up her food, encourage her to attend activities and make sure she is safely in her room each night. I am so blessed that the Atrium was available to help us through a sad, confusing time in our family's life. They have all been a Godsend.

This community is the perfect match for my mom. She loves living here she is so happy and I am happy for her. She does the activities and social events. She is meeting new people and making friends all the time. She loves the food there raves about it constantly which I don't mind. The staff is wonderful super nice and friendly. it makes a world of difference when you already know someone here like my mom did. Mom loves to garden and when she found out they have a gardening club she was thrilled and excited to know in the spring they will be able to plant stuff. I would happily recommend this community to anyone.

I really liked this community it was one of the better choices for my mom. The community was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and very nice. She would have gotten good care here.

So far so good for us. We are having a little trouble with billing but the are working on it. The cleanliness is good and no bad smells. Everything is good.

This community is very lovely it has just been recently remodeled in the last year. The staff was very nice and friendly. I just felt the community was going to be too large for my mom.

Very nice place - to far from Family & Friends

This community is very nice. It has a country feel to it more open than others we looked at. Mom is doing very well here she really likes it. She is doing the activities they offer and she is meeting new people and starting to make friends. For the most part, the food is good there are some days it isn't as good. Mom has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is spacious enough for her she is very comfortable and content.The housekeeping is doing a good job keeping her apartment clean and the community itself appears clean and well maintained. I would recommend them.

We toured the Astor House at Springbrook Oaks. It was a nice community. The staff was friendly. It was a nice clean, beautiful community. We chose another community that was closer to our doctors and places we were more familiar with.

The guy who gave us the tour of the community was great and did a great job. However when we met the management, I didn't like them as much. Since then we have heard some issues from some residents who live there. I felt there was a conflict between the staff and management. They were a large community, bigger than what we wanted.

We toured different communities and this seemed to be older than others we had toured. The staff was very nice and helpful on the tour. The residents and their families seemed to feel comfortable there. They have medical staff on site 24hours a day which is a nice feature. It just didn't feel like the right choice for my uncle.

My mother in law is doing so much better than she was at home. She is really liking her new surroundings. She is much closer to her daughter which is a plus. She is making new friends. She really enjoys the church services they hold. She finds herself eating much better than she was doing at home. We would recommend this community to anyone.

With the medical issues that mom has she is doing as well as can be expected. She is overall not happy and that is not to say she is not trying but mostly that is due to her medical issues. The staff has been very good with her. They are patient and nice overall everyone is very friendly here. I'm sure the food is good she is eating better than before. The only time I was there the community appeared clean and well maintained. I am happy and comfortable with the level of care she is receiving here.
