Cogir Senior Living

Astor house is my home. I got here when they opened up in 2001. I had left for 2 years and came back because there is nothing like it. Staff is very kind and so are the residents. Activities are my favorite. I love when we play wii bowling. The food is moderate. Always room for improvement.

This facility has felt like smoke and mirrors to us. The Executive Director is terrible and runs her staff with fear. I believe that they are underpaid. The rest of the staff/care staff is great, but the ED should be looked into.

The overall experience so far has been good- my only experience was limited to the tour, room selection an d community service fee. The cleanliness of the community is good from what I could see- limited experience. The staff members are very nice, and so far we have had no experience with the care services. The meals looked very pleasant, professional warm and inviting, but did not actually eat a meal. No experience with the activities as well.

My Mom has been at Where The Heart Is since March 2023. We selected this facility because of the open-living concept of the floorplan which invites the residents to share more of their waking hours. This has proven to be the very aspect that Mom is most pleased with as she has become very social in recent years. Not only does she enjoy meaningful relationships with other residents, but she would say the same is true of many of the caregivers and therapists who work with her. She loves others deeply and she is loved deeply in return.

Activites are outstanding and plentiful. Something for everyone. NO matter what you abilities there is something for out in the activity department! Trips to parks, bingo, crafts, exrcise, movies and social gathering such with snacks ike a sundae or birthday cake. SUch great people work in the activity center also! Lona is very fun and also professional. If you like trips to shop or special events there are 2 accessible buses and a car to take you out for fun or doctor appointments.

The whole process with A Place for Mom was so incrediblely helpful!!! I picked because of the overall value for cost, especially meals. Also the location was very important, it provides a lot of extra experiences, especially for the independant level person.

I would recommend it to a friend. I picked this community, because of the overall look, feel and location

The staff at Atrium Village have been wonderful. They made a tough transition for my mom much more palatable. She was still in mourning for my Dad and was uprooted from her home to this Senior Living Facility. I didn't think she would come around so soon. The staff made that transition happen, all in 4 months time. [Name removed], the Executive Director there, is just like his name. A spiritual song that soothed my mom's spirit. He would send pictures of her smiling and enjoying the activities. He gave me comfort that my mom was in good hands and care. The staff were there to encourage her and to assist her. She went from not eating, to gaining 25 pounds. Communication with the family has been great. Me and my brothers get called often with concerns, like a change in her habits or hints for dealing with certain situations. They've been awesome, we love them! Mom is doing very very well.

I am not receiving care at Cogir of Queen Anne, I'm in independent living. I also have not signed up for any meal plans. Thus those items are not applicable for me . All else is very satisfactory. There are a variety of activities are offered each week, including music performances, nature walks and excursions.

It is a really nice place and the unit she got was in our price range it is a newer facility. I would recommend because the staff goes out of their way to accommodate you.

I am currently a resident at Holiday Carmel Place. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The move in process was easy for me and my apartment was ready when promised. They hired a new Chef and made changes to their procedures, which have improved the choices and quality of our meals. I would recommend Holiday Carmel Place to others. Overall it's a very good place that offers extra perks!

My mother-in-law is very happy at Cadence. She loves her room and has easily made new friends.It had a 100 rating and it had a room available that she liked. I would recommend to others.

The staff at Holiday Lake Shore commons are friendly, but spread thin. They are busy. My loved one said that no one has come to clean her place yet since she's moved in, so she does it herself. The communication with the family could be improved with more interaction with the family, like text check ins maybe. I often get nervous when my loved one doesn't answer because I really don't think that the staff has time to keep track of everything. However, my loved one loves it there and it's probably just that I do worry that she is alone. Everyone there is friendly and the people that live there look after one another the best that they can. I definitely feel really good about my loved one's safety there. I'm more concerned with something happening to her and them not realizing it, especially during the night.

My answers are compared to her previous facility in Texas. My mother is much more positive about everything at Cogir Glenwood Place than her previous facility. There is a positivity and energy from the staff and residents that we hadn't experienced before. The level of care for the same need classification is much, much better at CGP. In general the staff is very positive, responsive and seem to like working at CGP.

The staff is very helpful and most have great attitudes. My mom has made a friend that she really likes, which is nice too see. I would recommend to others.

I have a couple of comments 1. I haven't eaten in the dining room yet. I find the menu lacking and very disappointing. 2. The parking kind of sucks. I am dreading when the weather turns cold and nasty. Overall, it is nice. I need to get settled in more.

Independent living but with home health agency on site which worked best for both parents with different needs. It's a pretty good community for those needing basic needs met (food, laundry, cleaning). Apartments are pretty nice.

The carpets are worn in the common areas but are being replaced in January. Dad likes the food but only had one complaint that some of the food is fried. He is a very picky eater so with this one complaint coming from him is better than good! Dad loves Lakeshore Commons. He has become active. He's made lots of friends and he told me that I made a very old man happy.

The staff is caring and attentive, facility is well maintained and clean, residents are generally happy and look out for one another. Our dad raves about the food. Good partnership with the nursing team on medication adjustments, etc.
