The Princeton Village - Nathan is the person who runs the show, and Melissa is the sales manager and they're both very caring, courteous and kind people. They took time to meet with her, and be with her. They're very helpful, although they have just one maintenance guy. Still. the apartments are in good repair and are very clean. They have a good laundry facility, exercise room, and a movie theater. I was really fortunate that the Princeton had a one-bedroom apartment available right when I needed it. The Princeton is also one of those places that, if you run out of personal funds, will continue to care for your loved one on Medicaid.

We recently moved a relative to Arte. It is a beautiful faciilty and the food is superb. Since it is not a capacity some things were less than perfect, but nothing is ever just perfect, the staff was more than willing to correct any issues and work with us to make sure all our relative's needs were met. It is now under a new management and great things are happening. Our relative is enjoying the activities and all they have to offer. He feels welcome, has made new friends and knows the staff cares for him. We have the peace of mind that he, although living independently, at over 88, is in a setting where he can thrive but then has help if needed. The new management is reaching out to the residents and their families for input on how to make it the best it can be. New residents are moving into the beautifully appointed apartments weekly. Be sure and take a tour when looking for such a place for yourself or a loved one. You will not be disappointed.

We had my father living there about 2 weeks. He died about 2 weeks ago, after being transferred from the hospital. I thought their level of care was excellent; They cooordinated with hospice and checked on him every hour. The staff were very welcoming to us. They were very professional - they have a private dining room, and they went over all the details with us. I have to admit that, not knowing what all this cost, it was competitive with others but it came to about $165 a day for both the care and the studio apartment. That was for a kitchenette, a chair and a sofa bed. The apartment was very bright and well-lit and the facilities were very well taken care of.

The only complaint I would have is there is not a smooth transition when you first move in. There is not a system in place to make sure new residents have their medications and no one seemed to have any answers. My mom wishes there was more to do, there are no arts and crafts, which she would like.

Glad I made the choice to move here. Staff is friendly, there are many activities if one wishes to participate. I feel the biggest negative issue at this Solista is the food service area. There is an overload of sodium being used in food preparation (many residents are on sodium restricted diets.) too much repetition, therefore not much variety, and definitely too many carbs per meal. It would be great to have the weekly menus printed up in a timely manner.

My one bedroom is 614 feet. It's just right for me. I did have to buy some small shelving units because there is not enough storage. The lady that cleans my room once a week is very good. The food is very good you can have the daily special or order separate items. There are daily activities if you feel like attending, no pressure.

The experience of getting into the facility was very easy and very fast. The renovations are really lovely and feel modern. The food quality is very low. For an example on meal was a thin slice of bland chicken with sauce, frozen veggies, canned sweet potato's and jello for dessert. I was very surprised. They advertise alternative foods in each pod but once it was only peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that had been made ahead in the morning. The food often arrives to his unit cold. My dad refuses to eat most of it and just makes himself sandwiches in his own room. I feel bad for the folks that might not be able to do that on their own. The activities are varied my dad enjoys a lot of them. He has been disappointed in some. They had a "bbq" but it was just lunchroom hamburgers served outside. So the quality is very uneven. After a month there I'm not certain this will be a good fit. I'm very concerned about my dad's quality of life with such poor food.

The staff has been great, and the facility is always clean. Maintenance issues I've reported have been resolved quickly. The food options could be healthier. They serve too many carbs and not enough veggies and protein. My mom is in a 2 bedroom unit and there is ample space. The app they use for making online payments is awful. It is not easily accessed.

The staff are the absolute best. From Paige to all the staff we know now, they all have been wonderful, patient, and understanding of seniors with increasing needs. We love the restaurant style dining experience. There are always activities and trips and celebrations at Solista to keep seniors engaged. The size of the apt is just right for Mum. Having a balcony is excellent. I also appreciate that they work with hospice if and when needed. Overall, I would recommend the community to others.

The front staff are always great, sometimes it's hard to get ahold of someone to help with my questions about her care/cleaning. Communication seems to break down. Her room size is fine. She says she enjoys the food but after a year I think she's sometimes a bit bored of it. I can't comment on activities because she stopped doing them but whenever I ask what they have it sounds like it would be a full day, and lots of interesting choices. Overall the place is clean, sometimes the trash is outside peoples doors and I dont think they are supposed to do that. I have been let down by the cleaning crew in her room and had to complain and send pics once. But compared to other facility research I did it's over than a lot of them and for the price it marks all the boxes. So really no complaints overall and I would recommend.

Compared to other independent living facilities, Solista Milwaukie is a 3.8. If that designation isn't available, I don’t know what to give it. MAYBE it could squeak in at 4. The staff is unfailingly polite. They always have a smile. Well, except for [name removed], the chef. He can be...brusque. I don't think he got the memo to be pleasant. Care-- There is a housekeeper that shows up at odd moments, otherwise there is no care. But the housekeeper is pleasant and quick. Activities- The usual old people stuff most of the time: bingo, poker, bean bag baseball, etc. There are exercise classes and outings, but everything happens right after breakfast, so if you are like me (wake after 10, move slowly getting ready) none of those are accessible. Also, the outings usually require $$. Many of us have very little after the rent. Food-- Since I did a review saying the food is sometimes good, sometimes terrible, we have had an upgrade. Now, we occasionally have things like shrimp salad (which is quite good) and lobster (which is cooked so long that if it's true our military is running out of weapons, fear not! They could shoot pieces of our lobster at the enemy and knock them dead.) For the most part, food is decent flavor wise. Portions are small. They run out of stuff a lot. And if you're 10 minutes late for dinner, prepare to drink water. Cleanliness-- The halls are nice and clean. They tried a robot vacuum, but it would do things like come up to people in chairs and tell them to move. Usually, people moved and griped. I told the robot to bite me. It's gone. Apartment I love my apartment. For mobility devices, the doorways could stand to be 4 inches wider What I love: the full kitchen, easy-access shower, big windows, good sound proofing. What I hate: BAD accounting. Twice, I have received notices to vacate--and after talking to their lawyer, even he had to admit that something wasn't "right" . They lose checks, etc. Also, there is nothing to do if groups aren't your thing. No hot tub to soak away pain. No pool table. Not even Wii.

On boarding was haphazard. But staff seemed to relay care. Parking is temporarily relocated whole they're building a Memory Care facility.

Work orders take a long time to be fullfilled, and often need to be requested a second time by administrators for action to be accomplished.

The tour leader was quite supportive and helpful. The food was great. Difficult to take public transportation to arrive. Pay monthly rent but no large down payment for cando

I feel has everything you could want in a memory care facility. I was very pleased with the staff. They are so courteous and caring. I loved the location and setting. The only thing I could see improving is to have a large activity/ dining area. The whole facility was very clean and orderly. I would highly recommend your place for anyone looking for a memory care. I have looked at least a dozen and you guys came out on top!

Good maintenance, very good director. Good program. The travel program is very good. The Tuesday and Thursday happy hour and music is enjoyable. The singers and servers are delightful. The movie theater is older but has some interesting movies.

[name removed] was great and provided a good experience. The facility decor, however, was not to our liking, seemed a bit dark and not as welcoming. The corridors were also not as bright. Although the facility is fairly new, it felt dated.

The place was great. No complaints at all just that my uncle needed more care and even paying the extra $[removed]he still needed more attention. Moved him to a board and care and he got that attention until he passed away.

The best thing about The Montecito are the casitas. Also the activities are good. Recommended.
