Cogir Senior Living

It has been a great experience with Cogir of Northgate Memory Care. They deliver good quality care at a premium price. I would highly recommend this facility to those looking for memory care.

Everyone has been very kind and professional with the exception of one employee. Our loved one at times complaints they do not like the food and that it is often served cold. they probably need more wait staff. There are a lot of added costs i.e. dispensing meds, if resident is on a pain medication (NorCo), meal delivery, even if resident picks up a bag lunch from dining room themselves and goes to apt. to eat it.

The staff are responsive if a problem arises. [name removed] at the front desk is amazing with a smile and a welcoming greeting as you walk in. He creates relationship with residents and their families. [name removed] , the nurse is responsive when there are concerns and they are addressed in a reasonable timeframe. Most of the care staff are friendly and competent. There has been a lot of turnover with care staff, which is typical in this industry. My Mom feels safe and her needs are met. She has made friends there who are now like family. We are very pleased with Cogir.

After a rough start here, she has settled in pretty well. The consistency of her caregivers helps. Her dementia is advancing and we will be needing to do something different soon. She is on the waiting list for memory care here.

A new management company took over today and they seem to be making some positive changes. The staff is very caring and for the most part we are very happy with the community.

My loved one is doing fine a Cogir but is very worried about the 9-10% increases each year over the past 3-years. She says many resident have to move because of the costs. I would be reluctant to recommend to others.

The dinner and lunch quality could be improved! However, based on the experience we have had we would recommend Ocean Ridge Assisted Living to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

I'd recommend the community. Memory care is hard bc it doesn't have the same bells and whistles as assisted living but they treat her well and care for her daily.

For the meals and dining - prepared well, but often cold, congealed, and missing things like gravy butter on mashed potatoes, and soup as requested. Great people/staff, but quite the environment my dad wants. Yes, we would recommend Cogir of Edmonds for independent and limited assisted-living. What I really really really really liked about Cojir of Edmonds was the friendly caring attitude of everyone. They really made you feel like family.

FYI [date removed] the Atria management is changing to Cogir Senior Living Management. There has been a lot of turn over in the servers/cleaners. I am hopeful this will be addressed by Cogir Senior Living. Based off of the experience so far, I would recommend this facility to others.

I'm a current resident at Cogir on Napa Rd. I have lived here for a little over a year and really enjoy it. I find the services they offer adequate, personal and friendly. I would recommend this community for anyone who is looking for assisted living.

My friend was the actual client, she was at another care facility that had promised her a Medicaid room in 2 years after her spend down was utilized. After 1 year she was told by the other facility that they will not have a Medicaid room available because there are too many people on the waiting list and recommended another facility. She only had 1 year in her savings so she no longer had enough spend down money to find another place. Fortunately, Where the Heart Is took her in. She was there for 6 months and decided to move back East to be closer to her daughter.

Under new ownership and heavily under construction right now. Will be good once completed. Could be better managed. Mom's apartment has been renovated and looks new. She is in a studio and it is a decent size.

I would recommend.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food - I feel like they are doing the best they can with their resources. I've dined with my Mom on several occasions and hear her feedback other times. The food can be good for some meals, yet you never know. Sometimes the eggs or oatmeal are cold. The activities are pleasant and the activities director is very nice. Harvard Park is upgrading their common areas and repaving their parking lot. The staff is making this big change very pleasant for Mom. And the residents are nice.

If a friend lived in the area it would be positive. My mother-in-law is in a community in Vancouver & I'd rate things about the same, but the cost is much lower.

Huge improvement from prior facility. My loved one regained weight lost at the initial place. Staff are very caring and concerned. The facility is clean and pleasant. The only negatives are: 1. Designed to maximize revenue. Care may start at one level, but it will quickly go up. 2. They prefer to have monthly bills paid directly from your bank account. And bills can be difficult to understand until you understand point #1.

Searching for a place where your parent can age with dignity and in a safe nurturing environment takes an abundance of patience and care. I am also in the housing industry and for over 17 years I’ve committed myself to assuring that housing with a strong structure, and supportive services, bonded by a heart beat of compassion for underserved populations is attainable. So here I am searching for a place for my Pop. Using my experience to vet each referra.The process has been challenging but [name removed] at Studio Royale greeted us with grace and compassion and from their the stress began melting away. Everyone we met was pleasant the building was clean and my father even had a chance to sample a meal which he enjoyed. The application was not a daunting task requiring endless amounts of documentation So, from one housing professional to another, [name removed] the work you do does matter but how you perform the task matters more and you are a shining light. ??

Upon moving in we found the main item we had discussed that needed to be done for my mother. And was assured they could table care of was really not going to be taken care of. She has a stoma and a colonoscopy bag. We were told they could take care of it. In reality. They could only change the bag but not the base that was attached to her skin. It needed to be changed 2 times a week. We had to set up a separate home health care company to have this service taken care of. It would have been nice to have them be upfront with us so that it was taken care of before my parents moved in.

Keeping my mom safe and taken care of is my priority. I would rate five stars but they seem to have a hard time with staff turnover. But that seems to be the industry. The communication is great which is important to me. No one wants to have a parent in memory care but I’m thankful for The Terrace during this difficult time.
