I would tell them that it's the least expensive place out there and my mom has no complaints about it. Except that the closet's too small!

My mother is not there anymore. She was only there a couple months. She improved so we decided to start keeping her at our homes again. I would highly recommend Cadence to anyone. However, it can be cost prohibitive due to the pricing for those with limited budgets.

[name removed] and the entire staff at Emerald Pond genuinely care about the residents. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a community for their parents. My Mom likes it there.

I would recommend it. Mom has met a small group of friends that she enjoys.

They did a major overhaul/ remodel about 7 months in , it took 3 months to complete which was a big inconvenience and confusing for mom at times with so much construction. Overall the project is an outstanding improvement of the facility. Would give a 5 but the yearly increase caught me off guard additional $200 .The food is a hit and miss most days..

I’ve had my father living here for several months and they have been caring towards him. As far as memory care facilities go I would recommend them. The food has looked fairly good but my dad sometimes complains the portions aren’t big enough but he also doesn’t ask for more so that’s kinda on him.

Present staff is very good and improving. They are competent, friendly, and extremely supportive of the residents. The facility is about 50 year old with occasional plumbing and elevator problems but is in the process of being updated. The residents are a great mix of professions and skills and are very friendly and welcoming. In short, I am very happy I am here.

Friendship among residents and looking out for reach other is the main plus. Hourly workers are very caring and look after our needs. We would like to see more communication between staff concerning changes to rules and new ideas etc

Based on our loved ones previous experience with another community we can say that the activities and food here at Acoya Shea are better and the workers here are really nice. We would recommend this community to other families.

My Dad, [name removed] , enjoys living here. He has made friends and they coordinate alot of activities for senior citizens to participate in. The staff are friendly, helpful and know everyone's names. They have a puzzle room that Dad loves. He also likes sitting on the back patio to listen to the birds and enjoy the flowers. They provide a wide variety of food in the restaurant for guests and my Dad likes everything except the fish. His apartment is very spacious compared to other aces he has lived.

Mom is happy there. It's beautiful. And we're grateful she is safe and happy. I haven't noticed any issues with that. Mom might say differently. No problems. Most are nice. Food staff and Assisted living staff are way overworked/understaffed and aren't able to provide timely care that they would like to. Quality of care- hard to say. Assisted Living was a mixed bag. Mom says there is high turnover in staff, so it can be hard to know to whom to speak. I hoped that I would have contacts there that I could check in with about her wellbeing, but haven't found that to be the case. Food is not good. Mom says they run out or often don't give what was ordered. Love the yoga class. Those running activities are exceedingly kind and helpful. For [fee removed]/month, given that she often doesn't eat breakfast and lunch, we think it's quite high priced. We realize it's the going rate. There are so many lovely things about it, but the areas where they are falling short truly have an impact.

Great value. Overall doing a great job, recent renovations with new look. I would recommend and if in a situation looking myself for Independent Living, I would live there.

I am not at The Gardens anymore. I moved closer to my daughter. As far as the facility goes - it was fine. I had another stroke and my memory is worse. My daughter helps me remember meds and appointments and drives me there or there is a bus. I would go back, but the rent is too much. I highly recommend and already have to people.

The staff here are amazing have been from day 1. ?? The facility is okay. There's need for imo for more work on the landscape. There's a corner lot here that it's not being taken cared of at all. It's a shame because with some TLC it can be a beautiful place to sit outside in nature. The food here is a hit and miss. Sometimes it's really good food I can honestly end of the times the last couple of times I've been downstairs it's been really bad. They can try to bring the food out hot a lot of times it's cold. It is not just me but the others have complained sending it back to placed in a microwave. My food was really cold last night. It's good food and they try to be healthy with just fantastic but I don't know how to explain this it's a hit and miss for me. Like my tuna sandwich was dry the lettuce was wilted the other day. We finally have a new activities director and to give her credit she has added some different things here for us to do. When I first moved in the activities director that was here left, so there was really nothing for us to do. a lot of the residents were doing their own thing like keeping things going with bingo. I got to save the Jenga fun to play.

The overall experience has been good, but the cleanliness could be better according to my loved one. She does get along with the staff there. My loved one does not really care for most of the food, but she does enjoy doing the activities. The overall value for cost is good.
