They recently changed management, got rid of the senior staff, and it looks like they are cheapening things up. They are also going to hike the rates for residents. After my mom's lease is up, we may have to look elsewhere.

This has been a very welcoming community for our family. Everyone is friendly and helpful is supporting this transition.

They always have activities and things to do.

Had it not been for one specific person who was disrespectful and unkind to me, it would have definitely been a 5. It's sad that one person can have such an impact when it's a negative one. There were so many other people at Cadence who were great. They took very good care of my mom until she died on [date removed]. The facility was kept very clean, staff were well-trained and caring, and the food was great. With the exception of the one person I mentioned, the management staff members were fantastic - professional, knowledgeable, available, helpful, responsive and caring.

I'm happy with the place. I think my father is too. He's an assisted living with level one assistance so it cost a little bit more, but that means they shower him and then leave him pretty much on his own. He is difficult and kind of needy, but they seem to meet his needs to his satisfaction and ours. He seems to like the food and there's plenty of activities but he doesn't always participate. That's the way he is. The staff is very responsive when he has problems with his TV, which is usually him not being able to figure out the remote. He said the housekeeping is excellent. So I would give the facility and the staff a high rating. I am a little disappointed in the administrative staff, they don't do very well returning calls if you have a question about billing.

Mom loves that each month, the chef meets with any residents who have input on the menu. They also have a monthly manager's meeting plus a monthly activity director's meeting. There are field trips once a week. To places like Japanese Garden, Tulip Festival, McMinnville Air & Space Museum, Portland Art Museum, Canon Beach, etc. Very fun. Nice, quiet neighborhood, but also very close to grocery stores and restaurants, banks, and the brand new library, which opens this Sept. Pets are welcome

Management often doesn't follow through on requests. Activities are good. Maintenance is good. Food is ok. Overall the community is nice and very affordable but could improve responsiveness and food choices.

Friendliness and activities are highlights. Yes, we would recommend Harvard Square to other families based on the experience so far.

The only thing that seems to be going on is that they can't seem to find a full time receptionist. The turnover rate has been high.

I would say that it’s a great facility that is dealing with a few growing pains due to it being brand new. The level of care is excellent. The food at the “restaurant” is excellent, and the staff is extremely knowledgable and always willing to help.

The director is terrific. [name removed] has a heart and is committed to the residents and their well being. Housekeeping and maintenance is the minus .5. She's on it and it's a work in progress. Dining is great. Activities are struggling without an activity director but they are doing about a 4 in that area. Overall this is a GREAT facility. [name removed] the main nurse is fantastic too

I've been very happy with my mother's stay in the memory care facility. The staff seem to be kind and helpful and keep m posted regarding her condition. She seems happy there. Below I'm just making an educated guess regarding my ratings since I'm out of state so have no been to the memory care facility personally. I've only been to the assisted living facility. My four star rating was the assisted living facilty.

Mom and dad both loved the place. We visited before it changed hands. Mom needed assisted care so it didn't work for them. We were also told by people who lived there the food wasn't great. We would probably rate it a "4". If Kristi is still there- she was great!

All the staff are great. Just had a few misunderstandings. I very rarely give someone or something the top rating .

If there are any dietary restrictions they don't accommodate. It is a very nice community, but if you have dietary concerns no.

The facilities, staff, and living quarters were very adequate. The food was not very good quality, it tasted very processed. For this reason I only have 4 stars.

There have been some things to get used to but overall the care is good. [name removed] is one of the highest functioning guests there and he is helpful to others. The staff is quite friendly and helpful.

There is a variety of food choices and a variety of activities. Musicians come most every week to entertain. Staff is caring.

We might be interested in moving my mom to another place in the area. She's in independent living now but next month she will need to go into assisted living and care. We may stay however we would like to check out all her options. Hopefully you can provide some suggestions. She's loves being at COGIR but the cost of their assistance is a bit higher than her budget. Thanks for any help you can provide.

A very friendly and accommodating staff. I have been here since June, and have never been in a Senior living facility before, so I can't compare to any others. Given the big adjustment to this type of living, overall my experience has been good.
