My dad has been at Avamere for about 7 years, the last five or so, on the Assisted Living side. The staff does a great job of keeping the residents safe and needs met. Quite challenging for us with Covid, but we all do our best and Dad tells us they take good care of him, e.g. meds, insulin, minor injuries and laundry. We have so appreciated the facility getting in iPad to zoom with Dad!!

My brother [name removed] recently moved into the independent living section of the facility. starting with the move, orchestrated by [name removed], we are very impressed with the professionalism and going the extra mile during our move. We realized during this time of the panda make your staff is under tremendous challenge and are required to carry out many duties there are not required to do. Many of your staff have been courteous and yet trying to keep everyone safe at the same time. We really appreciate their positive attitude and caring of the residents.

At this time with the pandemic, nothing is the same. The only motive intact is keeping the residence safe. It has been a long time since we have been able to have the joy of going to the diner three times a day, enjoy the games, go to the store on the bus, go out to dinner by bus, be social without wearing a mask.

So far: staff is terrific, courteous, very helpful, good rapport. Menus could be targeted more for diabetics and heart healthy. For example, less potatoes and corn per meal or paste and corn. As a diabetic and AF.b person: fruit, veggies, protein and dairy is good for me. Rice, pasta, potatoes overwhelm my systems. You need to evaluate your dietitians menus.

We chose Sunridge because my husband had a parent there briefly and he was happy with the facility. The atmosphere is very bright and cheerful. The apartment sizes here are very nice compared to some others we saw. The best part about this community so far has been the location and the meal service they provide. Overall, we have been very happy with our decision with choosing Sunridge.
