This was a terrible terrible place to put a loved one. My brother-in-law was there for a little over a year and we took him out and reported them to the state and from what I understand the place was fined and something else I don't remember. even the employees said it was a terrible place to work. I would not put my dog there.

1. Not change apt # during lease signing. Number changed to not equivalent. ... 2. Services promised not delivered due to disruption from out of control residents. ... 3. Did not follow generally accepted sanitary guidelines .

What the community could improve on would be the communication with family, the training of their staff. Some of the administrators are just non-professional. Maybe due to turnover. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. In fact, I tell just the opposite.

Office staff needs better training. Even with areas of improvement we would not recommend the community to others.

Awful communications when trying to find answers to simple questions. Who knows who is in charge, no one accepts responsibility, and they hide behind robotic answering systems so they do not have to actually speak to people and address problem issues. It's always the "residents fault". Count yourself lucky if you find a live person with authority, or the facility admits their mistake, or the facility actually follows through and corrects an issue. Do NOT trust them with accurate medication delivery. One wonders what happens to those poor residents who don't have an independent advocate.

This facility claims to be a memory care facility yet they falsely advertise as a memory care facility as my mom and several others were kicked out because they could not handle them yet my mom went to another facility, [community removed] and it is the same type of facility yet they have no issues there with her as they show more compassion and care. Elk Creek I would never ever recommend them as they actually should reimburse me everything I paid. That's how bad it was there. The facility is a big joke and the staff is not trained to handle memory care patients.

I have a family member that lives there and he was without AC for 2 1/2 months. They brought in portable water coolers. Not what he pays for. They have so many layers of approval that it took that long to get AC fixed. Unacceptable! The food is average. All the meals I've had there were just ok. Didn't think to ask the question about kitchen on site. It's cooked in another building and brought over. All taste warmed up. Supposed to have a resident show new residents around and encourage them to take part in activities and meet people. That didn't happen. The friendliest person worked the food line and loved his smile and encouragement but understand he has now left. The apartments are large and we loved all the space when touring. We had great hopes but so far I'm unimpressed.

Most of staff is friendly. Food is so so. Our major problem is that my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer a month or so after moving in and went on Hospice. She has only weeks to live. She was prescribed end of life pain medications by the hospice doctor for comfort however, the nursing supervisor is attempting to keep her from getting those medication's. He is demanding med techs jump through hoops before allowing meds to be given.

They are the worst of the worst! If you care about your loved one in their life, and never send them there! The cleanliness, friendliness, staff and meals and dining is deceiving. The quality of care is atrocious. The activities sound good, though few residents actually get to enjoy. no amount of money equals your loved one, and they were ALL about money and nothing about care...read the fine print

1) no one there to meet her first day. Totally unprepared. No key ready 2) The key that was given did not work and had to request new 2x 3) TV cable not working, took 3 days 4) reports of theft .. most residents warn others about staff that steal. Even the staff warned my mom. Ashame that both Ex Dir and Asst denied it stating one resident woman always complain of stealing and blew it off. My mom said after a movie outing a resident had her purse stolen and nothing was done. Also there were lazy staff members. [name removed] is nice and saved mom a lunch one day because she missed it and the lazy staff member wouldn’t bring it. 5) after 4 days I took my mom out day 5 On the final day the med tech tried to give her too many pills. Fortunately I made my mom her own pill case to check her pills against theirs and they could have overdosed her 6) we still have not received our refund for the days not used on her stay. She was supposed to have respite care for 14 days and left day 5.

I would rate them 1. They didn't care for my mom after they had a huge turnover. I would not recommend them. Clients' families called the state on them many, many times.

Beautiful facility but the staff at the front office is terrible. We had a bad experience and I would never recommend this place for a loved one!!

1 on all levels. Took my brother out after 1 month. Pay back money they overcharged for. Have a activity director that does does something besides dominos. Training n nurses aides. Give out CORRECT medication. Clean laundry room occasionally. Wish I had read one that was truthful before Also did not mention kitchen staff and servers yellow g at each other in front of patients sitting at dining table then waiting An hour for cold food

They pull shady financial stunts. The staff are not helpful or patient with transition for my mom. Non communicative with family.

I pulled my loved one out of there after endless by ups and the hospital. Totally new staff now so cannot t say. Worst experience I've ever had. They need New nurse Aides that give a [profanity removed] and different activities. Don't argue in front of residents. Perhaps to check credentials of nurses aides if they have any training.

They incorrectly evaluated my dad as NOT NEEDING TO USE O2. That was actually my MAIN concern, and the reason I was moving him to Assisted Living. The evaluated him as a level 2. However in order to use oxygen in the facility you have to be level 3. Oops. So they increased my monthly price $[fee removed]. There was a lot of talk and concern and red tape concerning Doctors orders that frankly left me feeling rather uncomfortable. The community fee was $[fee removed]. They charged my card $[fee removed]. Oops. Then I got a letter welcoming a new executive director, apparently they did not have one at the time. They also had a new executive director in [dates removed]. At this point I'm done, and notify them that we would not be moving in. They assured me they understood. TODAY THEY DEDUCTED OVER [fee removed] FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT.The paperwork stated rent was $[fee removed]per month.So far,they will only communicate with me verbally, not in writing. They said they were trying to resolve the issue. If they do,I'll GLADLY EDIT

The friendliness of the staff and the care services depended on the individual caregiver. The agency sent a different caregiver each time a service was delivered and we never got the chance to determine if they were a good match or not. We were never making any progress since we were starting over from the beginning. Communication at times was also inefficient. Everyone tried and means well but it was a frustrating experience for me and not what I was hoping for.

I moved my dad in a few months ago. I was under no illusions that there would be some bumps in the road, but things have gotten worse and I have no idea if they will get better. My father cannot go to the dining room for every meal, so we pay the extra $$$ to have his meals delivered to his room. This means he is the last to receive his meals, they consistently arrive cold, are missing items he ordered, contain items he didn't order, is consistently told the kitchen is out of items from their ala carte menu, such as salmon, hamburger, vegetables, etc. The Grand also relies heavily on temporary nurses and staff from a staffing agency. This causes a huge problem with the administration of medications because they are unfamiliar with the resident's medication requirements. My father has been asked to take over the administration of certain medications because The Grand can't handle it properly. This is well below the level of care we thought my father would receive at The Grand

My mother was in AL and had a bad fall so had to go through that recovery. Before mom left she said they never came and cleaned her room, she always got wrong medication and the cup was left on the counter with another room number written on it. It’s was a constant battle finding her laundry when she would put it out. When she rang her pendant it was always 15 minutes to an hours until they would come to her room nonstop attitude and the workers had foul mouths in front of my mother on told her she don’t need anything else stop pressing the damn pendant. This place is all around a very disgusting work environment and it all starts with the leader ship roles. Mary was honestly the best more sweetest person there and when my mother told me she wasn’t working there no more oh no I definitely chose to make the move this month. If you love your loved ones don’t move them here it is all lies when they do the tour!!!

The staff there do not care. From overnight to day shift the lack of compassion and communication is disrespectful. I’ve heard several different things especially between staff to managers and i regret moving my family in. You can ask 1000000 times for something to be added to their services but it never gets done and puts our loved one in danger. There’s so many communities in round rock PLEASE MOVE THEM TO ANY BUT THIS ONE
