My loved one moved from the independent living area to the assisted living area. I moved my loved one out of the community in roughly 3 weeks after the transition. There were a couple of reasons that made me make this decision. The first one being that I used the buzzer to try and get the attention of the staff, and no one responded. The manager stated that they had pull all the buzzers due to a meeting with the care staff. This upset me so much. The clothes were lost every week, and I had to search them each week. I feel the care manager was be running over.by the staff, as she seemed to be inexperienced. The Hamptons didn't seem to have a lot of activities. The Director of the community seemed to be new and looked like a deer in the headlights when I approached her about concerns.

Dining room continues to be a source of disruption. Lack of serving staff. Diabetic woman was not served timely and caused her blood sugar to crash. Working on fourth chef. Due to dispute in salary, new chef simply did not show up on first day. Civitas has now raised prices on meals. Dead trees and shrubs abound on the campus. Depressing.

Expensive for what you get. They had a chef when my mom signed up, then he was gone in two weeks, we hear due to low pay. Food has gone downhill. Management all left due to overwork and low pay. Very understaffed now. They were way too slow and it required way too much demanding to fix serious construction problems, flooding, sewer overflows, showers that leaked on the floor. We've ALL communicated extensively with corporate to no avail. They talk a lot and not enough action. Corporate greed, trying to cheap out on the expenses and wages, and still LOOK like a high-end place. A whole group is planning to move out.

We moved my mom in there when they had a chef that made delicious nutritious food, but he soon left (word is underpaid), then they replaced him with mediocre cooks they're insisting on calling chefs, and the food went downhill. The management all left en masse due to overwork and underpay, and the remaining staff is super sparse, and still underpaid but really caring. They won't last is they find other jobs. Legacy didn't quickly enough fix some serious construction deficiencies, and toilets overflowed, apartments and common areas flooded in the rain, and showers ran onto the floors. We've all communicated with corporate till we're blue in the face, but we've mostly gotten lots of excuses and too little action. It' seems they're trying to run it on the cheap and still be seen as high end luxury, as the building does look high end. The only ones not complaining are memory care, and they can't complain! Corporate greed at its finest. Residents are getting fed up and threatening to move out, but geez it's expensive to move! We're giving them another month to get it together. We'll see.

My father is a pending resident on the wait list & has completed his new resident package so we are close to getting him moved in. When he calls to get an update he is told I’ll have [name removed] call you back & that does not happen 90% of the time, he even asked to speak to the director which he was transferred too & she told him she would look into the situation & call him back within an hour.....no call. Do you all realize how bad this is for your public relations? What is the care level I should expect for my father if you cannot simply return his calls? We are very excited for this next chapter in my Dad’s life but I’m concerned.

It's new and clean. Assisted Living building staff are nice and work hard but there's a shortage of trained staff and a high turn over rate. Food is mediocre to fair. Their nurse left or was let go after 2 months of bad performance and covering up mistakes. Services we paid for were not rendered. I had to remind the manager, nurse and caregivers of weekly/daily services and I had to coordinate them. I had to take out trash, bathe my loved one and change the sheets myself on several occasions. Activities are entertaining but very basic and minimal. There's no weight-bearing exercise to maintain muscle mass or led walks for cardiovascular health, only sitting in chairs and lifting their arms and legs. It's very [Removed] oriented, which may be nice for some people but makes other people feel uncomfortable because they're not supposed to impose religious practices. This is not disclosed in brochures either.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff was very caring and able to answer the questions we had. This community is clean and the menu is appealing. We did like that they offer activities for the residents that want to participate. We would recommend that family tour this community for the option of care for a loved one.

This facility if severely understaffed. Calls for assistance sometimes take as long as two hours. There is no one available for help during dining hours because all of the people working are called to the dining room. Food is often cold. The carpet is damaged and filthy. Carpet cleaning occurs only when expected visits from company people. Shortage of silverware and basic needs for meals. Cold showers have been frequent over the past few months because of badly needed repairs to the boiler.

I would not recommend Ledgestone. They had some major issues and we shifted my father to another facility. They had the state of Texas come down on them because there were many violations, poor treatment of the elderly and the vast majority of the staff was fired. They weren't equipped to handle people well and staff were lazy and not qualified.

Moving my father to Ridglea was one of the most difficult decisions I've made, and unfortunately it became a deeply disappointing experience. I relocated my dad from the hometown he had lived in for more than 50 years so he could be closer to family and have more opportunities for interaction and support. During the sales process, [Name Removed] assured me that resident safety and quality care were top priorities. Based on those assurances, I felt confident in choosing Ridglea. I quickly learned that reality did not match what was promised. My father had been living in assisted living prior to his move and had effectively aged in place there. Looking back, he likely would have qualified for memory care at most communities. I repeatedly communicated concerns about his cognitive limitations, including the fact that he would not understand how or when to use an emergency pendant or pull cord. Despite this, I do not believe he was adequately assessed before move-in and was placed in assisted living rather than the level of care he actually needed. One of the biggest concerns was the lack of monitoring. I was told staff would check on him every two hours, but his door was often kept closed and those wellness checks did not appear to happen consistently. Because he moved slowly, staff stopped taking him to meals and instead delivered food to his room until I complained. As a result, he spent long periods isolated in his room. His physical condition declined rapidly. Before arriving, he could get himself out of a chair without assistance and walk reasonable distances with his walker. After spending so much time alone in his room, he became weaker and less mobile. He developed a urinary tract infection and bed sores and became increasingly lonely and depressed. His decline led to multiple falls. In a single month, he fell four times—the same number of falls he had experienced during the entire previous year. The first fall left him on the floor for approximately four hours before he was found. When I addressed the issue with the head nurse, who often seemed unaware of what was happening with his care, I was assured that rounding would improve. Four days later, he fell again and remained on the floor for approximately eight hours, suffering a busted lip and scrapes to his knee and hand. I then escalated my concerns to the executive director, [Name removed]. While I received promises that things would improve, I never saw meaningful changes. I use a Jubilee TV device that allows me to check in remotely, and one day I overheard an interaction that was particularly upsetting. A caregiver was assisting my father in the restroom near lunchtime. He was struggling to urinate and needed additional time. The caregiver became frustrated and told him to simply use his briefs because "that's what they're for." I then heard my father beg her not to leave him, but she left anyway. No family member should have to hear that. When staff suspected a UTI, I chose to take him to the emergency room myself rather than have him transported alone by ambulance. The ER physicians confirmed the infection and started treatment. They also advised that he would be better served in a memory care setting. At that point, I realized Ridglea was not equipped to meet his needs. Ridglea offered memory care, but only in a shared room arrangement. By then, the trust had already been broken. I chose to move my father elsewhere, and it was one of the best decisions I have made. Within days of moving to [Name Removed], he adjusted remarkably well. He now lives in a larger apartment for less than Ridglea would have charged for a shared memory care room. More importantly, he is thriving. The staff clearly care about the residents, and it shows in their daily interactions. While no community is perfect, he is regaining strength, participating in activities, and no longer living in isolation. The difference in care has been dramatic. At Ridglea, my visits were spent helping him get out of bed, assisting him to the bathroom, cleaning his room, tracking down laundry, and asking when sheets would be changed. At his current community, I get to spend time with him as his daughter rather than his caregiver. Staff are available when he needs assistance. His room is clean, his bed is made daily, he receives regular showers, his clothes are changed and laundered consistently, and his belongings are organized. During his month at Ridglea, I believe he received only four showers and often wore the same clothes for several days. Clean and dirty laundry was frequently mixed together, making it difficult to tell what had been washed. I do not believe the frontline caregivers at Ridglea are uncaring. In fact, many seemed to genuinely care about the residents. My concern is that they appeared unsupported by leadership and overwhelmed by workload. There seemed to be little structure, accountability, or oversight. Staff often lacked the time to properly engage residents, encourage participation in activities, escort them to meals, or perform routine wellness checks. Repeated failures to monitor my father had no visible consequences, and his calls for help frequently went unanswered. For families considering Ridglea, my recommendation is to place a loved one there only if they are fully capable of advocating for themselves. Residents who are shy, cognitively impaired, or unable to speak up may not receive the attention and support they need. My father's experience was heartbreaking, and I would not want another family to go through what we did.

My father lived here for 5 months until we moved him to another nearby facility in the area. In a short time while he lived there he experienced a lack of medical care, increasingly poor food quality and evident staffing shortages and high turnover. He witnessed a woman partially not clothed, that fell down, couldn't move or speak in the hallway and was laying there for some time getting cold and distressed. As far as contacting Valley View I had a terrible time getting anyone to ever return any of my calls or emails, we also had great deal of trouble getting a refund for Valley View for his unused monthly fees. It took several months and we did ultimately have to reach out to the local Ombudsman to get help. I can't recommend strongly enough to look elsewhere for your loved one's care.

This was a terrible terrible place to put a loved one. My brother-in-law was there for a little over a year and we took him out and reported them to the state and from what I understand the place was fined and something else I don't remember. even the employees said it was a terrible place to work. I would not put my dog there.
1. Not change apt # during lease signing. Number changed to not equivalent. ... 2. Services promised not delivered due to disruption from out of control residents. ... 3. Did not follow generally accepted sanitary guidelines .
What the community could improve on would be the communication with family, the training of their staff. Some of the administrators are just non-professional. Maybe due to turnover. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. In fact, I tell just the opposite.

Awful communications when trying to find answers to simple questions. Who knows who is in charge, no one accepts responsibility, and they hide behind robotic answering systems so they do not have to actually speak to people and address problem issues. It's always the "residents fault". Count yourself lucky if you find a live person with authority, or the facility admits their mistake, or the facility actually follows through and corrects an issue. Do NOT trust them with accurate medication delivery. One wonders what happens to those poor residents who don't have an independent advocate.
