Quality of the food has been disappointing, it is not what it was when we first toured and ate at the facility 2 years ago. Food is heavy on pasta, rice, and potatoes. More protein is needed. I've actually been very pleased with the staff. All have been very helpful.

Very nice place and was favorably impressed. But my visit lasted 2 1/2 hours, and could have covered everything by in half that time.

The care staff are incredible and the facility is very clean. We had a few issues with being able to control her room temperature after Mom moved in but it was resolved after some maintenance staff changes. The activities are great and the food has been good. Mom is actually gaining weight! This has by far been the best change for my Mom! The facility really is a blessing!

My parents have lived there since January. It feels like an apartment complex instead of a nursing home. We like that it has independent living, assisted living, and memory care in the same complex. Wonderful, kind staff. Residents also seem happy to be there. Smiling, say hello, etc.

[name removed] was great at explaining the process. As we were touring the facility for both Memory Care and Assisted living all the staff welcomed us. This is such a hard decision to make for our loved ones and we appreciate all time [name removed] took with us.

Generally very helpful, but if we’re polite and take the time to learn their names we usually end up making friends and getting along a lot better with staff. It really makes a difference. The apartments are pretty adequate. They’ve got counters in the kitchenette, a hall closet, a living room, a modest bedroom, and a pretty big closet in the bedroom for storage. The bathroom is also large, with a shower, sink, plenty of grab bars, and some extra storage space. Overall, The Ridglea takes good care of my wife and I!

Everyone one-has been very helpful helping my sister. She's being taken care of very good. I would recommend them to anyone. It's been just what we needed for my sister.

Small community that had the same amenities as the larger facilities. , I would highly recommend

[name removed] was very aknowledgenable and very friendly. She went out of her way to explain and show us what we needed to know. On Thursday I decided to move in. The movers come on Monday to pack, and the truck is moving us Tuesday!

It is a beautiful, clean, well-equipped facility. My initial contact was [Name Removed], and she was great. I believe she was the marketing director. When I decided to place my husband there, she was on a short vacation but still called me to explain what I needed to do. She helped me secure a small room for him since we were unsure what would happen. In her absence, a new team member assisted me. He was young and not very knowledgeable, but he tried and was kind. The head administrator seemed overwhelmed, and as I understand, she is no longer there. The main issue, like many senior living facilities, is staffing. The kitchen staff and the woman who ran the dining room were outstanding. She knew residents by name and was very kind to them, including my husband and me. The setup for receiving on-site physical therapy was excellent, and the doctor who visited was very nice—I felt confident in her care. My husband had a call button to request help getting up or going to the dining room, but staff often did not respond. The caregivers were kind, but he was new to this environment and did not like waiting. On his first morning, he went downstairs to the dining room by himself because no one came to assist him—and he had not yet been walking independently. On the third day, he had his third fall, hit his head, and was sent to the hospital. No one called me. When I arrived for my usual visit around 10:00 a.m., I couldn’t find him. I asked an aide, and she told me he had fallen. There was blood on the clothes by his bed. I had hoped for better care, but I believe they were understaffed, and he was new to this type of setting. I would consider living there myself in an apartment if I needed a safe, pleasant place—but only if I were able to get around independently, and possibly still drive.

I enjoyed the tour. The facility is clean and nicely arranged. The resident rooms that I saw are laid out nicely. [Name Removed] answered all of my questions about the staff and provided a packet of information that included a schedule of the activities for the residents. The only additional questions that I had was about the distribution of medicine for residents in assisted living.

Arabella of Longview is a clean community with friendly staff

I am in a newly renovated apartment. It is lovely and convenient. I have enough room and storage. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The people who work with us on a daily basis, activity, drivers, chef, wait staff, rate a 10. Decision makers, 2-3.

The kitchen food has been awful according to mom since the new people took over. 1 of the night med. Ladies screams at the old people. It smells really strong of urine now. Never smelled like that before. Rent went up [removed] more dollars a month and nothing improved. If she didn't have friends there.... I would probably move her.

We love it that mom likes it and feels comfortable there. Communication could be better. There could be more consistency in the overall process of care. Some tasks fall through the cracks at times.

Had an enjoyable experience. We were there for four hours which for my mom was a little long but we ate lunch there and the food was good and we enjoyed seeing other residents. The sales associate was very personable and was very attentive to my mom. Which I really appreciated.

What we like the most about the community is that it is a friendly home with nice people. Sure, I'd recommend the community to other families based on the experience

They are very committed to communication and helping the family as well as the resident. We are adjusting to each other as in all new ventures but it is going well.
