Civitas Senior Living

I've lived at Ledgestone only two weeks so it's too early to go into detail about it. I don't know anything about the Care Services because I am independent. The food is okay but it has to come from another building that has a kitchen. It would be nice if you could get a hamburger if the main entrees did not appeal. The apartments are very nice with washer, dryer, dishwasher, and disposal in each apartment. Maintenance has been willing and able to do minor things without having to wait for days. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are the doctor appointment days and it hasn't been a problem getting into Austin. There are lots of in-house activities and a nice pool. This is the third senior living residence I have lived in, and as of now I think it's the best. I live in a one-bedroom apartment. There are always quirks, and what one person likes, another might not. But this is fine--so far.

Mom is still adjusting to living at Ledgestone. The staff are wonderful. They are personable and we like them. They do offer daily activities and the food is ok. This is a brand new community and they are still working out a few things. She has a nice room with a large closet which is perfect for her. We like that this community offers a pool in the independent living area and it is located close to family. I would recommend this community.

Arabella of Longview Assisted Living & Memory Care- Longview was a very nice community to tour. The people there were all very friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and it was a good experience, but it was not what we were looking for.

We really liked this community when we visited. We were going to choose this community until we found a place that we felt would work better for mom. They were very nice and understanding when we advised them we had found another place. This community is clean and they do offer a variety of activities.

This is an outstanding community and we are happy that the staff is really good to my mom. She is always pleased with the meals that are served. The activities are very helpful and she is happy to be able to participate. The community feels new and we are happy to recommend this community to other families for good care and value for a loved one.

My husband and I have lived here since April 2016 and we LOVE it! Lots for the money! New apartment in various sizes with choices of services. We feel safe, secure and comfortable.

The facility is beautiful. It is always clean and functional. Mom is in a semi-private room in the memory care section. The caregivers are all wonderful. Mom still wants to go home but, she wanted to go home when was in the home she had lived in for the past twenty years. Mom is an introvert and she needs to be encouraged more to join in activities. Overall I am very happy with her placement. I would recommend Cambridge Court to anyone needing memory care.

Midtowne is a great facility. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The facility is very clean and decorated very stylishly. The hallways are wide enough for wheelchairs. The rooms are a good size and they offer nice amenities in the apartments. The nursing staff are attentive and friendly. The meals are good and they serve a variety of options at each meal. Activities are fun. it is nice to have doctors come to the facility for appointments. Great location. Facility participates in local activities with the schools and churches.

We like the place, it's lovely. It's clean, and the staff is friendly, the activity level is fabulous. They enjoy the food, though it isn't always served in a timely manor. They are still a new place, and they are trying to staff up. There have been a few growing pains. There have been medication mix ups. I think they grew faster than they could staff. All in all though it's a good place so far.

I think they do a very good job overall at Midtowne Assisted Living! The staff here is friendly and professional, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here. The facility itself is brand new, and they do a great job keeping things looking clean and well kept. I toured quite a few options in the area while I was looking for senior care, and this place really stood out to me as one of the best!

I placed my mother in Canterbury court assisted living on 22 February and she made a quick adjustment. The room is wonderful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The activities are great for the people and they continue to keep the people active and engaged with each other. Mom danced at a Madagascar party. She hasn't danced in years! This was a joy to see. I can find nothing so far that we are unhappy about. This has been wonderful for us and we were assisted by a home for mom. I can only hope others can find such a good fit for there loved ones.

My father really likes it there. Facility is only about a year and half old. This is an assisted living facility but not a skilled nursing place. He gets around ok so it works out fine. The staff seems to really care about everyone there and are super friendly. They make sure that he comes down for every meal and if not, they go and check on him. It was fairly comparable in price with others in the area, but they don't charge extra to do his laundry and some things that other places would charge more for. I also found out that there is a non-refundable community fee just to get in. I found $2500. and also $2250. on some, but this facility was $1500. That being said they gave a break to my father because he is a veteran :-) only $750. My father unfortunately has cancer and is no longer being treated, so one thing that I also found out along the way is that you can get hospice set up ahead of time and they can take over the medical aspect (upon insurance approval). The facility and the hospice service/facility work together to make sure his health is monitored. When he lost balance and hit his head they let me know and between the two they took care of everything. Less stress on me and it wasn't me with him at the ER for once!

I've only visited a few times myself, but my Dad seems to like it here. It is a nice looking, clean community, and the staff all seem very friendly. It's "affordable" as far as assisted living costs go. Dad has also had good things to say about the food.

I enjoyed the tour. The facility is clean and nicely arranged. The resident rooms that I saw are laid out nicely. [Name Removed] answered all of my questions about the staff and provided a packet of information that included a schedule of the activities for the residents. The only additional questions that I had was about the distribution of medicine for residents in assisted living.

Arabella of Longview is a clean community with friendly staff

I am in a newly renovated apartment. It is lovely and convenient. I have enough room and storage. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The people who work with us on a daily basis, activity, drivers, chef, wait staff, rate a 10. Decision makers, 2-3.

The kitchen food has been awful according to mom since the new people took over. 1 of the night med. Ladies screams at the old people. It smells really strong of urine now. Never smelled like that before. Rent went up [removed] more dollars a month and nothing improved. If she didn't have friends there.... I would probably move her.

We love it that mom likes it and feels comfortable there. Communication could be better. There could be more consistency in the overall process of care. Some tasks fall through the cracks at times.

Had an enjoyable experience. We were there for four hours which for my mom was a little long but we ate lunch there and the food was good and we enjoyed seeing other residents. The sales associate was very personable and was very attentive to my mom. Which I really appreciated.

What we like the most about the community is that it is a friendly home with nice people. Sure, I'd recommend the community to other families based on the experience
