Ciel Senior Living

I'm not happy with the fact they seem to be short staffed. They are allowing visitors for residents to see family. I am having to clean my loved one's room, and this is something the staff should be doing. What is the assisted living for this community, I keep asking myself. My loved one doesn't enjoy the food. The people at the front desk are wonderful. The staff communication with the family is horrible! They have an activities schedule for the residents to choose from.

We chose HarborChase because it was close to family and they had a good sales pitch, but some things promised did not occur. Mostly with the activities, we were promised non stop activities and they have basically stopped all of those and there were not many to begin with. When extra care was needed, they did step up so we did appreciate that. I would recommend them but also check others out as well.

This was more formal and more expensive than we liked.

We have not been able to visit the community in a long time due to covid, but we were able to set up our loved ones room while we were there and the rooms at the community are pretty good sized.

This community is quite clean, they do a good job keeping everything clean. I have been here for awhile and i do some things on own. Due to COVID there are not many activities at the moment, but in the past they had fair ones.

Liked the walk out from the 2BR, liked that there is a tub. The kitchen looked small, but at least a full kitchen. Wished the tour included more of the common areas, the outdoor spaces; I need to follow up.

This was nice, but I did not get a cozy vibe.

While it was a pretty nice facility, it didn't have a warm, welcoming feel to it. Staff didn't greet residents byname. residents who we saw seemed less functional than other facilities. Had good programs that were clearly defined.

I was not bowled over. It's a nice place, good facilities, what seem to be good and comprehensive services like housekeeping and laundry, but some of the add-on services like "level 3: service is an extra $750 per month, over the $8000 *expensive) for the memory care studio. The say they use a Montessori=based system, and I don't know what that means or implies. We would also be responsible for buying all the supplies, pads, diapers, etc that Linda would need *(I thought the facility provided these, but apparently not.)

Nice place. They seemed to have the option for move someone into nursing, but my Aunt [Removed] felt it wasn't very clean. Didn't find out about pharmaceutical on the site.

I thought the staff where very friendly to me during my tour I had taken of this community and made sure to answer any questions I had for them. It was just way to big of a property and I thought it was very crowded. The city is located in was also not my favorite. Its a very small cramped town. In the end decision I just decided it was not for me and I wanted something a little smaller and not so busy.

I would advise if you have a loved one at this facility that you insist on weekly care conferences! Rehab was not started for 2 weeks. We experienced several incidents where doctors orders were not being followed even with written care instructions. When this was brought to directors attentions they would agree that these things should be being done but there was never follow through. Doctor's written orders were lost twice, (at least that was the excuse) a physical prescription was lost as well. We finally brought in a Senior Advocate and she was appalled at what had transpired. My mother went into rehab for a broken ankle & came out completely incontinent & unable to walk where she previously had been using a walker & was in control of her bodily functions. So watch closely, don't be afraid to question care & be the PITA family member if need be.

We toured this community for care. We were not happy that the community was clean. The residents did not seem happy. We did not like that the staff do not work with the residents or try and keep them active. We would not be able to recommend this community to other families for the care of a loved one.

I like Brookdale – people are friendly.

I have lived here for many which also included my husband. Each time there is a new management (like Brookdale) the emphasis is money – and not the residents to be happy - many activities, have disappeared; (ie the Botanic garden community here. The current CEO is invisible – seldom seen. Key people have left or been let go. The rental for my car increased each year within the garage not totally enclosed. (No better assistance each year. I have been falsely accused and never apologized to.

Since my wife moved into Brookdale, we are slowly adjusting to all of the changes. The staff and caregivers have been taking pretty good care of her. I think the management at that facility has been going through a lot of changes since we moved in. There have been some improvements, but they still have ways to go. The facility, for the most part, is okay on cleanliness, but the AC vents in the dining room are very filthy and need to be cleaned.

My tour of this community was a good one. Everyone was very kind. The community looked nice. The experience was a good one. The location of the community wasn't convenient for my family to travel too, but my tour went well.

This community seemed to have an odor of a nursing home when we visited. This would not work for my parents. The people we met were nice. This community was a little pricer than the community we chose.

We did not like the Village at Lowry because it was dark and confusing. The place is shaped like an X and by the time we made it out of there we were so confused. It was not going to be a good fit for my father so we chose to go with another community.

My tour of this community went well. The residents were very cheerful and welcoming. The community looked nice, everything looked nice and clean. My tour guide was kind and knowledgeable. All my questions were answered, Budget was a one of the main factors when considering where I was going to move to. This community was a little expensive for my budget, but it is a nice place.
