I'm impressed with everyone here, the residents and staff are really friendly. I'm not able to see clearly but I do like to participate in all the games and events. The only thing I'm not happy about is the rent increase, but I understand everything goes up.

The nurses were good. They were really understaffed and did not give the attention that was needed. Their management is terrible, they dont communicate. They make promises for level of care and do not follow through. I am super dissatisfied, and would not recommend to anyone.

It's not too warm and welcoming. My loved one does not like the food. They have a few activites. They have a full staff, which is good. Special kudos to the executive director, and the nursing staff. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

We were told they handle hospice and end-of-life. Then told once she's released from the hospital they would not take her back causing more stress on our mom and family members. Their practices seem inconsistent and not clear.

The staff were generally friendly, and seemed to be caring towards the residents. It seemed the program activities didn't seem to be the best. My loved one wasn't engaged in the activities, and was hanging out in different areas of the community. I never heard about my loved one participating in activities. I'm not sure if the staff were lacking to be able to provide the activities and engage the residents in the activities provided.

We have had some really good things at this community and some really bad with them also. I feel like my dad one is being taken care of adequately. They have activities like an ice cream social, a dance, and more for them to socialize and stay active in the community. I have not had any experience with any other communities so I dont have anything to really compare it to.

The people are great from everyone we have met and dealt with so far. However they seem to have trouble getting people to work there so the meal service is delivered in boxes all the time. They have a beautiful dining room but they are not able to use it right now due to the lack of staff. So that is highly disappointing in that aspect and it is depriving them of that social experience.

I felt like the community was too strict. Just not what I was looking for for my loved one. I needed a more open community for my loved one.

This was an older community with dark features and not the right fit for my loved one.

I would come and live here so I would have some friends. The food seems to be more cafeteria food like. Most of it is fresh, I don't like the taste of it as much. The quantity and timeliness of delivery of the food is good. The activities are geared towards an older generation. Their yoga is chair yoga. The residents here are very well educated, and friendly. There is nice décor and lot of updated rooms ready to rent.

The facility was very nice. However, I didn’t like a couple of things about it. 1) The different sections (independent living, assisted living, memory care) were very closed off, almost like a firewall between them due to Covid. And that made each section feel too small. 2) When they were showing us around the facility, one of the residents was very confused and stopped our tour guide to ask for help with directions. And the woman showing us around was very dismissive to the resident, which was a a red flag. She was more interested in selling us than in helping the existing residents.

This is a new facility, opening late summer of 2021. We decided on Harbor Chase based on the overall plan for care and resident engagement and the impressive layout of the facility itself. Not to mention, we really got a good vibe from the staff we met as well, especially the head nurse. The promise was never fulfilled. After moving my father in, it did not take long to realize that something was amiss. They were only at about 30% resident capacity, yet the existing staff was clearly overwhelmed. The engagement activities were sparse at best, my father’s room never appeared to have been cleaned and I witnessed memory care residents left to their own devices for very long periods of time without being checked on. Within a week of our move in date, the director of the Memory Care unit quit. Not long after that, the head nurse also quit as well as two of the aids that were at least trying to keep up. Ultimately, the level of care was sub-par.

Our family had a virtual tour with Fieldstone and it was nice, but there is a movie theater inside for residents to go through and even though some people might enjoy that we just did not think that was going to work with our loved one especially due to her health state.

This had a nursing home feel, but was a nice community.

Our family was able to have an in person tour, and it was okay there were still a lot of restrictions so we did not get to see everything they had to offer.

Our initial experience was not so good, but we have gotten things figured out since then. When we were having issues the supervisor replied right away and action was taken. So far the care here has been ok and he seems happy and well taken care of whenever I go to see him. They do have a nice activities program on a daily basis for residents. Right now they are still shut down so we are not able to visit much inside of their rooms and we have had a couple of issues with laundry. Overall I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking.

We toured HarborChase of Plainfield and the staff were friendly, but it had a very depressing and dreary atmosphere. It did not seem anywhere near as nice as some others we looked at.
