Most aspects very good , better on first shift than off shifts. No maintenance on the weekends can be an issue.

After touring several assisted living facilities in the Naperville/Plainfield areas, Harbor Chase of Plainfield felt like the right place for my mother. The apartments were very spacious compared to the competition and the prices were comparable. My mother has been living there a little over 3 weeks and seems happy. The administrative side on the other hand is not well run. The Director of Sales was new and misquoted service level pricing, made multiple pricing mistakes on the paperwork, sent incomplete paperwork to our lawyer for review, and gave misinformation several times on how the medication management options worked. When I came to pick up the keys which were supposed to be at the front desk they weren't available. When I mentioned to the Executive Director that the Director of Sales made several mistakes all she said was that she was new. The Executive Director is relatively new also. She didn't even ask for input. I've worked in sales and marketing for 14 years and consider this unprofessional for senior management. In addition, a nurse tried to give my mother the wrong medication at the dinner table. They also have been giving her magnesium daily that came from the nursing home but didn't show it should be given in their notes. The notes from the NP show that my mother should be weighed weekly and should see the dietician. She was just weighed for the first time since arriving last week and has not seen the dietician. Today my mother complained that they haven't emptied her bathroom garbage can for days. This isn't even all the little oversights that have occurred. I overheard another family member complaining about a medication dispensing error to a nurse.

I liked this tour but could see they were dealing with a staff and management turnover. It is a private pay community. They don't accept medicaid. It was nice and clean. It just wasn't a right fit for my parents.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my mother and I was pleased with the presentation that we had received. The staff where kind and where patient with all of our questions. They had a spacious dinning room as well common area spaces. I thought they had a nice floor plan and a lot of great amenities for the residents it was just not the right fit in the end decision for her.

Things are working out well for my father here at Brookdale Olney. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive and I feel my dad is safe in the memory unit. My dad did have some issues when he first moved in and they are being addressed for the most part. They have plenty of activities for the residents to choose. My dad likes going to the dining area and said the food is okay. I like the fact that they do have a resident doctor who sees my dad and monitors his meds. I would recommend Brookdale Olney to family and friends.

When I toured Brookdale Meridian, I thought that it was old and kind of smelly. It was in need of some updating. It was not going to be a good fit for my father.

So far it has been going good for my brother here. On our tours he liked this place better. It was in a good location that he wanted. He likes the meals they prepare for the residents. They have activities for the people but he has not yet tried anything.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and explained everything. I really liked the community it was nice and clean. As soon as you walked through the gates into the community it was a beautiful site. One thing that i didn't like was the extra fees for everything that they offered. Overall it was a great community with nice staff.

I have enjoyed working with the staff. Yolanda is very personable, we like her very much. They are working hard to accommodate the level of care we need. We had a bit of an issue early on where laundry and things weren't getting done. The initial on-boarding wasn't as smooth as one would hope. My loved one hates the food. It looks like they have a lot going on for activities, and they go on an outing once a week. We originally thought that they had shuttle service for appointments, but it's not consistent, and transportation services aren't as convenient if you need to cross county lines.

Very nice place if you just need assisted living. Our problem was that we needed extended care that they said they could deliver but they didn't. Just be aware that you will be doing most of the work

Helpful, friendly, amazing are just some of the words to describe the property. We love it , our friends love it . I would suggest other people should come here as well.

I am pleased with The Solana Olney's direct communication. Activities there go from morning till dinner. After dinner there is not much going on. The medical services have something missing though. I would like to see a full time physicians assistant there. There have residents routinely going out on an ambulance. They have a full time RN which is good but they oversee a lot of other centers. The food stinks according to my mother. I don't see a lot of vegetables served. I would like to see them have more of a variety of healthy food. The getting through the door process was very smooth. They also told us they would help us with paper work. The staff even helped get the room set up. That part of the process at this facility was top notch.

My 93 year old mother in law arrived 9 days ago to the independent living building in the Park, with the Rainforest. The facility is lovely, and everyone is very friendly. Nice ambience in the dining room, but service is VERY slow. The room we chose called the Paradiso is a small one bedroom, and hard to decorate for the layout, and since we are on the 4th floor with a south exposure, it is very HOT in the room, even with the heat off in April. We hope there will be more control of the HVAC when the air is turned on for the season, after a "string of warm days" according to the marketing director.

initial impression is one of a homey relaxed atmosphere where staff interacts with residents seamlessly. way too early however to give an overall rating as only time will tell if facility truly offers a lasting living experience for my aunt.

I have mixed emotions about them right now but I want to be fair. We paid for a lot of services that we found out we weren't getting. I just feel that as an overall, for all communities, that they are constantly understaffed. I think the people there are really friendly. It's a nice place and there are a lot of people there that are happy. They do the best job they can to make sure everyone is taken care of and happy. If you're paying for showers and things like that, make sure they're getting done and make sure the place is getting cleaned. I think it's a nice place but - I think this is true for everywhere - they always make it sound like they can do everything for you and that's just not a reality. There are lots of people to take care of and some people need more than others.

It is a beautiful place, but it's relatively new, I guess it's only been there a couple of years, and their memory care and all of that was only half full at the time so there wasn't enough there to stimulate my mom, it was real dead there but it was a very clean, gorgeous place.

They were very helpful in the beginning. Answered all my questions. Helped with paperwork After she moved there were issues with medication and housekeeping. Felt like management dropped the the ball on following up on her. I would have like a move in meeting with my mom when we moved in. She had questions and I feel we would have been better informed how things worked. My mom is liking her new home. And is doing better physically. It is a tremendous weight off our shoulders not worrying about her. No longer being the caregiver we can just visit as her children.

They appear to be short on help. When requesting help it takes a long time before anyone shows up. I don't know how it is at other places so my recommendation is neutral but my Mother does not want to move.

The staff is amazing! Food is pretty good for institutional food. facilities are clean & roomy. I would definitely recommend them to others who are searching for a place for themselves or their loved one.

It was nice. The people who work there were friendly and seemed to know the residents by name. There were activities and it was clean.
