They were available at the moment the price was reasonable and the place looks great. The only thing back then. I believe they didn't have enough caregivers on the floor. Sometimes we saw one person taking care of at least 12 to 14 patients

Brookdale is not clean. If you need assistance, you have to hire your own. Only if you are practically independent is it a reasonable option without extra help. The staff is not accommodating. They are over worked and short staffed too often to be able to provide the care and assistance they put in the plan. There's a disconnect between the administration and the people in the rooms that is insurmountable. Too many staff directly involved with residents resent their work. The food is spotty at best. They often don't honor requests for menu selections, times, dietary guidelines, cutting food or special utensils. Mostly as a result of understaffing. What you CAN do there, is hire your own help and have hospice come in and stay in the apartment until your loved one passes. It's managing expectations. Families should not go in thinking the facility and staff can do it all. I'm so thankful we had the resources to hire private care at Brookdale.

I felt it was a nice facility, it was very clean and most of the of people there were nice. It lacked the one on one care my husband needed, because he has Alzheimer disease so he needed a lot of attention, I didn't feel like the staff there understood his needs. It is a good place for people who don't require a lot of help. My husband needed to be watched and helped with everything. I didn't feel he was happy there at all. My advice is don't put your family members there if they need a lot of assistance with every thing. It us not for people with severe dementia.

Food not good. Value for the money is too much. It is not very clean. The price was lower which was why we chose this facility, but now they have jumped too much. I have called two days asking for the Area Director and she does not call back. Too expensive for the quality of care. Food terrible. The assisted living residence have great quality of food but the residence in the memory care are in the basement and not treated the same. You can visit this place and you can see for yourself. They have a meal schedule with the items to choose from in the assisted living folks but the memory care folks get no schedule to select from and it is terrible. Two different floors with different treatment. I understand memory care is different but the one I am concerned about only needs help with shower because they are afraid she might fall. Memory care folks should have the opportunity to good food just like the folks upstairs. As of now I would not recommend them to others.

I would not recommend--there seems to be serious staffing problems (the executive Director recently left) communication with the facility can be difficult. We picked them because of the quality of the building and apartment construction

When I visited the site the staff was open and easy to reach. When I signed the contract it was more difficult to reach individuals. My family member was hospitalized after a fall. I received a call trying to come to the hospital to complete the process. I found that a little inconsiderate. I was able to get a portion of my money back but I had to make several contacts and be persistent . I have difficulty recommending this site.

It is extremely clean and cheerful. The staff is wonderful. They are having staffing issues since becoming Ceil which affects the care they give especially for basics like showering. Their food is okay but very salty which for my mom with CHF causes her to retain water.

It seems to me that this facility was designed for folks in their 80s and nineties. Many of the activities are not challenging and the music is big band/ Sinatra style for the most part. The crafts are e also not challenging to me. The faculty and staff are very nice and pleasant. The food is just meh except the desserts and soups and salads . They're very good usually.

Broken Brookdale sign out front isn't a good look on cleanliness. That and spilled food in the atrium that I hope it cleaned by now.

We expected to have PT and OT to be available from the beginning of our loved ones stay but that was not accurate. The facility was very clean, and the nurses, PT and OT for the most part were very kind and helpful. We hear the dinners are cold and that it takes a long time for the meals to come out of the kitchen. There does not seem to be enough help in the dining room and the food was not always tasty. The fees for rent are expensive. They do offer a wide variety of activities. The facility is quite lovely, but I think it is best for a resident who is somewhat independent and care for themselves with minimal assist from staff.

The best thing about Brookdale is the location. The business office needs better organization and at the moment we would not recommend Brookdale Dogwood Creek to other families.

I just wouldn't recommend Ciel of Princeton to anybody with severe dementia. Not for people who need one on one care. Just my opinion.

There are good people who are working there, but room for improvement in keeping the patients clean and keeping the rooms clean and in the quality of food.

I would continue to recommend it. My daughter and I looked at a lot of facilities and this is the only place we agreed on.

Management is awesome. At the caregiver stage, not so much. There is a lot of turnover. Have had multiple issues, particularly with 3rd shift. Problems are promptly addressed when brought to management attention, but I feel I should not be the watchdog. I feel for those residents needing advanced care that do not have an advocate.

The staff members are friendly and overall the cost is reasonable. The food that is prepared seems to be good. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on our experience. However, It isn't as clean as it was when she first got there but I think they try

My loved one was previously a resident at Huntington Place. I would not recommend the facility. There is resident theft by staff. It is always the resident's fault for being careless. The meals tend to be served cold. Security needs to be improved 100% - there is no feeling of Security for residents or resident's family. Well overpriced for living space and services!

dining changed after mom moved in, food menu became more exotic and not basics. Most residents wish they had pasta more often. They do have meetings for the residents and family to bring concerns forward. They have a new shower room which was one of the reasons we chose them. However it isn't used and they got rid of their hover lift after mom moved in due to insurance issues, which was another reason we selected them

The overall cleanliness of the facility is as good as it gets; however, the floor nurses are not very good at cleaning my parents' room and I have had to call them in on a regular basis. For example, one day I came in and the bathroom stunk of urine. In terms of care, they should be ashamed of themselves. I hired personal aides that are with my parents 24/7. The floor nurses see this and don't lift a finger to help. I've also seen the way they treat other residents at mealtimes. They sort of shove a spoonful of food at them and generally have a pretty careless attitude. So what exactly am I paying for? As far as I can tell, a one bedroom apartment with food and activities included. For the money (being in NYC) I guess it's okay. Let me know if you'd like to chat. I realize that all facilities are sort of like this except for the very best like Sunrise around the corner from me, but that's $[removed]/month. I just didn't know how poor the overall care was in the general industry. They are for profit institutions and they understaff to make money. Anyway, that's my feedback.

My loved one was previously a resident at HarborChase of Plainfield and overall, the experience was okay at best, not great. The frequent staff shortages seemed to plague the place. The main nurses were okay, but the agency nurses/care takers that they used didn't really care and were only there for a paycheck.
