We went with Voorhees Senior Living because of the value for the money and friendliness of the staff members. During covid, they have been doing window visits with our loved ones. If cases were low we were able to do outside/inside visits. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others looking.

One of the blessings I count from this strange year is certainly Brookdale Vernon Hills- THOUGHTFUL, KIND and GENEROUS friends at Brookdale Vernon Hills! Since I am 82, disabled and live alone in a nearby suburb, I never expected to have someone I didn't know before call to ask if I would enjoy home delivered meals occasionally, a Zoom B-fit and Craft activities sessions. Each one of you- Chefs, [names removed] and all administration whom I have never met but who have instigated such community outreach, has added a light to a dark year, and I for one am very grateful! Brookdale, with it's indoor forest and gardens in a beautiful place, which I look forward to visiting again in the near future- especially to THANK my new friends!

My Mom and mother-in-law have been residents at Brookdale Vernon Hills for quite a few years. They are both very happy at Brookdale. They have both made friends and find the staff very kind. Though it has been trying during Covid-19, Brookdale has done everything possible to protect everyone's safety. I believe they have been very reasonable and responsible. Before Covid-19, the food was very good and plentiful. To protect the residents, Brookdale has served box meals when contact was not possible. Though, obviously, the box meals are not as good, they are planned well and are nourishing. Brookdale is doing as best as can be expected. As the son and son-in-law, I appreciate all of the reports and efforts made by Brookdale.

they seem very attentive to all the residents, and they are very easy to communicate with. The facility was always clean and neat. The room sizes are great with a little kitchenette, and the food is good. I would recommend this facility to others.

This community has been very great, and it is kept clean. the value has been good and the care services have been excellent. Due to COVID they have stopped most of the activities but they do have somethings online.

Brookdale was a wonderful home to my mom. She made wonderful friends and their days together were filled with games, book clubs, current events & dining together. The staff and administration were wonderful to her and they also became friends. Brookdale was a nice warm environment for my mom and we appreciate them all!

Washington Township was always kept clean, we thought the value of this community was very good. We really liked the overall look of this community, everyone there was extremely friendly. The rooms are good size and very nice. The residents always played bingo, and arts and crafts. It might of been simple but everyone seemed to enjoy it. The food was good, they did have a variety for the residents to choose from. We were very with Washington Township!

It's a friendly and homey place. We chose this community because of price, location, and my research suggested that Brookdale was highly rated. I would recommend this community to other families. The food was above average and they offered a variety. The staff were friendly, proactive,and responsive.

The staff at Five Star Premier is pretty friendly they are very attentive to the residence, they seem to really care about them. Due to mothers physical condition she isn't able to participate in the overall activities they offer to the residence. They do have live performances and lectures, they will have members of the orchestra come in and give performances. They have great social activities. My mother seems pretty happy with the food, the rooms are very nice.

The staff was very on top of everything and there was never a time when I thought they neglected the cleanliness of the community; it was as clean as I would keep my own home. The staff was all wonderful. They were fantastically attentive to what was going on and getting it out in front of you. They were always very willing to help no matter what time of day.

The people are super nice and very caring. It is very clean. The staff really cares about the people that are there. My mom was in memory care. The food always looked good and fresh. The layout of the community was nice, it makes people move around. They have outdoor space.

The times I've been there it's been very clean. The staff is very friendly. The care is very good. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been a lot of ups and downs and the community is on lock down. We felt at first they were a little slow to update us on the status of the community, but they have gotten better over time. My father loves the food. He doesn't partake much in the activities, but they do offer them for the residents. My father has his own room and needed some more care throughout the night so we needed to hire an additional aid with him. One aid in particular has been great with keeping up with him and letting us FaceTime us. We looked at a couple communities and brought my father up from Florida, and we were very happy up until this pandemic. We don't necessarily think it is the fault of the community, however, as this has been a very difficult time for everybody.

I have lived here since 2014 and the staff gets better and better. I enjoy that the staff really take the time to listen and hear what the residents are saying. I also like that the majority of the Directors have been here 10+ years. Transportation is efficient and reliable. Ask anybody here the food is amazing with such great variety. Great job everyone.

The community here is really home to me. I have made so many friends and feel the freedom of not having to keep a house way larger. My neighbors are always inviting me to join them. I also love that my input is heard by the chef and [name removed] from activities. It shows how much individual attention we get by being involved as much or as little as we want.

I like being able to get a hot meal outside of mealtimes as I am always on the go and am sometimes not here during meal service. But I have no fear I can always order a hot meal from the always available menu. I like my apt and the residents and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I like that I can come and go as I please.

I enjoy the food here with my friends that I have met. It had me down when I moved from Illinois to Colorado to be closer to my daughter and not having any friends out here. The other residents made me feel welcome and wanted. They invite me to meals, outings, and to just chew the fat over some coffee. The view from my apartment that overlooks the park is just beautiful. The staff are so friendly. nice and approachable. Chef makes me laugh when he comes out to see how my meal is. He just does it in a cute kind of way I think. I look forward to many years here.

My apartment fits me perfectly as it is the right size and has everything I need in it. Bathroom, bedroom, full kitchen, and nice view. I get good sunlight which I enjoy. The waitstaff are very good and attentive. All the staff here go out of their way to make sure needs are met. My housekeeper is prompt and knows how I like my bed made. I am also able to have help from from outside if I need it. I am amazed at the longevity of the staff here with the most years being 30 years, it is wonderful to see people care like that. Maintenance does a great job with building upkeep and doing the yard work.

I feel this is a well-managed place. [Name removed] the Executive Director is always on top of everything. The staff here are friendly, kind, outgoing and protective of the residents and their co-workers. The food here is very good and I enjoy being able to sit in the dining room or any of the common spaces and leisurely hanging out with my neighbors and friends. We learn so much about each other, that we form lasting friends. The activities here are beyond what I use, as I am still driving and go out to my activities. But there is so much that you could be busy all day if you chose to be. I also feel the Tenure'd staff show this is the place to live and work.

I had a car accident which shot some of the nerves in my right leg, making it difficult for me to move around my cluster home. My daughter felt it would be better for me to be in a place that didn't have stairs as I was not able to go up and down them anymore. She found the Meridian Arvada and said "this is the place." I like my apartment as I was able to bring my valuable possessions with my and I feel I still have all the comforts of my cluster home. I love that the beauty shop is on-site. The food here is great and so are the exercise classes. I like all the nice people I have met here and don't feel isolated anymore.
