The staff at Five Star Premier are terrific and based on our experience so far we would without a doubt recommend this community to other families. We love the special attention and things they do for the residents. There is live music performances twice a week and even sometimes three times a week. The other day when we came to visit they even had an aromatherapy session for the residents. They have excellent medical care from the staff, psychiatrist and nutritionist.

My Dad, who has Alzheimer’s and lives in the moment, has lived at Huntington Place since October. The other day we took him out for lunch. As we were driving him back he asked us if he was going home. He meant Huntington Place! That is what it is – a home. It looks and feels like a home! As Dad walks through the hallways he looks at each painting and describes the story in it. [name removed] is driven by her love for the residents and her passion for excellent care. It sounds corny, but when you meet her and everyone (RNs, caregivers, activity Executive director, BTR director, etc) you know it right away! They read him his devotions he loves every day, provide him with opportunities to do what he loves. Bottom line, they love him like he is their own Dad and he knows it – and I know it! After these 5 months I am still amazed at how wonderful Huntington Place and this awesome family of caring people are for Dad! Carol

I have worked along side Huntington Place staff for over a year working with hospice patients. This facility is by far the BEST facility I have ever been to!! All staff truly care about their residents and they provide the best care. I have never seen staff that treat residents as if they were family, but here they do. Home cooked meals, they provide dignity and support to patients, staff is very experienced. I can not recommend a place more highly. Amazing place. Take a tour and meet the staff. They are fantastic! I like it here, I think employees are great

I have only lived here four months, however, I am VERY happy here. I am happy with the dining service A am O.K. with the housekeeping. I am very pleased with the front desk and how they are very helpful. Because of my job, I have not been able to take part in most activities. I loved the Christmas activities.

I was not too interested in this community due to the fact that it was a high rise community. We just knew that this community would not be the right fit for my loved one. The tour was good and they were very accommodating and showed us everything it was a super tour.

This community is okay. more expensive but it was a good community and they have different levels of care is needed.

We had a great tour with Brookdale Dogwood Creek. It was in our top 3 choices for sure but ended up being a little pricier than we were looking for. It seemed like a really nice facility.

The cleanliness of the community, the friendliness of their staff and their care services get 10 stars. They have so many activities going on every single day. The value for cost could not be better and we are so pleased

I would recommend you look into having you loved one come to the community. Harborchase checked all the boxes for us. The nice thing is that my loved one can be moved to memory care when needed as the community has both assisted living and memory care options.

This community is well run and friendly and professional. They have activities like sing a longs, and veteran day programs and even a thanksgiving dinner and more for the residents to do to stay busy.

Our family had an in person tour and the young lady who gave the tour was wonderful, she was fully of information which we appreciated. However we just were not in love with this community as much as another we toured, but we still had a great experience.

HarborChase gave us a great tour and the facility was beautiful. It was just too far away from my dads church and all of his friends.

HarborChase was not even open yet when we went for a tour and they really bent over backwards for us. The facility itself is beautiful. I really loved the managers philosophy, it was along the lines of "let her be our responsibility that way you can just enjoy her" and that really struck a cord with me. It ended up just not being the right fit.

I liked the community. The only downfall was it was too far from my home for visits.

We have not really been able to see the entire community, but our loved one tells us it is quite clean. She cooks for herself in her apartment so we do not have feedback over the meals. It is a little pricey but after everything they have to offer it is totally worth it. She is beyond happy right now, she enjoys all the extra curricular activities like bible study, bingo, road trips to the casino and to different restaurants. She even enjoys when they have ice cream sundaes and root beer floats.

I did a virtual tour with Brookdale and I really liked it. The lady who took me around on the phone made me feel like I was actually there at the facility and did a great job. The only reason we did not choose this one was because my dad did not care for the location.

HarborChase has been a great experience so far, we have been very impressed with everything. The staff members are extremely nice, and their onsite physician has just been wonderful. We do think the value for cost is amazing, and the rooms there are exceptionally nice. According to our loved one the meals are not so good, they are coming around to like it and they good thing is they can order other things if they don't like what they are serving. However we ate there a couple times ourselves and we thought it was nice food and good portions for seniors.

We chose HarborChase of Long Grove because they had availability quickly when we were needing it and when they contacted me I was just really pleased with them. The room sizes are great as well as the value for the money, it is excellent. I would tell others the staff are amazing, they are always more than willing to help. I did see the food yesterday and it looked really good. I would recommend to others looking.
