I really liked Cedar creek. I was impressed with the place. Unfortunately my mom was only there a few months before she passed away in January

The staff went above and beyond to work with our family. We are genuinely grateful for their help and service. They were very responsive to our questions and our circumstances, they worked with us to take care of her needs, and treated our mom with grace and dignity.

Cedarhurst Tesson Heights is an outstanding facility. Having dealt with senior living facilities for both my Dad (20 years ago) and Mom (4 years ago), Cedarhurst was in a class above the rest. Very professional staff, studio-style rooms, cleanliness, respot-style dining and caring and attentive nursing. An outstanding activities calendar, including outings to local Walmart, Dollar Store, restaurants and local attractions.

We toured and ultimately chose Cedarhurst of Bethalto for our loved one. We were very impressed by the people there—they are very caring and made us all feel welcome and at home. We are confident our loved one is receiving good care and they have been great at making sure our loved one stays active and attends activities. We are so pleased with our choice and so thankful to everyone at Cedarhurst. They have all been wonderful to work with!

Our family couldn’t be happier. It’s hard to co-ordinate our Dad’s care from out of state, they have been amazing to work with. They offer a great app that we get updates on, such a great thing for us to know when family nights are and activities so we can let friends and family know if they want to attend!

After wrestling with the idea of moving Mom from her house to senior living, my siblings and I finally took her on a few tours. Cedarhurst was the third of the day. Beautiful building, but they all were beautiful. At this point my mom was done, we were defeated. I wanted to pull [name removed] aside and tell her just take us to the apartment and let her pick it apart but it was too late because she was already up front when we arrived. Right away [name removed] and mom made the introduction and my brother and I were just there for decoration. One of the first things she said to our mother was that she understands she is considering leaving her home of 50+ years and how scary that thought must be, within 5 minutes my mom was opening up to her about things it took her years to admit even to us. Everything after that was icing on the cake. I hope this review helps another family in our position. Go to Cedarhurst first.

There is a lot to do when it comes to the activities and the food is good. The community is very clean and we would absolutely 100% recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The staff contacts me for any changes, like meds and moving to a different room and why. The patients are free to roam the facility as they wish (within reason) they make sure anything that can cause harm to your person or any other person are removed. (One family insisted on bringing silverware in to remind mom of home. Those items were removed as soon as the family left) the staff goes through training for a week before they are put on the floor. They keep the staff assigned to the same people as much as possible. The dining staff knows what your person dislikes and provides an alternative meal on the days it is scheduled for.

I have lived here since opening day and have made many friends. I think that if your loved one would give it a try they would love it. We have many activities with volunteers who come in. We also have a blue grass concert monthly, Bible study, Bingo.

My family has checked in different states and the cost is about the same. Cedarhurst of West Plains is a newer facility than the ones they have looked at! I have made several friends here at Cedarhurst.

We are very happy with Cedarhurst for my father in law. The place is very nice and the food is good. The staff is also very nice! The outside courtyard is very nice along with the inside. The apartment is very nice and the patio is a plus.

Staff are all attentive, friendly and help my dad when needed. House keeping is fantastic, room is cleaned and fixed up daily. All his needs are met. Yes would recommend this facility. Great place, my dad is thriving, gained weight good meals. He keeps to himself, like so many ALFs mostly woman. He is doing great.

The staff and nurses at Cedarhurst on Old Jacksonville road are excellent. They are very caring and personalble. The community is very welcoming and relaxed. The facility is clean and well appointed. The menu is Healthy and diverse. The meals and service in the open, sunlit cafe are first rate and the company and conversation are very homey. The physical therapy team on site works with residents to improve their mobility and their mood and confidence. There are lots of common areas and outdoor areas to enjoy some fresh air. And lots of activities on site and field trips that folks participate in and have a lot of fun and learn a lot. Finding this place was a relief and a blessing for my family. These people are truly special.

Absolutely, a five on every one of them! Cedarhurst was fantastic! The biggest thing that I noticed was that everything was clean. My dad was always taken care of even when he was on hospice there. He had clean clothes on every day his apartment and bedding were always clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They not only wanted to get to know the new resident but everything about their family so that they could make their life comfortable and as close to what they were used to when they lived on their own. They had wonderful food! I also did a lot of comparison and visits between Cedarhurst and about eight other assisted living facilities. The one thing that stood out to my dad was their availability to get them to appointments. They also had outings several times a week to places like the grocery store or restaurants. Or just fun things to do! Their activity calendar was above and beyond anything I've ever seen in an assisted-living! My dad was also even thinking of starting up a men's singing group. All the residents seemed very happy and very well taken care of! I had several of my family members say it was such a nice place, They wouldn't mind living there! Lol.

My mom has received excellent care as a resident of Cedar Creek for about six months. I am so thankful for this wonderful place! The staff is absolutely awesome and they honestly care about each person. All staff and residents are happy and kind. I visit often and haven’t found even one person that didn’t smile and say hello as they walked around the clean sunny facility or beautiful internal courtyards. There are no steps to trip on. The wide hallways have windows so You don’t feel closed in. She’s not alone & is actually engaging with others! (music, singing, games & talking) The nurses & nursing aids are the absolute best and assist her with gentle kindness. I don’t have to worry about her being hurt and alone, or missing any of her medicines or meals. She always gets the correct medicine on time. Laundry & cleaning is done for her. She likes the hair salon. She chooses meals from good food options. Many times she wants “her” dining room instead of going with us to a restaurant.

Cedarhurst of Springfield gets a 5 for all. It isn't a contest even. Frankly she's getting the best care I've ever seen in any facility. Her parents went through it too and had I done it over with them I'd have them in Cedarhurst. They are extremely communicative and excellent with problem solving
