My husband had a stroke and returned to the facility afterwards & I don't feel he is a good representative to let you know about all the questions you have asked. Everyone is very friendly . I feel the facility is clean , they clean the rooms & always vacuuming the halls. My husband doesn't partake of many of the activities which they have listed everyday. They also have someone ..who can take you to doctors & appointments. They have a bus that takes you on rides, lunch, shopping etc. I wouldn't say the food is great , but feel they should have the residences tell how many times they do not take the prepared meal for that time & get a cheeseburger or chicken tenders instead. They have a menu that you can choose from if you don't want the food that is prepared. I don't know the budget the kitchen has to prepare their food. They have their own pharmacy that dispenses your meds that then the aids or nurses will give you. They have parties weekly, & cream socials. Most of the people are on walkers or wheelchairs. The price is reasonable compared to others Senior homes. Check it out!

What we like the most about this community are the services that are provided and their staff. Yes, we would recommend Cedarhurst of Naperville to other families.

My mom probably is not a good test case because she was in hospice. She couldn't see or walk so didn't partake in activities and they had her on a bland diet but I liked that the staff was always in the same room as them and the seemed very caring. We chose Cedarhurst of Oakwood over other places because of the price.

Caregivers should know that the transition time for getting used to any assisted care can be rough. But hang in there!

The friendliness and competency of staff, is what made them stick out over others. The staff is very caring. I have found they go the extra to make residents comfortable

I would recommend to others. Staffing has been pretty consistent. It feels like a home environment. I believe they care about my father as a person.

Cedar Creek is a smaller, well organized community, so I think new residents won't feel overwhelmed or intimidated. It's easier for my mom to feel a personal connection with staff, meet other residents, and quickly establish a sense of belonging that might be difficult in a larger facility.

The facility is nicely decorated and feels like home. The apartments are a good size and up to date. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The common areas are tidy and clean. They treat the residents with compassion and care. The food seems to be better than average. When my mother was dying the staff was very attentive and kind to us as well. It is probably more expensive than many people can afford but I felt it was worth it. I felt comfortable leaving her in their care when I could not be there.

I would give each category a 5. Dad was only there for 5 months before he passed, but he received excellent care. Somehow the staff even managed to get him to join in activities! That was a miracle!! I would absolutely recommend them.

Overall experience. 5! If I could give them a 10 I would. To quote what one of his primary caregivers told me: "I just think of everyone here as if they were my own grandparents". And that is how they are treated, like they truly are family. He knows he is loved and well cared for. And he loves being with them. He is not only living .. but he is thriving! And some of his progression with dementia seems to have actually reversed! He just moved in at the first of December, and the staff has already talked to me about working with him, and trying some new things that he hasn't been able to do in awhile. Like using a "sit & stand" device to be able to stand to transfer from chair to toilet or bed, etc. , instead of the "Hoyer Lift" that he has been using for the past 6 months. We are waiting for the device to be delivered, but I love that they are taking the interest, and time, to work with him. The food is actually quite good. He always eats everything, and sometimes asks for more, which they are happy to give him. Before he was having trouble eating enough to stay healthy.

Her only complaints have been that the activities are sometimes canceled, move to a different room or the time changed. The other complaint is that some meds are not given per the instructions like directions say 1/2 hour before meal but are given while she is eating frequently. Only complaint here is that it is pricey but she does get good care overall.

Cedar Creek of Bloomington is a very friendly place and the staff are also great!

We toured this beautiful facility 2-years ago. This was the first place we looked at. I told a friend who's father was in assisted living that I was looking & she had all good things to say about his facility so we checked it out. It was a better financial situation for us at that time. [name removed] at Cedarhurst kept in touch with me even after we made the decision to go elsewhere. That left a lasting impression. In the mean time, we sold my father's house & his monthly VA Benefits went up which made his financial situation better. After the facility my father was in closed, I brought him home with me & soon realized he needed more care than I could give. [name removed] was my 1st call. She went above & beyond to help this transition. After two months of my father residing at Cedarhurst we are happy with our decision. The staff is fantastic, caring & wonderful. The food that is served is so good that my sister & I eat with our father as often as we can. I highly recommend this facility!!

They are helpful. They keep trying to improve their help and balance the staff size to keep cost down.

I appreciate the individual care and personal touch of all the workers towards my dad. They go above and beyond. They get to know him and interact in a personal level. I also appreciate that everyone loves my dog when he visits his grandpa, too. Our family is blessed to have such people caring for our dad.

It took months for us to decide where grandma would like to go. Cedar creek of Fortwayne was the best option hey are a small place and really care for the people that stay here and they are focused on keeping people happy.

They accommodate my mom's distance have some many activities! The staff is very friendly. Her room is kept very nice and they keep her laundry very clean. Her favorite thing is to go to dairy queen and order food.

I was treated respectfully and my mother was too. We’ve been given assistance navigating this difficult transition. My mom was visited in her home prior to coming here and I was also walked through this transition personally. The staff and caretakers have gone above and beyond for my mom and my family! I am greeted by name when I come to cedar creek and I feel thankful that my mom is safe. Overall, it’s been a difficult transition for my mom and the family but we’ve been assisted every step of the way!

I absolutely adore this facility! From regional staff, providers and the staff that steps up every day. Families should consider no other place besides Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne for the care and safety of their loved ones! NO AGENCY at Cedarhurst that was very important to us.

My mother is happy and considers Cedarhurst home. She feels safe. Staff members are amazing, and the food is always good no complaints. We are happy to have moved mom into Cedarhurst. We couldn't be more happier.
