Staff and community are warm and friendly. Food is outstanding. A bit pricey but the room is large and well lit. Good activities.

Very nice staff At Cedarhurst. The activities were fantastic Wide variety of food the only disappointment was the laundry service. You could mark your name on everything but never get it back We felt that the staff truly cared about our mom

As I have told administration, weekends and holidays are a little confusing for residents with even mild dementia. Staffing seems to be less and different people who may alter schedules for medicine distribution and help with showers, etc. Otherwise, facility is ALWAYS Clean and well maintained. They have tons of activities, even on weekends. Mom sometimes complains about the food, but I really think it is her taste buds at 93.

I do recommend to others and will. They are good and if you ask them to do things they do their best. Very satisfied with all

All my questions were answered. I found the area to be clean with no odd smells. Saw very few residents during our tour. We ended near the dining area and saw a few then. It may have been an outing day, so fewer in-house. Our "tour guide" was able to call each person we met by name. I asked about the ratio of workers to residents and she mentioned 1 head nurse per shift and one assistant per shift. There was no mention of any aides that would help with daily routines and I saw none. That was a bit of a concern. Otherwise a good start to our finding a place. Below you are asking about staff. We only met one other then the sales associate so can't give an answer.

My sister and I started touring memory care facilities and toured Cedar Creek of Prairie Meadows first. The Director of Sales in charge of the tour provided very detailed information and could answer all of our questions and address all of our concerns about placing our mother in specialized care. The rooms were a nice size and clean. It was reassuring to see planned activities for the residents on a large displayed calendar. Staff seemed pleasant but we didn't see a lot of interaction between them and the residents.

Clean, friendly and were very helpful on getting them in quickly since it was an emergency situation. I would recommend.

My brother was most interested in a smaller facility and this definitely meets that criteria. Fewer residents means less confusion, less noise, cozier spaces, etc. I know they have recently had the roof replaced and the landscaping worked on. Now it's time to replace the carpeting in the public spaces.

The facility is nice. The staff...there is turnover but they're pretty good, I would recommend them to others looking.

What we like the most about the community is Knowing that my Mother is cared for and has a regular routine.

From her admission in [date removed] until she was transferred to inpatient hospital and rehabilitation in [date removed] her experience was satisfactory. It was Generally positive. I was not pleased that they wouldn't discontinue charges for advanced services when she was no longer receiving them.

Recent admin changes have made the situation better but too early to give an opinion overall. At least communication seems better. Value for the money!? What is these days. Pay it and move on is the feeling around here.

The staff is very kind and pleasant. Our family member has mid/late stage dementia and was not promoted on a regular basis to change clothes or bath. The food seems ok, however they do not take into consideration someone with diabetes. They feed carbs at every meal and minimal protein. They seem to have a nice variety of activities probably just not often enough.

My dad is complaining about food. He and the guys at his table think they lost their main cook. Dad has joined some of the social activities and he likes the live music and singing. We are happy that he goes to exercise class most days. The staff has been super nice and attentive.

It can be hard to meet new friends. Yes I would recommend. The community is well kept up.

The ratio for any community should be considered. The larger ones have a ratio that is unacceptable especially in the memory care. Just remember in memory care the personal care should be #1 priority not fun and games! I feel Cedarhurst did have the priority of personal care above other things. The larger communities do not carry or practice this.

The staff is helpful. The food is good, they bring in different entertainment.

Very helpful to getting us in on a short notice. Facility is very nice and welcoming. Yes, we would recommend Cedar Creek of Bloomington to other families based on the experience so far.

Following a stroke and other health issues, my husband and I decided that it was time for more help with his health care needs. After research and consultation/communication with A Place for Mom, we decided to move him into Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes. Overall, it has been a positive experience. The facility was helpful with the move and he is getting good care. It is definitely an adjustment to the new chapter in life.

There seems to be a real issue with keeping help. There's a massive turnover in the kitchen and with cleaning people. I'm sure they aren't paid well, but this problem has caused concern with residents.
