Staff is very friendly and helpful. However, there are a few things they said you get but wasn't the case unless you were in assisted living rather than independent. Such as the alert button. Apartment size is adequate. It would be nice if they had garbage disposals in the apartments. And provide soft drinks like soda and tea. There a one thing that is still concerning that you and resident facilities have told me to do to help with cost. That was to use Patriot Angels for VA funding. I signed the contract and paid the fee of almost [price removed]. But we have yet to get any funding. She moved in [date removed]. They submitted application [date removed] and final submission on [date removed]. But have not received anything and it's been over the 90 days. If it doesn't come through then we have to move her out. Which will be very disappointing and put ya in a predicament.

I think overall the staff is friendly and tries to accommodate requests. They try to know each resident and provide personalized care. It would be great to have more one on one care (better resident to staff ratio).

The staff are very helpful and answer all your questions so you can understand them. They are will to answer all questions even if you think not so good. They are there for your family member and family. Facility is very clean and so open and welcoming. From my father that's there he says he likes this place more than the place he was at before. He's not wanting to leave like before. Seems to always be happy.

The facility and resident apartments are beautiful and homey. they are often short staffed and struggle to provide the necessary individual attention to residents.

Beautiful facility, great food, kind staff. Would recommend to anyone! Honestly, it was the first and only facility we looked at. We just loved the intake coordinator and the grounds. All the residents seemed very happy as well. The facility itself is very new, I think it was built in 2017 so or so that was a nice plus as well.

Everyone was friendly and engaging. Care was authentic. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families

Most staff is very friendly. When I leave a message it takes days to get a call back, if I even get one. The size of room is decent. The number one complaint is the quality of food they serve to residents, especially in memory care. Most of it I would not even want to feed to my dog. I know that sounds harsh but it is true

Go and check the place out. It won't disappoint. Big windows in the apartment. Cleanliness. Residents looked happy. Staff did not look overly stressed.

It's a very clean and friendly place. Very expensive. We’re at the top of the payment ladder but still wish she had more assistance with self care. Rooms are a very nice size. You get three meals a day and a shower twice a week. Laundry is extra. Hair stylist is extra, dispensing of meds is extra.

Secured mom an apartment at Cederhurst in Oakwood, Ga. Had a delay moving in due to a fall my mom had, breaking her hip. Cedarhust kept her apt. available for her. Such a relief. The Sales Manager, [name removed]has been wonderful throughout the entire process of securing an apt., getting her moved in and helping direct me to correct people when I need help answering questions.

Cedar Creek is a perfect place for my mother. When we first began looking, she did not want to leave her home. However, she was not safe at home, having fallen numerous times and needed ER care. While she was able to tend to most of her daily living chores, she could not remain at home due to her health. The facility is a great fit for her, allowing many social reasons for her to interact with others. The only thing that has been an issue is getting the team to send me a schedule of activities, since I have to drive almost 2 hours for a visit. If I don't know what is going on there, I will arrive and not find her available for a visit. Her happiness is the number 1 reason I am glad she is there.

The place is nice. People will like it. People get along. They have fun activities.

We have had issues with a certain aide over stepping her bounds. She has been reprimanded twice IT expensive, but cheaper than most places. Going up [fee removed] in 2025. Been told to expect an increase every year

There are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The facility is looking a bit ragged around the edges. Some fine cleaning, painting could be done. The facility was closest to home for mother-in-law. We wanted her to be close to her friends and family. The cost was about in the middle of the 5 we considered. We were also informed that at some point this facility will accept Medicaid recipients and this was what we wanted on the chance that she would deplete her funds.

For the most part all goes well most of the time. very clean never had a complaint in 2 year. Staff is very pleasant and easy to work. with. Always available for family members to speak with and if there are concerns they address them. The care taken by the nurses and aids is good. Some of the help is not as friendly with my mom as they could be, but she can be a handful at times. Meals are great , my mom enjoys her meals and enjoys seeing other residents eating also. There is always activities and they encourage all residents to enjoy and stay involved. My mom is 87 now and slowed down quite a bit, but is always encouraged to join in. The cost in my opinion is quite a bit. I do think you get a lot of care, but [fee removed] a month is A LOT of money. Worried about where we go when her savings runs out.

Cedarhurst is mostly a lovely place with a beautiful building, daily activities, good community. & a icaring staff I trust with my loved one. There’s no excuse for the unacceptable & unhealthy food or for serving sloppy Joe’s & tater tots to people paying a minimum of $[removed] a month, most of whom shouldn’t be eating high fat, fried foods. There’s a dearth of vegetables. They seem to have selected the worst from the frozen food and canned goods section of Sam’s Club, They should hire a real chef who actually cooks & has the expertise to prepare heart healthy meals, with green vegetables, salad bar, and olive oil. Foods should be labeled with calories & salt content. There doesn’t seem to be any significant security. The doors are locked at 8, which is too early. They don’t really check to see if you belong there after hours. Someone should staff at the front desk 24/7. Each resident should have an electronic key fob or some system so only residents, staff, and guests can enter.

Some of the staff seemed bothered to be asked for help and some didn't care or pay attention to personal needs! Some meals were not fit for the elderly!!! Some meals most food was left on the plates by all. when needs are not being met and request or met with nothing more than a phone call to oblige you, there is mushroom for improvement. This all lies in the directors lap to make sure things change for the better!!

I found the staff friendly, I did not find [name removed], director, very helpful or friendly most times. [name removed], who was at front desk was the best, very pleasant and helpful. We pay[fee removed] less where we are now, and most time the care is comparable.

The food is sub-par for the money we pay. There is limited variety and secure is slow. The food is usually cold which could be the cook or the wait staff not promptly delivery it. The residents have expressed this to management but it always falls on deaf ears. They really don't care about this.

[name removed], the intake coordinator was extremely helpful. She made the decision to choose Cedarhurst at Edison Lakes incredibly easy. My mother is content at this facility. Her apartment is exactly what she needed. The meal schedule is difficult for her to always attend. However, knowing she has the availability is great. Unfortunately, there have been some difficult issues with the executive staff refusing to work further with me or my mother and not returning calls or emails. We've tried to resolve these issues, even speaking to corporate. [name removed] at corporate was very friendly. Finally, after nearly 10 days, I heard back from the Edison Lakes Executive director. I'm hopeful things will continue to improve, despite the fact I don't think this situation was handled well. That is sad considering the amount my mother spends each month. It's difficult to rate staff overall. While the executive director was slow to respond and the assistant executive director has yet to reach out despite me being told she was reprimanded, EVERYONE else from the nurse to the maintenance and cleaning staff have been 5 star.
