They are very friendly at The Waterford at Edison Lakes, and very helpful when it comes to the tours and giving you all the information you need, and addressing any questions. I have had meals with my dad there a few times, and from my experience some of the wait staff can improve a little. They are friendly but forget requests, can take a while, etc. Overall though everything has been very good.

McKinney Place is a wonderful place for seniors to live! They accept pets, have awesome activities and delicious food! The staff are awesome!

The experience couldn't have gone better starting with the marketing person taking us on a walking tour of the facilities. Explanation of what to expect, the role of the staff, meals, activities, and all other aspects of daily life. My parents thank me EVERY time we go to see them for finding such a wonderful lace to live. The LOVE the staff, from the management, who actually know and check in with them daily, to the wait staff which joke and interact with them always, to the medical staff who take care of their needs, and the cleaning and maintenance crew that is unbelievable in keeping the building spotless! Again, we couldn't have found a better place for my folks to live! Ask for your own walk through and you won't believe your eyes!

The staff and administrators are really nice and Dad perks up when the Director, [name removed] chats with him. She is truly exceptional with the residents. There is a young woman who has taken over the activities and she is cute and funny and attentive. She likes to cut up with them (I have been in several activities with Dad) and the residents seem to like her. The head nurse is an LPN and doesn't seem to know anything about diabetes. My sister and I were just talking about we have not seen her for awhile. Dad (and the men at his table) complain about the food. The meat is almost always chicken and it's always dry. They seem to have a problem in turnover in the kitchen. I don't think I can emphasize enough the importance of food to a person in a facility setting. I know for the corporations that own the facilities, food is the first place they cut corners to save money. Food is the difference between dying and thriving. (Seriously, I'm not kidding)

So far they have been very easy to work with, management has been very easy to access and they seem to really care about Mom and her health! Staff is friendly and seem to be well trained and generally competent.

The administer is a good compassionate leader. My wife is in memory care and hospice is now assisting. My wife was a very good cook and I'm okay so the food is just okay to our standards. It seems the evening crew is less dependable and apparently all facilities face a pretty high turnover. I drive 32 miles 4 or 5 times a week to help [Name Removed] offering some t l c and I often take some home made meals.

Staff was very helpful and they all knew [name removed] personally. She loved the bingo. Cedarhurst took her out to Walmart and restaurants on day trips. She made friends with the other residents and enjoyed their company, especially on the front porch in the summer.

The staff is amazing. The other residence are all welcoming and kind. The communication with the doctor and pharmacist that are linked to Cedarhurst could be improved. The activities and activity director are great but some of the activities are canceled without that information being shared. But overall we are very happy with Cedarhurst.

Seem to be very involved with the people. Kitchen needs help. Mom complains of food being cold but she won't say anything to the staff Another lady sitting with here did send it back. Think they have added soup which was lacking.

What stands out: The staff is very caring; ALL staff are engaged in different ways with the residents; and there is a large number of activities (5 daily) that vary and change with time that really provide for social engagement and fun.

Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience with this facility. The staff are responsive, caring, and attentive, and the building itself is clean and well-maintained. That said, there are a few areas that need improvement. There seems to be some disconnect between higher-level medical providers and CNAs, which has led to occasional challenges with medication and care distribution. Additionally, individual rooms can become too warm, with limited options for adjusting the temperature aside from opening windows. The most significant concern, however, is the food. It has been consistently poor to the point that my loved one dreads meals and has even lost weight because of it. We’ve also found it extremely difficult to identify the right person to speak with about this issue, as concerns tend to get passed around without resolution. Despite these concerns, especially regarding the food, our overall impression remains positive—we just hope to see improvements in these key areas.

This place is memory care only. No assisted living mixed in. They take the tough cases. Really liked management- always willing to talk. Staff was great as well considering their work environment- but they obviously needed additional help- especially at night. Very clean - everyone pitches in.

We are new to this, but generally happy with Cedarhurst. They didn't notify me when one of them fell and they called ambulance for ER. The value is great and I already had a sibling here before. Not really very fast to fix things they turn in work order but have to ask a couple times to get them fixed

Mom will be moving to a studio when one is available but it is much further from the elevator. My mom doesn't currently participate in activities but I would rate a 5 since activities are offered daily and those participating seem to be enjoying them. I wish the lowest level assisted living was more affordable, but this facility is in line with the market. Overall would recommend.

Thanks for your help in the search for assisted living for [Names Removed] they are now at Cedarhurst a bit overwhelmed but getting acclimated to the new surroundings

Like any senior living community, Cedarhurst can be understaffed at times. The staff is very friendly and are very willing to help. My mother likes the food. The apartment is a one bedroom. It is plenty big enough for her. The building is open and bright. It is kept up and clean. There are many activities for the residents. They have a movie theater. It would be nice if they posted what movie that was being shown. Was not pleased when there was a 9% increase in rent when the cost of living was a little over 2%

Nice place. Roomy apartments. Friendly staff. The only real issue was that it wasn't made 100% clear to me that once an apartment was reserved, we would start paying rent. We didn't move mom in for another month. The manager there was very apologetic and reduced the first month's cost by about half.

My dad transferred there from another facility due to his behavior. My dad did not adjust to the move. Cedarhurst was a much larger facility. I feel my dad did not get as much one on one attention causing him to be depressed. I moved him home after just one month.
