Cascade Living Group

It's an excellent facility. I think they are very very business like and appropriate, and they handle things very well. The people seem very happy there and everybody takes their medication. They are located in a really out of the way place so that is the only thing that I would mark them down for. The price is fair I think. They have good security here, and that is something I appreciate.

Cascades is a bit older, but is gradually being updated throughout. The people are very nice, and the tennants seem to be very happy. The food is excellent, and the cost for guests is minimal. Staff is caring, with lots going on. My parents both really like it - they have a sunny apartment with a great view. Our experience so far has been a good one!

I was impressed by the facility, the atmosphere, the programs, the people and the menus. I did feel the nonrefundable community fee equivalent to a full month rent ($4600 in my case) is really excessive, and twice as high as the next highest fee I found elsewhere. I visited six places, and this fee ranged from $600 to $2500 elsewhere, most about $1000. Why would they need thousands more?? However, the biggest drawback of Regency is that it is strictly private pay only, no Medicaid, you must move out when your money runs out. If you are very well to do, with no risk of money running out, this is a lovely place.

Our loved one had a short stay here, and they were very accommodating to her needs. Her care needs advanced swiftly throughout her stay, and they were very flexible when it came to the level of support of room accommodations. I would have no problem selecting Royalton Place if I was the one needing care, and I'd recommend it to others.

Visited on 1/3/2014- Very impressed with facility and Jane Farmer. A definite possibility when the time comes to commit. Possibly an evaluation by them would be in order.

I like the facility. Assuming that the things they told would happen actual would happen I would have been more than happy to have my parents live there. They were just out of our price range.

It's huge. I thought it was just too big for my mother. She has dementia and I thought, because of that, a smaller place might be better for her.

My dad isn't too far in to the care they have but they have room service and laundry every week. All that is absolutely great. The activities are great too. I think it would be nice if they expanded the food menu a little. You always have an alternative menu like a sandwich or a cheeseburger or something and my dad orders off the alternative menu a lot. Most of the people there order off the alternative menu too. They don't offer a lot of potato products and I think they have steak maybe once a month. That would be the only thing they could improve on I think. We really like that they have all levels of care, all the way to hospice. It's nice to know my dad will never have to move to a whole new place and have his routine disrupted.

Nice facility. Assisted living and memory care. A bit smaller/quieter. Seemed like fewer common areas which were nice, but not quite as large or as well-appointed.

Good area, nice bright rooms. Nice decor. So far, like best.

that one is more independent living. It was very nice. It was very clean. I liked the guy that ran it. I got a good feeling from him. He was very helpful as far as trying to help me understand what I needed to look for in a home for my dad which really amazed me because he wasn't trying to sell me his community because it wasn't right for what I was looking for but he was still being very helpful in helping me figure out what I needed to look for. I really thought that was awesome.

It's very very nice but it's all lockdown and that's not what I wanted for my husband.

Magnolia Village is geared to seniors who don't need help with daily activities. They provide 3 good meals per days, transportation via company bus to medical appts., church, and shopping, and plenty of activities ranging from card games to balloon volleyball. They also host a special event or party every month or so. Rent is reasonable, with the exception of the additional "activities fee" that is equal to one month's rent (not refundable). If you question this extra fee, they offer to "work with you". Ours was reduced by half. This is not an assisted living facility, so there is no caregiving included in the pricing. However, they do have an outside caregiving agency that works within the facility. Residents must contract with this agency for care and are billed separately for this service, which can raised the cost a little or quite a bit depending on the degree of help that is needed.

We all loved this place. Mom and stepdad were very pleased at the amenities and helpfulness of the staff. We were a little concerned about the areas for walking the dog. Quite different than what they have now. Much more sidewalk walking than the open spaces they have now. Though this was not a concern that either they expressed. The place was lovely. I see how important a 24hr nurse on site is when you are looking at progressive housing and care. The rooms are very nice and we understand how and why there aren't many openings available and how we need to get on a waiting list quickly though we were not ready to do so without financial affordability knowledge already in place. The Director couldn't have been kinder or more accommedating to our parents. She was great. The residents seemed happy. We had a chance to chat with a couple. Loved the INN!!! The VILLAGE is just as nice only understandably the residents were receiving more care that was evident. Mom was excited about the fitness classes available and my stepdad was happy about all the offsite excursions available. They also liked that they need not go together to everything (to watch over eachother) and could pursue their own interests. We did not tour the memory care unit. Need to do that on a repeat visit. Went back to tour memory care. LOVELY! Very homey and offers many activities also.

Bby far the most elegant and medically oriented facility I've toured. They offered nice extras like a well-stocked snack area filled with drinks, cookies, fresh fruit. That was a nice touch. They also offered an anytime dinning type of service. Price is the deterrent for this facility. The basic type independent living cost for both of my parents was more expensive, but as their needs become greater, I did like the medical offerings here better. I really did like it here too because the activities seemed more varied and interesting than the other places.
