We chose Carriage Inn because it was the best bang for the buck for everything they were able to offer. She is in the smaller apartment and it is adequate, the other ones are great size. I would let others know that your family has to log in from the front entrance, they cannot just walk into your apartment. There is also no washer and dryers in the apartment, you have to use community ones, but they are free to residents. I would recommend to others looking.

The community has several levels of care, but the community says they are not able to admit diabetics. I would recommend this community. The staff is very nice and their hearts are in the right place.

Carriage Inn community was a larger facility so there was a great amount of games and activities to do. They had bingo every day, a small bus that would take them to Walmart every week. They could play dominoes and have movie nights. They offered a good variety of food for the residents to choose from. At each meal they offered a few main courses where they could choose from, and if they didn't like the main courses they could fall back and eat a hamburger or a sandwich that was also offered at every meal.

I have lived here for 9.5 years. I think they really try to make it as comfortable as possible. You can't expect a place this old to be perfect. They take care of any problem as soon as possible.

It is a convenient place for me to have my mom. I am not always convinced that when I am not that they are keeping her active. The caregivers seem to be really friendly and loving, when I am there. I chose this community for its location, cleanliness, and in the beginning it was a good value. The charges have increased by 27% in the last two years, which was disappointing. I would recommend this community to other families.

It is a kind and welcoming place with good direct personal care. They had a turnover in directors that led to some uneven supervision. We chose this community for location, to be near family. The food is a little above average. They do have good variety and the dining staff are very client friendly and accommodating. I really liked the nursing staff, caregivers, the housekeeping and dining staff. I would recommend this community.

Village on the Park is a friendly and welcoming place. My mom really loves living in the community and being around the other residents that live there. Her only complaint is that food is limited in taste. It seems to have its good and bad days. She likes her apartment.

This was a lovely place and [name removed] was very friendly. Unfortunately it is over budget and does not provide care for anyone who is not weight-bearing.

The staff is so caring and friendly. We could not ask for more caring people. This is a very hard time of life and they have helped us tremendously.

The staff is exceptionally good. The only problem, I have is that the cook needs to learn how to cook. The meat is usually overlooked and many dishes have too much sugar in them - sugar should be reserved for the desserts!

This location was very nice and very clean. [Name removed] was a gem to speak with. The only draw back here is that they have open studios. The one bedrooms are only divided by a wall so it doesn't offer the privacy that he would like. It is still in the running at this point.

This would appear to be a very nice place with great amenities and care. However, it would just be too expensive for me personally, although it might be considered in the 'satisfactory' range for other people.

Appeared to be well run and well kept. The staff was attentive and professional. The big issue here is that no 1 BR units are available since there is a six month waiting list comprised of existing residents wanting to upgrade from studios.

Stoney Brook is easily one of the newest communities I visited. Everything was so neat and clean and the rooms were very warm and roomy.

I really liked Carriage Inn. The residents and staff all appeared happy and active. The building is older, but the public areas are bright and cheery. It is a place I feel my mom would enjoy, but there is a long wait list and we need something sooner. A big plus is that this facility allows aging in place and transitions between independent living and assisted living are seamless.
