We're very happy with the place/experience. The tour was very informative. Staff were helpful. No issues. My dad is a bit of a curmudgeon but even he seems to be doing well there. He's participating in activities and seemingly making friends. Rather surprising.

They keep clients busy with various activities. The facility is clean. The staff care about clients. They also care about clients family.

I would highly recommend. Staff never give up on patients. They reproach and know how to deal with dementia in a gracious way

They were easy to work with. I get constant complaints from Mom about the food. She is moving in June and didn't want another Brookdale. They seem to be struggling with staffing.

Caring, understanding, loving community and staff. They treat the patients and their families with patience and respect. They go out of their way to meet your loved ones needs.

Improve on variety of meal choices and add a few more activities. The community inclusiveness is great. Care and concern is also evident.

My brother [name removed] had been in hospital care for Pneumonia for over a month. Working with the Case Coordinator [name removed] at the hospital and A Place For Mom Senior Advisor [name removed] is how they came up with Brookdale ( Poulsbo) mainly because the Dialysis Center my brother was assigned to was also in Poulsbo. An appointment with the Director of Brookdale ([name removed]) was arranged by another representative of APFM named [name removed]. I have had interviews with other Assisted Living facilities already and I was most impressed with how friendly and thorough [name removed] was. His first question to me was asking about my brother and his needs. [name removed] assessed that my brother's need for a place to regain his strength, mobility and nutritional needs was a priority. To expedite Brookdale's assessment process, the interview with my brother was done on a Sunday by Brookdale's head Nurse [name removed]. By midweek my brother was moved into his new apartment. From the first moment I stepped into Brookdale I was greeted with friendly and helpful hospitality. I was also impressed with how transportation to medical appointments for my brother was accommodated. [name removed] was very satisfied by his stay there and he was able to recover fully enough to return back to his own home.

Very friendly and caring staff. Very clean and organized. Fun activities. The courtyard is beautiful. My aunt is very happy there. This is the 3rd home she has been in, those places are awful! I know I found her, her forever home. Staff is very attentive!

Kind, gentle, patient and informative! Cleanliness, staff, setup of building is what stuck out over other places.

5 for all categories. My dad received excellent care at Brookdale. What we like the most about Brookdale is the Care given to patients and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

I spent years wondering if my mom needed elevated assistance due to her cognitive decline. After some tremendously low moments, I began my search for memory care. After multiple tours I FELL IN LOVE with Brookdale in The Colony. Why? THE STAFF. The director [name removed] is an old soul who genuinely cares for the residents & passes that to the staff. She believes in music & the celebration of Holidays which creates a home kind of setting. Next, the intimate, memory care only, setting. The low number of residents allows your loved one to get AMAZING care. Finally, the program coordinator [name removed] has created an environment of stimulating fun! From field trips, daily games, or an afternoon Happy Hour with loved ones, the resident's cohesiveness is front & center. My mom was in rough shape on day 1, but she has made a miraculous turnaround & is the life of the party now! She needed Brookdale and is beyond happy & at peace & that is so important to me. Thank you Brookdale from the bottom of my heart.

Brookdale has been very accommodating for our family. Enabling us to visit our loved one on a daily basis Has been a true blessing for Mom and family. Staff is very friendly and attentive to the individual residents needs.

Our experience has been wonderful from the very first visit. All the staff has been very helpful, polite, courteous and fun. The facility is beautiful to clean. Most of all, my aunt really likes it there and is meeting new friends and enjoying the activities but can also just go relax in her apartment if that is what she was to do, The activities have brought some cake back to her. Not enough space to express how much Charleston Gardens means to me as POA/MPOA and my aunt. My aunt hasn't just lived at Charleston Gardens for nine years, she has THRIVED! At 97, they've taken such amazing care and interest in her whole health. So many people to credit but it starts at the top with management. [name removed],[name removed],[name removed],[name removed][name removed],[name removed][name removed],[name removed], and all director I've encounter are phenomenal and consider every resident their family. I live over an hour 1/2 away and had the opportunity to move her closer to me. Although it would be more convenient for me, it would be unfair for her to move from the safe space she's considered home for 9 years. The facility and campus are beautiful and well-maintained. It doesn't feel like an "institution" or nursing home. It is always seasonally decorated and festive. If the time has come for your family to make the difficult decision about placement for your loved one(s) please don't hesitate choosing Charleston Gardens. Nine years is long time to see people for who they are. Skilled, compassionate, dedicated staff is what you will find at Charleston Gardens. This has been the best choice for my family and I'm confident it will be the right choice for yours.

Mom is 99 and change in routine are difficult. Across the board the staff has been welcoming to mom and helped ease the transition a very well run and caring facility.

We toured dozens of place. Looking for Assisted Living with memory care for future. First, the tour and experience was exceptional informative and let us meet with staff and residents to get honest feedback. Priceless. Activities and investment is spectacular-positive in there to get involved. Parents love it! Nursing staff is exceptional! Ever the maintenance has been spot on and positive- great attitude. I only have positive things to say!
