Brookdale

Food was generally excellent and nutritious. Nursing care and aides were friendly and competent while some were better than others, of course. Many activities and programs were offered and special occasions were marked with families invited to a really special meal. The only problem I had was that too many of the people living there were bed ridden or didn't want to leave their rooms at all or had some degree of dementia. These problems kept really stimulating activities to a minimum. However, in a wheel hair or on a walker, I'm sure I wasn't at my best either. I did go the art and craft sessions and attend all musical performances. Staying there was a seductive option as it was so easy. But PT and OT and health nurse all said I must go home, and they were right. I'm still acting like a hermit using long term care aides, but I'm getting better about seeing friends.

I would rate them 5 on everything. My brother passed away in October 2024. They could not have been more helpful and caring. Brookdale Murray was kept very clean. But the outstanding part of it was the staff. They really cared for my brother and went above and beyond expectations for not only for him but also my family.

My mother, now 96, has spent 8 years at [community removed] when she needed assisted living, and now perhaps 10 years at Brookdale Torbett just 1/4 mile away, where they helped to move her when her dementia caused her to need to be in a more controlled memory care environment. I cannot say enough for the management and staff of these facilities. Over this many years there have been plenty of opportunities for me to see any indication of a lack of care or caring, and I've seen none of that. Its unusual in such a small facility, but it isn't often that they don't have 3-4 caregivers on the floor working with the residents just on my mom's side of this relatively small facility. And my mother is in love with everyone who works there: caregivers, administrative staff, nursing & health & wellness staff, and management. Through the coronavirus, lots of other illnesses that routinely attack elder facilities, and normal day-to-day living, these people really care for their residents.

The place is clean, staff are wonderful and responsive as far as I can tell. I know my brother does not live the food and eats mostly in his apartment... but then he was always a super picky eater and now has other issues that make it worse. But he has enjoyed getting to know people there - the other residents are very nice. PT staff seems great, responsive, helpful. No complaints about HL .

In some ways [name removed] care exceeded what she recieves at home. Professional trained staff, curriculum, and accomodations geared toward dementia patients. Visitors are warmly welcomed and invited to stay if visiting over meal time. The sense of community and group activities are encouraged there. [name removed] also had an old friend residing there. The staff would keep them together for group activities. Even with all these benefits there's no place like home ,if you're able to stay there.

Everyone on staff was extremely pleasant and easy to work with for all the coordination of moving in and getting settled. I would recommend to others.

The staff at Brookdale Carriage Club have been amazing! They have been responsive, caring, friendly, and professional. My mother-in-law spent some time in skilled nursing when she was discharged from the hospital. The nurses there were so kind and attentive. Everyone on staff is helpful, from the security guards, to the front desk staff, to the PT's and home health. We have been very pleased!

I myself enjoy living here I've made many friends everyone here. very friendly Management and staff. I know that this is my last home and I'm very happy here. That being said of course there are things where they are working to better themselves with food ,maintenance, and housekeeping being down a few people.

Nice looking facility, showing some signs of age. Emphasis on activities a big plus. Executive administrator very responsive to any concerns. Also a very caring person toward residents. Staff turnover is probably comparable to any other facility. The top-down caring attitude is emphasized. Intervention and redirection are used by staff. Nursing care is excellent.

[name removed] was very thorough in presenting the facility as well as assisting our family in making a tough transition when needed. I highly recommend this staff as they seem to go above and beyond for the entire family.

[name removed] and [name removed] have really helped me to get my Father adjusted. Yes, we would recommend Brookdale Pinnacle to other families based on the experience so far.

Staffing at the community is top notch! At the community there are multiple team members that have been employed 5 years or longer. One of the staff members has been there for 26 years! That says a lot about Brookdale North Augusta. Recent renovations to the community with new paint, siding and new furniture! Beautiful!

Building and grounds are kept clean. There's been a lot of recent facility upgrades. Staff is exceptional, from the Director, who is hands-on and VERY involved in daily operations, to the Housekeeping Staff and Maintenance crew. Dining room is first-rate, and food selection/quality is excellent. The range of activities can keep residents very busy seven days a week, if they choose to partake. Prices for individual apartments are surprisingly affordable.

Well, the staff is courteous and attentive. I haven't seen a lot of turnover and it's nice to see the same faces day after day. That gives dad a good sense of continuity. They're very good about calling if his health conditions changed or he has a fall. They're very good at keeping me updated. I get to visit two or three times a week and I just see his room, clean his laundry done and I can tell by the staff's reaction to him that they have a nice rapport. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Only drawback is lack of licensed nurses after 7 pm. So if needs help with bedtime medication it's not available and meds have to be taken early. Staff great, very caring and supportive of both resident and family. I would recommend. My sister in law just ended up needing additional services fairly quickly after moving in

The staff is wonderful, the residents are welcoming and there are so many activities to chose from. I definitely would recommend A Place for Mom. It was so helpful.

Phenomenal staff. Always available to answer any questions or concerns. Rooms are a great size.

Very bright and cheerful. No bad smells. Has a library. Staff is helpful and will let you know how your relative is doing . Food is pretty good. You can bring in food for a party.per friendly. Have a lot of programs for the person staying there and also for the family
