Brookdale

We are very happy with Brookdale of Brighton. My father-in-law is thriving there. He's making friends and enjoying all that it has to offer which is a complete comfort to our family. He recently lost his spouse of 50+ years on [date removed] and as much as he misses her he's actually enjoying himself. I feel Brookdale is clean, the staff is friendly and very attentive to his needs. They personalize the community and as a family we are very happy with our decision to have chosen Brookdale of Brighton. Oh and he loves the food!!!

The community is friendly, clean, well maintained and better than home! I feel very safe and welcome here. The staff is very accommodating! The activities and programming keep us very busy, if you’re bored, it’s your own fault! I wish I could give Brookdale Glen Ellyn 5+ stars!

Our experience with Brookdale Deland has been very positive. The staff is very hard working, patient and caring. The attendants, the nursing staff, general administrator and marketing director have all made an effort to welcome my husband and facilitate his placement and residency in their memory care unit. The building and rooms are kept very clean and the meals are enjoyed by all the residents. The staff has open lines of communication day and night and coordinates with hospice to ensure his care. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Deland Memory Care to any family in need.

My experience here at Brookdale has been great. I have never experienced a finer place to stay. All areas of the operation in far above anything I have ever experience. I am a retired hospital Corps. Man of the Navy and worked in several hospital and potion care units. This far exceeds anything I have experience. The staff is well trained and very efficient. I recommend this as the best

I would give each category a 5! My husband is well cared for and loved there! Gives me peace of mind! We would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience! Everything about that place is top notch! The staff is wonderful, caring, kind, competent and very patient! They even helped decorate for my husbands birthday recently!

It is great, we love it, highly recommend, staff is down to earth and very welcoming. Night and day from our experience at Somerby. Residents are awesome and very kind. My mom felt at home from the day she got there. Food could use some improving but overall it is a wonderful very homey place to be. [name removed](sales) and [name removed] (the director) are incredible to work with.

Although its assisted living, it is safer to me than normal assisted living, being that it's a locked unit. You can't get in or out without a staff member opening the door. My grandma has early dementia, so that's perfect for her. She has the freedom of assisted living, but the safety of a memory care type unit so she can't wander out if it came to that. The building is smaller, being only 35-40 apartments, compared to others I looked at, which were hundreds of units. It's very clean, all the staff is very friendly, and it seems like they care about the people living there. So far, my impression has been great, and visiting with my grandma, she says the same.

Appreciate the help with finding my mother a place feels like home.

I moved to Brookdale in May 2024 to be near my daughters as I aged. But I needed a community with many activities and my daughters found Brookdale for me. I am extremely happy here and as my health status changed Brookdale provided all the assistance I needed.

Staff is very attentive. Activities are very well planned. I believe that the tenants taste the food and it needs some work.

All 5s. I really like it there. Good communication from the family is important.

Activities Director is unfilled position. Resident complains about food. Caring staff, accepts spend down Medicaid patients, excellent med and nursing staff.

It was not clear to me when we visited that the facility does not accept Medicaid. If my parents had stayed there, they would have had to transfer to another facility when they no longer could afford private pay. It would help if that was made clear upon first call/visit

Staff- Organized, helpful, responsive, Caring. They are so on top of things and do a great job welcoming new folks. Facility is older but well kept up. Have plenty of rooms suited for different activities and the pub is cool.

Very friendly staff and the facility is kept immaculate. My mom was always clean and happy when we went to visit her. They took great care of her while she was there. However, she was not fond of the food.

Brookdale was very clean! Everyone was really nice and helpful and they offered several fun activities to choose from. My Dad especially enjoyed the food. I wish he would've been there for more than a week and a half to enjoy it more.
