Brookdale

Everyday staff is amazing. The office personnel and sales personnel, communicated quickly and efficiently with every question and issue we've encountered so far, (3 weeks in). The cafeteria has awesome food and a great variety of choices for every meal! The only letdown so far is the 10 hours of free maintenance assistance during move-in. It turned out more hassle scheduling than the need. Figuring out all the perks is a bit confusing in the beginning, but I think we will get it.

[name removed] and all of the staff at Brookdale have been and are to be commended for their hard work and attention to the tenants. Those living there too have been loving and receptive to [name removed] and us as well. The facility and community living there make it easy to say, I would highly recommend them to any and all who choose to live there.

When we knew it was time to find alternative care for our mom, we reached out to A Place for Mom. They were prompt with a response and were very informative as to what was available, locations nearby, and pricing. They even offered to line up a visit for us. We knew Brookdale Weatherford would possibly be a good fit for our mom. Our initial visit was thorough and they even fed us lunch! It was delicious. I’m so glad we made this decision and I’m thankful for the assistance we received through A Place for Mom. Brookdale is perfect. Once our mom moved in, I swear she got younger! Her spirits lifted and she said she felt like she was home. I would recommend Brookdale Weatherford to anyone.

The food is good, not much of a variety. I think the price at all of the facilities is outrageous. I have had some issues with some of my billings, but they were resolved after questioning them. I would, recommend this community to others, but be prepared for the cost. My husband is being well cared for, the people that work there in all capacities couldn't be nicer.

I would give them a 5. They are doing a great job taking care of my mom. She has severe dementia and they are able to help her stay reasonably calm and comfortable as she goes through this final stage of her life.

Brookdale's facility/staff are very friendly, helpful in any way they can be. Not just to the residents but each other, too.

My mom shared that she felt it was cozy and Homie. I also have received positive support from staff in dealing with getting her settled and adjusted. I appreciate the open communication. I'm sharing their contact information with me so that I can check in and ask questions.

[name removed] was a big help, also giving us contacts of locations really helpful. This has worked out well at Brookdale Senior Living for our mom. The search for all the living communities was helpful. Brookdale also has spend down to Medicaid.

Staff are friendly and get to know their residents well. If caring for your loved one isn't an option, this is the next best thing. My parents have complained that the food has been cold multiple times. I think they should focus on lower carb meals. But I know they have budgets.

My mom has lived at Brookdale for almost a year and a half and absolutely Loves Loves this place and all the people who live there and all the people that work there. She went in to Brookdale on hospice and then got better and went to home health and then got better and now is absolutely living her best life!! She wouldn’t go back home for anything. I have never seen her so happy in years. My family and I are so Thankful for [name removed] and the entire staff at Brookdale we Love each and every one there!

My mom has been at Brookdale Winston-Salem for several years. Her Alzheimer’s has progressed and is now severe. Throughout her illness, Brookdale has taken excellent care of her. The staff there truly cares about the residents, learning their personalities and caring for them. We are thankful that they get them up, dressed and out of their rooms for the day and keep them busy with activities.. We are so incredibly thankful for Brookdale.

The staff to resident ratio is perfect. Someone is always close by to assist with any needs or questions. All the staff is compassionate and respectful to the residents

My mother is being well taken care of and is making some friends. She eats well, has support if she needs it and I know she's safe. They are always helpful, kind, and go the extra mile. There were some hiccups at the start, but nothing that hasn't been worked out. We are very pleased with everything so far.

It's been a good place. Keeps them busy. Everyone is so personable. [name removed] I believe he is the administrator of the Troy Brookdale and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy. I think the meal, room/apartment sizes are all good!

Be sure to have as many conversations with as many staff members as possible on visits. I visited 4 places and chose Brookdale because of how available and approachable the entire staff was on my visits. Speaks volumes about the commitment to care for their residents.

Good: Cleanliness Niceness of staff Security Assistant with daily activities (washing clothes, fixing minor issues) Dining reminders. Staff know everyone by first name. Bad: Sometimes it takes a while to get in/out of the secured building because no one is manning the door in the later hours. More informational seminars would be helpful for the residents

Our family was forced to make several difficult decision earlier than we thought we would have to. There are so many factors that you don’t even know are there until they’re staring you in the face and they must be addressed immediately. The knowledgeable, friendly, competent and, most of all, caring staff at Brookdale were a stabilizing factor in a very difficult time. I just can’t say enough about Blake and his team. [name removed] and [name removed] and the whole staff are just awesome. Mom and Dad are settled in now and are enjoying great quality of life with a great crew of residents.

[name removed] really grew to love it there at Brookdale Lake Charles. The staff are very welcoming to clients and family. Hired new staff in kitchen , food have really stepped up. Get together for family and clients with meal and social . Assist family who live away to stay connected to the family member.

[name removed] and [name removed] in assisted living are some of the most caring and decent people I have ever met! All the staff touch exceptional care of my mom.
