Brookdale

I recently visited my mom. I found the staff helpful, cheerful and warm. From what I could see all the people seemed well taken care of. The issue with the food - breakfast is good, lunch is ok and dinner is not good. Either a repeat of meals from days gone by not, tasting good, watery in some cases.

Brookdale was excellent. They are really great people. From this first meeting to the final departure, they were loving and caring. I'm so thankful for their thoughtfulness toward me and my family and so grateful for taking such good care of mom.

The only thing my Uncle [name removed] has complained about recently is kitchen/dining room staff turn over. I think he gets attached to people and ways of doing things and at one point he said the kitchen staff all got fired or something and it was taking a long time to get served. But who knows with him... he has been known to exaggerate. Anyways, We are still very pleased with [name removed] care. Whenever we pick him up for appointments he is always very upbeat and positive and looks and acts very well cared for. At this time we have 100% satisfaction with [name removed] living at Brookdale.

Brookdale Smithfield was awesome. They treated my Mom great. They had a lot of activities for the residents and everyone was very caring. My Mom passed away on [date removed] but I will always be grateful for everything they did for her. Yes, I would absolutely recommend Brookdale Smithfield to anyone with a loved one that needs to go to an assisted living facility.

I could not have found a better place. The staff is wonderful very helpful and always smiling. The care is wonderful my Mother fell in her room and she had an alert necklace on and they responded immediately. Activities are awesome My mother is doing more than before. Food is good I have personally eaten there my self. She lives in a 1 bedroom apt that is very spacious The bedroom is big enough for a queen size bed, nightstand and a large dresser. The living room hold a full size couch and a recliner.

We had to move Mom into an assisted living facility. After visiting and considering numerous facilities in Lubbock, ranging from high-end communities to more moderate options, we ultimately selected Brookdale at Remington Park. The main reason we chose Brookdale was its size. It isn’t too large, and it has a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. The rooms are very nice and have a private, secluded feel. The interior is well maintained, as are the exterior grounds. Most importantly, the staff has been very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Everyone has made us feel comfortable about having Mom there, and we are very pleased with our decision.

I can not say enough about the loving care my brother received from the staff, nurses and hospice team. He was treated with love and dignity even when his illness caused adverse behavior. They understood that it was the disease and not my brother. We found the room size to be very nice and the cleanliness was pretty good. The facility was very nice and building and grounds were well kept. My brother seemed to enjoy the food. My brother's diagnosis of Primary Progressive Aphasia is not a very common disease but [names removed] all worked together to find the best care and changed medication as needed as the disease progressed. My family can recommend Brookdale Grand Blanc Memory Care without reservation.

The memory care building is absolutely adorable!! There are a lot of rooms too. And the outside is fenced in so residents can sit outside without worrying about anyone trying to leave. Staff is great too! They all know I'm [name removed] daughter. Super friendly. The apt is a little smaller but perfect for her.

It was a great overall experience and they really cared for my mom compassionately at the end of her life. Room size was good, we had a studio and it was the perfect size. Mom didn't eat the food very much, but she stopped eating as she was dying, so it's hard to tell if it was the food or if she was just going through her natural process. The activities and entertainment was good, we liked Motown Mary the best. [name removed], director of marketing was phenomenal and so was [name removed], director of nursing. They both went above and beyond in every way to care for Mom. [name removed], one of the med techs, was also a standout and absolutely wonderful to my mom.

Staff here are wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and well maintained. Apartment size is adequate for our needs.

The sales rep was very friendly, answered all our questions, gave us a tour, and did not give us a hard sell. The facility seemed very nice to us. All in all, a pleasant interview.

I would rate them 5 stars for what they offer for independent living. This a more minimal amenities facility. The staff is willing to work with you for a great living experience. I live in a large 1 bedroom apartment that's 850 sq. ft. Great room.

I give this place 5 stars. Everyone that works there is nice and very understanding. He gets his own 1 bedroom apt. and still gets the care that he needs. Lots of things to do. Beautiful outdoors for sitting around and taking in the nice grounds. I would definitely recommend this place, its great place to be doing something or just relaxing. Its very welcoming and the residents are very kind.

Thanks to the guide, the tour was great. Everything was explained well and in detail. Nothing was missed on the walk through. There is an abundance of amenities. I loved the apartment room sizes, kitchen set up and bathroom shower. The small screened in patio was a welcome sight. I wasn't feeling comfortable with being included with the step up to assisted living program. This is a community I would consider except that the price range was above my means.

The staff are friendly and professional, and they always make me feel at home when I come to visit my relative. Overall, the establishment is a great place, and I’m very happy with the care and welcoming atmosphere.

5 stars! The staff was excellent, the facilities were clean, and the surroundings felt warm and homey. [name removed] stayed at Brookdale for three or four months before returning home. She says that once she settles her affairs and sells her house, she hopes to return to Brookdale. I also want to say that your services at A Place for Mom were truly a gift from God. All of a sudden, I was introduced to a whole new world of options and resources. Within just 15 minutes of my call, I had several options available close to my home. “Thank you” doesn’t even begin to convey how much I appreciate your help, guidance, and kindness during what was a very overwhelming time. I am incredibly grateful for the support you provided.

I would rate every category as a 5. Highly satisfied with her care!! Much appreciated and we worry much less about her. I especially feel when she has an issue medically they address the situation quickly and call us which we did not have with her other provider. I don't think she's participated in activities yet but did mention that she may play bingo this week. At home she was very isolated, so being around more people has benefited her well being. She has commented many times that she loves the food, especially since she actually gets real fresh fruit (not at other provider.)

I go to Brookdale to see how my mom is doing, she has memory loss and in her upper 90's. she is well cared for, gets plenty of rest & really likes her deserts. Her room is clean & she is comfortable and feels safe. My family and I feel welcome when we visit, they have a friendly staff and I feel comfortable having her stay there. THANKS

We appreciated our tour of the facility and the festive welcome get-together. We also enjoyed the great luncheon we were treated to. Everyone there, staff and residents, were all very pleasant and helpful with Q&A. Lovely facililty. We are doing research of retirement/assisted living facilities in Jacksonville. This is probably the A+ number 1 of the group.
