Brookdale

Very clean and inviting.

The staff has been wonderful to my mother. They also made it very easy for me to transition mother into Brookdale. It was one of the hardest things to do. I would recommend to anyone!

My Dad is happy and healthy and enjoys himself. I could not be more satisfied.

5 stars across the board! The staff and many of the residents warmly welcomed us at move-in, and they’ve been incredibly supportive during her first month. The apartments are a great size and perfectly suited for the residents’ ages. We couldn’t be happier with our experience so far!

[name removed] did a wonderful job explaining everything and answering all of our questions. The memory care unit was cozy and personable. So refreshing after seeing a big impersonal facility. The staff knows each resident and their preferences. They truly seem to care. This is the kind of place I was looking for.

Touring this facility was very nice. Tour associate was very knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciated the respect towards Veterans. The tour room looked very nice and was easy to see how furniture we have could fit in the room. I appreciated the associate listening to myself and my parent.

Since Mom was there only a short 2 months before passing, I was there only a few times. However, I can say the room was an adequate size and it, as well as the large bathroom, was kept very clean. Every time I was there someone was cleaning something. The place was immaculate. The food was very good and a sizeable portion. They had activities for those that were physically or mentally able to join. They have several different sitting areas as well as TVs. Their grounds were beautiful and entryway was filled with flowers. The aides and/or nurses had the patience of saints. I believe my Mother had the best of care in her final days.

This is such a nice place. Several friends reside here and love it. Caring and attentive staff and great activities offered to serve this community. Top notch facility.

Care services and the activities - To early to know, but I have no concerns at this time. It is bright and airy, that was the first thing I noticed. It is SPOTLESS. That was the second thing I noticed. The Dining Room is pretty and comfortable. The people are alllllll friendly. Everyone I have encountered there is helpful and kind. My mother reports that everyone is very nice to her. She also likes the food. I look forward to her branching out with some activities.

It feels like family...everyone including the residents are so caring and friendly. Yes we would recommend Brookdale Dowlen Oaks to other families.

The staff were all extremely welcoming, helpful and patient.

I would give a 5 to everything except Activities because our loved one is not a joiner and doesn't participate. I know that the staff encourages participation. The staff is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I think that every level, resident care is the focus of what they do. The architecture of the building offers lots of natural light and a sense of airiness.

It is bright with a warm feeling atmosphere. All the staff have been friendly and welcoming.

I would rate Brookdale a 5 stars. My mother was there for rehabilitation services after a fall. The Comfort Care staff and others were awesome. I feel that the positive environment helped with her rehab. I would highly recommend Brookdale to others. Our overall experience was positive and my mother enjoyed her stay at Brookdale.

They have helped my mom feel comfortable and welcomed. We would most definitely recommend this community to others. This was a hard decision for us but my mom had fallen a couple of times and we were getting worried about her safety. The move into Brookdale went very smoothly. The staff were very friendly and helpfully which made my mom comfortable in the transition. She is involved in the activities and meeting new people. She loves it there.

My father was recently at this facility for rehabilitation. The staff was very supportive of our family’s efforts to celebrate his birthday in tough circumstances. Now that my mother is also seriously ill, we are close to making a decision to move them to assisted living. A smaller community like this could meet their needs well, though the apartments themselves could use some updates. The location is also very convenient for us.

Many things stood out, but the one that is most impressive to me is how pleased my sister-in-law is with her new life at Brookdale. The friendliness of the staff when I toured the facility, is why I chose them.
