Brookdale

I love the food. There are always lots of choices for food & beverages. At dinner there is beer & wine. There is a movie daily which I look up to see if it interests me. They have concerts which haven't always liked because they play unfamiliar songs that they wrote. They have resident meetings monthly where you can discuss concerns with resident council & administrator. They have free tax prep if your income qualifies. They have a podiatrist & optometrist come monthly. They have transportation 7 days per week. They have field trips. This month it's the Steinbeck Museum. I am very happy here unlike where I used to live.

More physical therapy and socialization. Most interact with the patients [name removed] the director of memory care is fantastic and is a great role model for the rest of the staff

The staff was wonderful. Did not like the responsiveness of the nurse & pharmacy service on entry--balls were dropped and went several days without meds & dr appt, balls were dropped & I had to drive questions etc. Got much better. There were also billing issues. [name removed]handled them well but there was a real lack of response from accounting/main office. Ultimately we left because my aunt was being a tool. No reflection on staff/facilities. Meals were good but some needed more budgeted to improve quality a bit. Needed a little more staff. Caring for residents & answering doors stretched them too thin most days.

My sister lives in Henderson and she can get to Brookdale Sr Living most days to see daddy. I would be happy to recommend this community to other families based on our experience so far.

They are beyond helpful. They are kind and caring and treat everyone equally well. They also make me feel young(er)!

My mother has been a resident at Brookdale Champions for nearly 10 years, moving in during her late 80s. We initially chose this community because it was close to me, her daughter, and honestly knew little about assisted living—it felt like a leap of faith. Looking back, it’s been a true blessing. Her needs have been met with care and compassion. Brookdale Champions offers activities that keep her mentally, physically, and socially engaged, and she’s formed great friendships. The caregivers, staff, and leadership genuinely care and continually strive to provide excellent care. No situation is perfect, especially when caring for elderly residents with unique needs, but Brookdale always tries to make her feel valued and cared for. I visit almost daily and see firsthand the effort and warmth that make this not just a facility, but her home.

1 very good experience. 2 the group spaces were kept very clean. We didn't have them really do regular cleaning because of her condition 3. Staff was very friendly 4. I feel the quality of care was good. Since my Mom was on hospice we also had them in and they coordinated well 5. [name removed] the administrator, went out of her way to assist us 6 & 7. My Mom didn't eat their food and didn't participate in activities 8. [name removed] did with the price based on my Mom's condition

Brookdale Avondale staff are some of the kindest, most welcoming people I've ever met, especially in the medical field. [name removed], the Sales Rep was so kind and genuine from from the beginning and the same kind person every time I see him. They truly get it! That's not just some elderly person that needs a place to stay...she's my mama! My heart! [name removed], the Health and Wellness Director. From the day she met my mother and me for the evaluation, she was so kind and so gentle. You could tell from the start that her heart is in it and that she truly loves her residents. (I'm not quite sure when she eats or sleeps because she always seems to be there at Brookdale.) I know I must drive her crazy with calls and texts, but she never lets it show and that's comforting. [name removed], Executive Director, she's been so kind and helpful with question and paperwork that mama' long term care insurance requires. I was so confused trying to fill out the forms myself and when I reached out for assistance she didn't hesitate to sit right down and help me. That really means a lot to. And when mama was in the hospital she and [name removed] reached out to check on her. The facility is very nice, but the people that work there make it cozy and welcoming! I haven't met a staff member yet that wasn't kind and caring.

I loved the fact that they have a concierge's doctor available for that facility included in the price Also my brother who has worked in the estate sale business for over 35 years here in town was extremely impressed with the people at Brookdale. He said he would've easily worked there because he loves elderly people so much and he felt that was the best place for mom That they were also so wonderful especially [name removed]his name is [name removed]. he in fact went on their website to give them an excellent review.

Residents are very welcoming and kind, they want to include us. The rooms are redone before you move in, they offer so much help to get your things organized and just the way you want them, the staff is amazing. They are working on vegetarian options for meals.

I feel qualified to give a review on nursing facilities having had experience with my parents at different times and now my husband. My husband has Alzheimer's and numerous other medical problems. I kept him at home for 5 years, | couldn't continue. My daughter and I went to check out several nursing homes in the area. We made the decision to admit him to Brookdale Assisted Living in Richland Hills. We could not have made a better choice. I told them that he would not participate in any activities, would stay in his recliner and take all his meals in his room. They said we will see. I can't believe the change in him. He participates in all the activities. Eats at the dining facility and stays out of his room hours at a time. He is happy, tells me they take good care of him, which they do. I have a camera and can see 24/7. The facility is clean and they really do care about their residents. When he had to be hospitalized, they were calling checking on him and even came to see him. We tried rehab at a different facility after he was hospitalized, but moved him back to Brookdale. He was miserable. He was so happy to return. His health has actually improved since he was admitted.

[name removed] who showed me around and helped us get in was awesome. She went above and beyond. The staff has been wonderful. The transition has been so much better than I anticipated. They have done so much to make my mom feel at home.

The Executive Director and her staff have always responded quickly, honestly and professionally to all my questions, requests, correspondence and concerns and are readily available. All are friendly and receptive. The nurses, aides and med techs have all taken good care of my Mom and responded favorably to doctors' correspondence, communication and instructions. They are also friendly and knowledgeable. The entertainment function does a super job of keeping the residents busy with games, bible studies, church services, Spanish lessons and reading material. They also provide professional entertainment from outside the facility. I have attended several of the outside entertainment activities and they are very enjoyable. My Mom really enjoys the activities mentioned. Residents are periodically taken outside the facility for shopping and entertainment. Overall, this facility and their employees have done an excellent job taking care of my Mom and corresponding with me.

I love the staff and their attentiveness to the patients and yes I would recommend this community to other families.

What we like the most about Brookdale Littleton is the kind and helpful staff. They listen to thoughts, ideas and concerns. They took wonderful care of our mother in law. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had.

Great experience with Brookdale Champions for my loved ones. You can feel and see the care that the team has for their residents. Great location and beautiful landscaping. They have enjoyed engaging in the activities on a daily basis.

They are very friendly and accommodating. Everything was explained thoroughly as to the care my mom received. Apartments were a nice size. My mom had a studio that was spacious. She took advantage of the amenities (exercise classes, musical guests, salon).

First off mom is at the Meadowvista community and as to the quality 5 across the board. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the community feels very inviting like a warm blanket out of the dryer on a cold day Apartments in the assisted living section of the facility are decent with many floor plans and the amenities are numerous.

Brookdale was wonderful in taking care of my husband. Unfortunately he passed away on [date removed] due to complications from aspiration pneumonia. They seemed to care about my husband. He was a stubborn crotchety old man that didn't like to be messed with and from what I saw they handled him well. He always thanked them when they were finished doing whatever.

The facility is small, one story with a homey feel. It is on a nice side street so no traffic or congestion, peaceful surroundings. Friendly atmosphere and staff. They know all of the residents and take an interest in them.
