Brookdale

Moving Mom to Brookdale was the best decision we have made for her. She receives daily care and has daily activities in the memory care unit. All of the staff are caring and gentle with her. She is happy so we are happy.

A place for mom found BROOKDALE and I had an on-site visit within a couple days. BROOKDALE itself turned out to be the finest retirement facility I've ever seen. I would feel good about my own mother living there, if it became necessary. So I would highly recommend A place for MOM and BROOKDALE

My mom said the food is OK but she needs to remember it is a large amount of food for a large amount of people and not a home-cooked meal for two people. She said the activities director is phenomenal and there is always something going on. I am most impressed that they have a new director overall and she has reached out to me a couple of times to ask how my mom's doing and what they could do better.

Both the staff and residents seem happy. We get "hello's" as we walk thru the building from both. Our loved one feels very secure and comfortable. It is very comforting knowing the staff is looking out for our families best interests.

It is kept super clean. We have activities that include crafts, games, movies, etc. Some inside and some outside depending on the weather. We get housekeeping once a week and activities of daily living as needed.

The staff are friendly and supportive of residents. Room is spacious and cozy. Plenty of activities for everyone!

They are all a 5. No complaints what soever. It's an exceptional place. Would recommend it over and over. My mom absolutely loves it there. So happy I found such a place. The staff are amazing. The facility is very clean. There are 2 dining rooms with many entrees to choose from. They have courtyards and different areas for activities. They have a calendar with different activities. They have a vehicle to take them to stores, restaurants, or country drives. They do their laundry, give them their pills. You can bring your own furniture or they provide it. The staff is very friendly and help them with anything. There is an exercise room, a beauty salon, and a foot doctor comes to the facility.

We are not sure about the activities - our Dad is unable to participate in many things. What we like the most about Brookdale Chandler is the warmth of the community. The staff from the caregivers to the director. The studio apartment with the alcove was the favorite unit we saw among all the properties we visited. #1 is their willingness to stay in contact with my sister and I regarding our father's care, who is a new resident with many needs. We live 1500 miles away.

I would rate them all a 5. We have been very pleased with Kingsley. The staff, administrative on down, are always friendly and d professional. My mother has done well there, compliments the food and staff a lot. The facility is always clean, quiet and well run whenever we drop by. I notice there are lots of activities available. She has not been able to participate much, but they are available.

The staff are very friendly and kind. The residents love them. They are knowledgeable about how to work with individuals with a variety of impairments.

Brookdale Oceanside is a nice place. chose this place because of the price and location.

Staff: They have always, that I know of, to help him and communicate with him. They've gone as far as to write notes to communicate with him whether in the facility or an outing. They've gone try to keep an eye on him to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary physically or health wise. They have shopping days mainly once a week and other outings as they come up. As of right now, knowing how he is and the staff is, I'd give them a 10 out of 10. Facilities: The areas we've seen have been clean and well maintained. The food is good for the individuals who live there and for those who visit. I would classify it as average food. Those who eat out a lot may say otherwise. The facility is located by a lake that has a walking trail for those who want to partake in it. That would go for those in wheelchairs too. They have their own mailboxes, access to a barber/beautician by appointment, basic medical staff for minor medical needs, etc. I would give it a 10 also based on other facilities we've seen in various cities in Texas, from Houston to Wichita Falls.

I'm waiting to get older so I'm eligible. The accessibility to things that I might need help with is what stuck out over other places.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Cleanliness of facility. Happy residents. Spontaneous interactions between all levels of staff and residents. The atmosphere was truly one of family

What we like the most about Brookdale Port Charlotte is the friendly environment and we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

The staff is so incredibly patient and polite! These folks are gems! Facility has everything you'd need! I'm 61 and already looking forward to moving in there! One bedroom apartment is small but not too small. Great closet space. Had to add storage drawers is bathroom but can't be built in for handicap purposes.

Love this place. Staff is so friendly and so are residents. Food is great and so many activities to choose from. Also a pool and jacuzzi. Feels like home.

My experience with Brookdale Sarasota Midtown was a bright spot during a rather dim time. We had multiple family crises happening all at once, and needing to find the right memory care for mom during all of it seemed like an impossible task. I was feeling really overwhelmed, but the staff at Brookdale Sarasota Midtown understood and sprung into action to help lessen the stress. Brookdale Sarasota is a pretty, homey feeling place, that’s clean and well maintained. The staff were all helpful, and what I noted in particular about the staff was the longevity of their tenure at Brookdale Midtown. Many have been there over 10 years, and some far longer than that. I got mom moved in and settled quickly. Knowing she was in good hands, allowed me to focus on continuing to help my family.

I liked the design of the building, lots of porches and windows, light. Everybody was very friendly and sought to be helpful.

Tour was nice. Lots of positive information. Staff pleasant.
