This place is smoke and mirrors. I would NEVER entrust someone I loved to them ever again. We did a surprise visit and were appalled. We pulled her out the next day without hesitation. My grams was being served coffee which she wasn’t allowed to have for health reasons and they knew that. Her socks hadn’t been changed in I don’t know how long they were heavy they were so full of dead skin. Her teeth hadn’t been brushed in again I don’t know how long but a mouth should never smell like that. Her depends were to small and no one notified us to change her size. Her legs were swollen from not being elevated enough. They were supposed to encourage her to walk and she was just left in a chair all the time. And to top it all off she had such a bad UTI you could smell it standing beside her. Her condition they allowed her to live in brought me to tears. We took her to a doctor the next day to confirm and clear up her horrible infection. If you DONT CARE at all about your loved one send them here. It “looks” nice and they put on smiles in front of you but they DO NOT take care of your loved ones. BE WARNED.

This is the perfect care facility if you want to [Removed] your loved one and be assured they will receive substandard treatment and be over medicated (without your consent) to control their Dementia/Alzheimer’s issues. Staff will allow your loved one (who suffered sundowners) to wake up another resident in the middle of the night and then be charged with [Removed] and forced to receive psychiatric treatment based on the word of the other resident with no witnesses. Then after the family moves them to another care facility and they pass you will get a packet of unopened mail from Bickford including correspondence from the State of Michigan seven months later regarding a court case that was missed because the notices were not sent to family. They want model residents only and be prepared for nothing but problems if your loved one has any issues from their disease. Quite a contradiction from an organization that claims to specialize in memory care problems and if your loved one was able to care for themselves family would never have considered them in the first place!

This place is absolutely horrible staff puts on a front as if they care for your loved ones but are concerned only with money employees a horrible staff of caregivers violating many state policies and regulations.

We put our mother in this facility thinking that they really cared for her and us. However, we didn't realize that after they got us to sign the paperwork and got her moved in that they would reevaluate her care level and increased our price by over 60% overnight!!! (And they don't let you see the point scale they use. All smoke and mirrors!) This place has been in a perpetual state of change in their personnel and we never know who is leaving next. A Very unstable and untrustworthy place. Don't make the same mistake we did! Keep looking or it could end up costing you dearly.

I wouldn't have my dog live at Bickford Of Greenwood they have a scabies out break going on and has been going on for a couple of months and it's not been cleared up yet. Employees ended up taking it home to their families. And they informed them to get cream from tractor supply so they wouldn't need to pay the price of the medicine. They have CNA'so sleep on night shift and they do nothing and fire or make those who report it uncomfortable so that they leave. The director has come in during nights to "work" because they fired a nurse who told them what was happening, but she was nothing more than just a body in the building. She was in her office all night sleeping in a sleeping bag.

I would NEVER recommend this place. I stayed there for about a month: 1. The room call buttons either often didn't work, or they often didn't show up to answer them (even when they saw I was seriously sick!). 2. They forgot my meals 3 times ( I got the meals in my room). 3. It took 2 weeks for them to present my paperwork to sign, and answer my questions (on basics like when are meals, laundry done, etc). I requested that info often. 4. Many times, I requested copies of all the papers I had signed. A couple of days before I left, they only gave me some of those copies. 5. My bill was incorrectly calculated. 6. Numerous other incidences, for which I got constant lack of communication and many excuses, from the local and corporate staff. 7. There were a few GOOD things: Very clean, and fabulous homemade meals by the 2 chefs!

My poor grandma is like a prisoner on the 2nd floor of their dark, dingy, urine-stench-filled Memory Care unit. They try to tell us that she goes down for activities but they're lying. Every time we visit (frequent and various days & times) she is always just sitting in a chair and staring. Not interacted with or stimulated at all. Not at all what was promised to us. And the smell is just horrid!!!! Sometimes it literally takes your breath away. I feel so bad for her that she is stuck there!! :(

Looks Good from the outside but when you get your family member there its not what it says it is, had my mother in law here for only 3mo she had issuse with her meds and they didnt notify the family till days later that she wouldnt take her meds, she only had one bath (that I gave her) while staying here and we paid extra for them to assest her in taking one(sometimes you would have to talk her into taking one) they would ask her if she refused they wouldnt even try again until the next week I asked them about it the nurse in her own words( see that man over there he hasnt a bath in a month)at that moment I knew we chose the wrong place so if you have a family member at this place you really need to check there charts to see if your family member has had a bath.

Jennifer, salesperson, very deceitful and will say anything to make a sale. My mom was put in a shared room with a mean, angry and rude woman who had been kicked out of another facility. Before we moved in, I was introduced to the roommate who was nice, but on move in day we're given someone else. The nursing staff witnessed the roommates bad behavior and assured me they would speak to Jennifer about moving my mom. Jennifer would not listen to my family or her own staff and we had to stay in this room until I could find a new home for my mom. Originally, Jennifer promised me that if the roommate situation didn't work we'd be given a new room; however, when we had problems Jennifer said there was a 10 person waiting list and offered no solution other than leaving. I was promised a full refund, but as of today I'm still receiving bills from Bickford. My mom was also missing some of her medications as the staff hadn't ordered all of her medications from there pharmacy prior to our arrival. For several days my mom wasn't getting all of her medications. I feared for my mom's health while we were there and I wouldn't recommend this AWFUL place to anyone.

This community was horrendous. They only things that were clean were the carpet and the bathroom floor. It seems like if you did not go in there and clean up it would not get down. We had several issues with them from the beginning. It seems like their way to care for the residents is by medication and would prefer to keep them medicated. The food was good and there were a few good care givers but the rest was just not good at all. The staff was unprofessional at times and would call at different hours of the night so that we would talk to our loved one. They seemed to not be able to handle the situations that presented themselves so they would contact us. They had told us they would be able to take care of them with no problems but that proved to be wrong. They say they provide a service but there is not follow through. They do not deliver on what they promise. We would not recommend this community to anyone.

No 2 bed, 2 bath apartments.
