Very caring. Very dark facility. Desperate need more natural light

We have our 84 year parent at Bickford- we are overall satisfied with the care- however their are areas Of concern- that we have experienced - 1) HOUSEKEEPING-2) LAUNDRY-3) DIRECTOR OF NURSING-( BLONDO LOCATION) - housekeeping- the upkeep of my parents room- not maintained or per incident cleaned up. Laundry- other residents items mixed in with ours- and items lost / missing! Director of nursing- who oversees our parents well being- a STRONG disconnect - not engaged- and neglegent in making sure He has his Proper medications and supplies - which in turn could result into a life or death situation!! Also his needed Medical accessories on a daily basis - have yet to be found!!

I went on a tour here and the staff was nice. The community was nice too. They answered all of my questions. It was only about 15 years old and there has been no updates and the carpet is worn out. It was clean and kept up it just wasn't a good fit for my friends.

While looking at various options for my loved one, we toured this facility. The feeling kind of has a traditional nursing home atmosphere. They called it a memory care but there seemed to be no designated area for memory care. We also didn’t seem people out and about which made it seem very isolated. My loved one would have to walk a long way to go to eat her meals and she is not much of a walker. The also seemed to be very pushy and wanted us to sign papers that day. Of course we went ahead and selected a different property.

I toured here with my mom and from what I saw, they seemed okay. They had home cooked meals (which looked good) and the staff was attentive. I noticed that they didn’t have an activity area though so it didn’t have a bunch of games or puzzles for people to work on and that was a concern because we’ve been wanting to try and keep my Dad as active as he’ll let us. In the end, mom and I decided that they were more about getting people in than actually caring for them. The people we were talking to felt more like salesmen than caregivers.

The staff here did a very nice job with my tour here, they took their time showing me around and they answered all my questions. This is a nice community but I just didn't think it was the right fit for my husband.

Older facility, but clean. HAs good accessory services. Staff is not as well trained and currently hiring. The facility is currently full

The staff was great at this location very attentive and caring. The place looked good very clean but the rooms gave the feeling of an old nursing home feel. Very sterile nothing that made you feel welcome. and comfortable.

From what we saw on our tour of the Bickford of Carmel, the community looked nice and clean, beautiful apartments but rather small, the staff was nice, and our questions were answered. It was a nice experience, but it wasn't the right fit for and we felt that the move-in fee was more than we wanted to pay.

This is nice community, and our tour of it went well overall.

My mother is doing alright with her move to this community. It isn't the best community, but it is a nice community overall. I'am pretty satisfied with all they have done for us. The responsive time of the staff when called for help needs to be quicker. Other than that issue, my mother is safe, and in good hands. They do provide nice meals, and plenty of activities for their residents. Overall it is a community I would recommend.

Seemed short staffed. Mostly tv watching. For the cost they expected a lot to be provided, like toilet paper, gloves. Some staff very good with alzheimers, some not mature enough or appropriate. Probably would be ok if not an alzheimer patient.

My loved one is adjusting very well since moving into the Brighton Gardens. They have a lot of activities going on to join. My biggest concern is the cleanliness. My loved one has been there for 4 weeks now and they have not thoroughly cleaned the room. They claimed they did last week but the bathroom was still dirty.

My son had taken a tour of this community for myself and was not very impressed with what he had seen. There was very few amenities and for the price he did not see the worth of a dollar.

We had a good tour of this community. Everyone was very kind, and helpful. Our questions were answered, and our tour guide was informative. It was a nice experience.

We met with [Removed]. We liked the smaller facility. However it didn't seem to offer as many amenities as some of the other places we have looked at. Cost was higher that other places we have visited. It was clean, well maintained, staff was friendly and seemed to interact well and often with the residents.

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. My tour went pretty well, and everyone was nice. The community looked well maintained from what I saw, everything looked nice. The staff was kind to my family,and myself. It was a good experience, but their prices were too expensive.
