Bickford Senior Living

We chose Bickford of Midland because of the staff members, they were very friendly and helpful. The proximity to our home also played a big part. The room sizes are good and spacious. The food here is pretty good, the meals are prepared on site. The best part about the community during my mothers stay was the staff members. I would recommend it.

Was very pleased with my visit here. It was very bright and cheery and the staff all had a very pleasant and positive disposition. The residents all looked engaged and happy.

We chose Bickford of Burlington because we knew some people that worked here so we knew the staff members were good at what they do so we felt more comfortable putting my parents here. I have only seen my moms room and it is nice size. The best part about the community so far has definitely been the staff. I would recommend.

I think they have done an excellent job with my loved one. I would recommend this community They have been able to manage a couple of crises about the health of my loved one. This was handled extremely well. Not to mention they have been able to keep my loved one safe during COVID. The community has been able to engage my loved one in activities with in the center.

I would tell them that it is a good community to go to. The staff are friendly, and helpful. The room is a good size and we had to provide the furniture for my loved one. The selection of the food is a very good variety.

Bickford of Aurora is was a lovely place. Unfortunately, my mother in law was only there for 3 days. The room sizes and layout of the community were good. They have an outdoor space for residents to enjoy.

We have been happy with Bickford. My mom has dementia. The staff is very nice. They update me about my mom's needs. My mom is on hospice. We have been please with our experience. They have done a great job with the Covid-19. I have peace of mind with her being at Bickford.

Bickford of West Des Moines is a little smaller size community, and has a home like feel. The food is good. The staff is good. The rooms are on the small side which is common in senior living. They have outdoor space for the residents.

The community offers levels of care which my dad needed. It is a small and wonderful community in which our dad feels comfortable and a part of. The caregivers are friendly and always kind. They really love my dad and he likes them a lot. He seems very happy there. He has gained weight and enjoys the food. The physical therapists have worked with him and he has improved and can now walk again. His apartment is small but nice and he has his own furniture there which is good for him. When I talk to him on the phone, he sounds really good and happy.. Bickford offered our family peace of mind because we don't have to worry about him like we used to. We know that he is being well cared for and that he is getting the care there he so deserves.

My dad is not a joiner, the staff does their best to encourage him to participate in activities. The price for the area is pretty good, other places in the area are a lot higher. I like the smaller setting. I feel he gets more personalized care. The staff is wonderful. Food is not that great, they are having a hard time keeping a chef but they are working on it. It's nice that they are on one level so during the quarantine I can go to stand by his window and visit with him.

I have never been so happy with a place in my life. Bickford was not initially my first choice. Bickford has been so helpful through the whole 9 month process of moving my mom from a rehab out of state. They have been like a second family to my mom. Just like everyone she is having a hard time with the quarantine but the staff is helpful, I have been able to surprise her at her window twice. The staff at Bickford has been amazing over all.

My mom lives here and truly enjoys the residents and staff. It is very much run like a family home. It is not a simple task to find a safe and joyful place for some one in your life that means so much. Bickford was that place for my mom. She has loved it there. I am so grateful to the staff each and everyone they are “true joys”!

I was desperately looking for a place for my mother and I spoke to [name removed] one of their representative at the Crystal Lake facility and she did a great job of explaining the Community the entire staff does a great job there my mother was in hospice care prior to moving into his community and now she’s walking again with a walker participating in church participating in sing-alongs and actually gaining back some Bodyweight she is very happy there and I am Glad I made this decision she’s only been at their residence for 63 days and made a remarkable recovery

My dad moved into the memory care section of Bickford of St. Charles at the end of December. Beginning with our very welcoming interview with [name removed] the director, my family and I have been very pleased with the care they have provided for my dad. He is clean, content, well fed, and active. There are plenty of interactions he has with the staff as well as activities to enhance his mental and physical capacity. We are new to the dementia world and how it affects people. The staff and [name removed] the director have been incredibly patient and kind to my family. [Name removed] spent an hour on the phone with my mom reassuring my mom about my dad's condition...giving her time outside of normal work hours (the phone call was on a Sunday). The staff, from top to bottom, have given my family and I peace of mind knowing that Dad is getting the best care around. Thank you seems too easy to say for what you have given to my dad and us. May God reward you!

Outstanding facility! Very friendly staff and very estically pleasing along with many favorable amenities! Number one on our list of faciliites that we toured.

[Name removed] was most helpful as this was our first visit to a Senior Living facility. After visiting an Assisted Living community we came to the conclusion that this is not appropriate for my parents at this time.

Very nice facility. Staff willing to listen to needs and try to work out appropriate solutions. Willing to visit with potential resident to help present advantages for assisted living.
