Bethesda Senior Living Communities

My mom is in the memory care unit. The staff is very helpful and attentive to those in memory care. We moved her to collinwood from another facility and I am glad we made the move. They are always helping the clients. The food has bigger portions so my mom isn't hungry all the time like she was in the other place. The rooms are bigger.

I would recommend Autumn View to others,it is a friendly and caring place.

Hired care staff--not contract. Low turnover rate. We had mom and dad at 4 other places. None are great, but they felt it was the best

My mom is currently a resident at Bethesda Gardens Fort Worth. I can't say that the experience has been great overall just yet. Some individuals have been great. But, it's over time that we will see.

My loved one is a resident at Bethesda Gardens Frisco. The main problem, which is not awful, is he does not like the food that well. Sometimes it also takes a long time to be served. Otherwise, would have rated it a 5. This is my take not his, but I think we would be close. We think this is a good place to be. Very few establishments are perfect. but he is relatively happy here with no suggestions other than to improve the food and add a few more food service employees. A lot of the residents have commented on the food.

It has been great. He requires transportation for his dialysis, and their driver was always on time. It's next to a preserve, so the air is better. He said when he asked for help, the star were on it very promptly. The maintenance had things done for him before he asked. We ordered a recliner for him that would require someone to put it together. We were going to do it over the weekend, but the maintenance guy just went ahead and did it for him.

I would say the staff tries their best and gave a good effort to be attentive to all patients. That's in both units. It's the executive director and the director of nursing that is difficult to get a hold of unless you email them. Then, we had to follow up with them when they told us they'd get back to us. Also, their introductory procedure is a little repetitive, and they still needed some of the info again. The WiFi on the 1st floor was sketchy for guests. When our parents needed extra attention, we received it in an urgent manner. With extra cost of course. Overall, after being at a much higher priced community; the gardens was definitely the better fit at a lower cost with better staff.

I find the community very friendly. The staff is friendly, considerate, and kind. There are plenty of activities and they are varied. The wait staff are courteous and helpful. I picked this community because I have friends here and they had a 3 bedroom house available.

The staff are very friendly and the halls are clean and has a very inviting vibe. I feel the staff trusts mom too much with her meds. They just leave them and don't confirm she takes them. She also takes showers alone and the way the shower is she floods her bathroom.

The main thing that upset me was trying to leave. I told them when my parents planned to leave and they said to have them inform them 30 days prior. I had my father show up on the 30 day prior at the desk and inform them and asked what he needed. The main manager didn't get with him till a week later with paperwork and would not let him sign out the date he wanted. So when we tried to leave he tried to charge us an extra month when he didn't get back to my father for over a week. It turned into a debacle, and I had to call someone over him to have it fixed.

The hands-on staff are great, Mom loves them. Communication is poor. The meals are tasty and plentiful, but they do not accommodate special diets and Mom is diabetic. Move in process so-so - had to ask several times before we could get help with tv hookup and picture hanging. The apartment itself is lovely but bathroom and kitchenette are in need of updating. The shower does not have a safety bench built in, we purchased a separate shower chair. Laundry is done every week with no problem. Housekeeping in the apartment could be better - they vacuum and empty the trash, wipe down the bathroom, but her bathroom lightbulb went out and I had to call the desk twice to get it changed. I would still recommend them - I have seen a lot worse - but there is room for improvement.

Overall not bad. But i am a little disappointed. With physical therapy we had to request 4 or 5 times to get it started. Only 2 weeks did they start and still no schedule of upcoming therapy as requested

My loved one is currently a resident at Bethesda Gardens Arlington. Overall, most everything has been good for her at this facility so far. The staff are very friendly and responsive, though they are a little over worked and understaffed. The staff is also compassionate and caring, I just wish there were more of them. The meals are very very basic, not well balanced, and really need nutritional guidance. They contain way way too many carbs. The food looks like high school cafeteria food from the 1970s.

What we like the most about the Bethesda Gardens is the people. The people that are working there take good care of my mom and get her involved in all the different activities they offer. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

They have all been pleasant to my mom. They are responsive to all of our questions and calls. We have only had one poor experience so far and it was remedied once escalated. The meals are generally tasty and nutritious, but there are no significant options to the main offering. I would recommend Bethesda Gardens Arlington to others.

We toured Bethesda Gardens Fort Worth during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. This facility was clean and everyone was friendly. However, the facility atmosphere seemed kind of clinical. Our tour was thorough and we were given materials with helpful information. They also answered all of our questions.

I feel there is not enough staff to monitor people as needed, example- my moms remote for her tv keeps getting lost and we have her name on it, staff cannot find, I know that can be challenging but would think staff goes in rooms often and could keep looking but do not believe they do. Also, several times when visited floors and tables in dining area dirty, I just think they need more staff.

The staff are always very friendly and committed. The building is very clean and well maintained. Price seems good compared to other's. The only concern would be that it appears they sometimes entrust mom to take her medications and the doctor does not provide details about her care. Such as no access to results of bloodwork, etc.

When my loved one was ill, the staff were very responsive to our phone calls and also offered supportive and medical care to them. The staff are very friendly and caring.

Overall it's very nice, clean and well run. I think that there have been a few incidents that staff don't communicate and my mom was confused by staff coming into her unit for services not needed. But overall very recommended
