Bethesda Senior Living Communities

The staff are very helpful and friendly. Activities are varied. Food is good...nice variety. Need more info re emergency call system. I would recommend the community to others.

The staff has been very friendly and responsive. Activities - they offer several different kinds. Food - is a bit bland. But can ask for S/P. They offer a nice variety of meals. Cleanliness - they keep the common areas very clean and tidy. Very attractive. Rm size - Independent Living is very nice. The bathroom could be a little better as far as the sink area. Assisted Living rooms are not layed out well. And significantly smaller.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, fun activities ( bingo, movies time, diamond dot club, pet visits, weekly outings) Apart size is nice. They come and clean the apartments and take trash out. Food is just ok, need more of a variety, they have had some challenges with the food service staff- cooks leaving. Overall we are very happy with the care mom has received.

I was there on a Friday afternoon around 3PM. I saw a total of four residents. I was told there was both independent and assisted living but of 80 units 79 were assisted and one empty.

For the most part is has been a positive experience, but they seem to be short staffed at times and we have had a couple of negative experiences. MOST of the people there have been very nice and helpful

Staff is caring. Care is adequate for what my dad currently needs. The food sometimes seems like odd choices for elderly people who potentially have dentures and harder time chewing and swallowing but food overall seems good. Housekeeping in room services seem more like a tidy service sometimes rather than an actual cleaning service. The room configuration that my dad is in which is a one bedroom no kitchen no kitchenette is adequate size for him.

They are very good at doing what you need. My apartment is just the right size for me. The staff is good now that [name removed] is our new director.

Bethesda Gardens has been. Perfect place for my mother -in-law. It's clean and comfortable and they take good care of her. They allow her to do what she can on her own and step in when needed. The staff at Bethesda Gardens has gone the extra mile to be sure our family member feels loved and cared for. While she was in a skilled nursing facility, the staff nurse, Barbara went to visit with her. She assured her that she was missed and they were anxious to have her home.

Dad is very happy at Autumn View Gardens. He is 93 and has a few medical issues, but they have multiple people onsite who provide 24-hour care. He also has medication management for an extra fee, but it's worth it. He gets all of his meals in the dining room, and they have a great menu. There is always something to eat. If you don't like the entrée, you can choose something like a cheeseburger, salad, or soup. He enjoys the company of the other residents, and people are friendly and say hello because they're all kind of in the same boat. The staff is very good to him. He also receives physical therapy occasionally. Since he's been there, he has had to go to the hospital, and they handled everything beautifully. They got him into the ambulance, took care of everything very efficiently, and when he was ready to return, they checked on him and made sure he was good to come back to the community. He really likes it there. They have activities, and while he's not big on participating, he'll play bingo and listen to music. He's not interested in outings like trips to Walmart, but they do offer different outings for residents. I would say it's a really good fit for him. It's not too fancy, but it is definitely well maintained. He has a studio apartment with his own bathroom, a nice shower, and a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, counter, cabinets, and dishes. I bring him little things like Boost drinks and bottled water, but there is also a water station right down the hall where he can fill up a water bottle. Overall, his needs are being met, and he's not lonely anymore.

When we toured this place, we were very impressed with everything about it. It was clean, friendly, spacious. Everything I think my parents would love.

Most things are good. always difficult to stay hydrated in Colorado. Doesn't get as much exercise as I'd like. Could be a little more protein in the meals. Overall really good though. I would recommend to others.

Greeted by friendly but distracted staff. Told me history of building which is interesting, a bit unique for area, but does seem to work well for residents/staff. Beautiful 'wild' grounds with walking paths and seating. As staff explained to me, they don't offer many options for exercise, group activities, etc. since ,most residents would rather be outside in nature with trees, wild grasses, etc. The whole living area is not as over-furnished and decorated as some other residences I have visited, but I felt very relaxed there. It is quiet and there are many sitting areas with 2-4 chairs just waiting to be discovered.

Whether I would recommend this community really depends on the personality and preferences of the individual. Someone who is outgoing, social, and enjoys participating in activities would likely do very well here. That said, there are also many quieter and less social residents who seem perfectly happy and comfortable in the community. Overall, it can be a good fit for different personality types depending on what someone is looking for in senior living

This facility was always bright and assist, with an extremely helpful staff. When my Aunt's time came to leave this world, they were very compassionate.

I would rate them a 4+. Very friendly staff, lots of activities, nice accommodations. I would recommend to others.

We ended up changing facilities when we found out [name removed] needed to be in memory care and I regret it. I wish we would have stayed at collinwood, I thought it was great overall. The staff were genuinely warm and caring. There were a lot of long term staff there, which seems fairly rare in this industry. The facility has a great vibe, it literally feels inviting to walk in. The facility is also beautiful. One more thing- the only downside is the food is more comfort food and not therapeutic. That was communicated, so it was not a surprise, but it was a factor that led us to switch facilities. We were still thinking we might be able to help [name removed] with life style changes at that point.

Staff is very attentive to residents needs, any staff member encountered is resident first. Always willing to help and the piece of mind that gives me is unmeasurable. Everyone wants a place close to home for convenience of traveling back and forth to see your loved one. What we need to be focused on is how our loved ones are being treated with respect and dignity as an individual and not just another resident. Autumn View Gardens on Schuetz rd has been a great decision for my brother and I. Would highly recommend. The call made to A Place For Mom was an immense help in getting things started with lists of places in the area. Please make sure you do your part in checking these places out first to find a place for your loved ones.

My dad has enjoyed his experience so far. The only thing is I wish they would have like a welcome community and introduce each other. Over all it is a great place and really happy with the staff

Medication adjustments seem to take a while to happen. Meaning the time frame between when mention is made till a doctor gets scheduled till they get it changed in their system seems to take a while. I think that the food is always good it's just that for my dad wearing dentures a lot of times the food is not something he is able to really chew and you would think that their potentially are others living there that have dentures or teeth issues. The staff is always very friendly and very caring with my dad and always engage with me and remember if I was headed out of town or something I was doing and ask about it so that is nice.

Mom is liking it only complaint is the food she says it doesn't have much taste probably they use less salt otherwise she's good. I would recommend the staff is great
