Best Care Senior Living LLC

We are happy. I feel like they have done a good job of encouraging him to be more active. He is gaining a little more independence and starting to do better. They are doing a better job than the rehabilitation place, for about 5000$ a month less. We are pretty happy.

I'm impressed with the level of care given here. It is a very pretty place and all of the help is so nice. The cost is average with others.

Overall, the care was good. There are probably 100+ patients, and for the size, they do a nice job. It was decent, not as clean, but they took good care of him. They had a nice outside area that he enjoyed. It's also locked down facility.

Such a welcoming, homey environment. They truly care about the guests living there. Activities are good and perfect for our situation as my mom moves into Medicaid. They are handling all the required paperwork which makes life so much easier for me 8 hours away.

My husband was there for about 8 weeks, [date removed] to [date removed]. I liked the workers that were around the area to redirect the patients if needed & they directed them in some simple games or activities. The outdoor area was easy to get to & viewable from inside where the staff was.

Best Care is a great place to have a loved one with memory loss be a part of, though as with the rest of the country the "staff-to-patient grid" in healthcare facilities is subpar, there not being enough staff to provide the services needed in caring for all its residents. My mom is one of the more "quiet" residents, and it seems like she and other residents come secondary to the more "acute" residents needing more attention and care. This lack of adequate staffing seems to be a nationwide issue, which doesn't seem to be improving to me, being I have worked in the healthcare system for over 46 years.

Choosing the right place to place a loved one can be daunting. We visited 4 of them I think before walking into Best Care Senior Living at Lecanto. As soon as we did the walk through we knew we were in her new home. Right off the bat we saw how the staff interacted with the residents and the residents all seemed to be at ease with them in return. They were all in the common area, everyone visiting one another, smiling, some talking and a few just napping, but they seemed happy to have the fellowship of the others. We also noticed how clean it was and smelled. Now I'm at ease knowing that when she gets out of bed after getting ready to meet the day she can't wait to get to the common area, as she puts it, to see her friends. We know she's in a safe environment and that means alot to us. The staff are very attentive to the residents needs. If we do have a concern we usually go see [name removed], she has been our go to since day 1 and she is as kind as she is professional, we just love her.

Best Care staff were sympathetic in her final few days. There was a lot of changes happening with the Best Care transition. I was surprised there wasn't an off boarding process. No final steps. But the staff were very caring.

I liked this place until I had dinner with my husband a few times. When I checked the posted menu, they didn't serve what was listed. It's been a year now and I don't remember details. I remember thinking the meal was adequate, similar to what I might have at home but it wasn't what was posted! I also didn't like that the door to his room was always locked & my husband, with memory issues had to get a worker to open it when he wanted in! They mentioned we could get a key, but that won't work with memory issues!!

What we like the most about Best Care Senior Living is that they genuinely care about my mom. However, there could be some improvement on communication between staff. Overall I'm happy my mom is there and we would definitely recommend this community to other families

I looked at several facilities for my mother and Superior by far was the nicest, the staff is friendly and engaged with the residents. I am so glad that it’s clean and smells clean, it was amazing how many are dirty and smells badly. It was a hard decision to make but I feel comfortable that she is getting the best care and she looks happy.

Superior Residences of Brandon is really good. They do a good job in caring for those who are there. The management and staff are all very kind and professional. I'm glad I chose them to care for and take care of my mom.

Managers provide quality care and attention to patients individual needs. Some CNAs not that committed, but management tries to constantly upgrade. There is a good selection of activities and a regular medical check up service, which is much more convenient than taking patients to doctor offices.

It seems to be under staffed at times & inattentive to residents needs or requests. Food could use some improvement. Facility infrastructure such as HVAC. Other than that you have a very nice facility. It’s nice to have holiday meals with your love ones & still allow them the freedom to go to a family member’s home

Superior has a great staff...no complaints. Improvements are something to look into 1)Better security 2)outside lighting 3)Inside facility (reception/Lobby area definitely needs more lighting. 3) Some kind of odor neutralizers for Residents rooms and hall ways.

Everything was great

Been very pleased with the facility for the past 4 years.

The compassionate care of the attendants was above average. They did what they were told to do, and they were very caring about it. And the residents could feel safe in the environment there. The food looked very unappetizing. What I felt was really lacking was activities. There were no activities at all, not even memory care related ones. But it was always clean there. The tables were clean, and they were diligent about getting the plates up after they ate. You never saw spills on the floor. If it did occur, they were right there cleaning it. My loved one was unable to care for herself, and she always smelled good and was clean.

It is cleaner than I thought it would be. It doesn't smell. They keep my loved one clean and dressed well. I would have to endorse

We chose The Cottages because it was affordable and the cottages are separate, so there was always someone in each one to look after residents. They have moved my mom to the memory care part of the facility and it has gotten better for her. You can tell the staff members really care about my mom. My favorite part about the community so far has been the easiness of it as well as the staff members, they have been great. I would recommend.
