The care at this community is outstanding. The staff are very caring and attentive to her needs . The variety of the meals are good and she likes the nice variety. I am glad that my mom is activities with the other residents. I would recommend this clean and nice community for other families for the care of there loved one with a great value for care

I heard a lot of bad reviews about Vick Street Manor. This is my mother's fourth assisted living facility. In the past, communities would make her go to bed at 8, get up at 7, she was expected to sit in front of a TV.If she lashed out they would medicate her and she would have reactions to the medication. Vick Street is completely different, it's a locked unit and she is allowed to walk up and down the halls all day. She is allowed to help the staff with simple tasks like putting out chairs for the dining room. My mother was always a helpful person and they give her the freedom to be herself.

My loved one is currently at The Cottages for respite care, and it is going absolutely wonderful. They are taking very good care of her. The place is clean and the meals are great, one day when she was late getting to the dining room, they had saved a seat for her knowing she was still going. I am very impressed with the way things are handled there.

My friend was only in this community for about 9 days. During this short period of time, they were very nice to her. For a person that has limited income, it's perfect. It's an older facility and is run by donation. The place is clean and the care is top notch. I have high praise for this place. Angie, betty, Donald and tailor are outstanding. They are very caring and compassionate about what they do whenever I needed them they would say "were going to work through". They called her doctor when they needed to. I was very pleased with the care received from this place, I would rate them above a 5 if I could.

Very positive experience. The tour showed a beautiful outside area, and the many areas for the activities, the calendar of activities was extensive. I could feel the commitment of the tour person and the staff that I met, in providing care to the residents

My husband John has moderate to severe dementia, with issues that most facilities find "concerning". A friend recommended Vick Street Manor because they have a Limited Mental Health License. After meeting with the Administrator and taking a tour of the facility, I felt it was a good place for John ... Everyone at Vick Street has the compassion and desire to make all residents feel like family. John gets hugs and kisses everyday! It's been almost a year, and I'm so thankful someone told me about Vick Street...

Sangetta is a wonderful lady. My uncle was with them for 9 years. They talk to them, and hug them, and make them feel really wanted. They loved the man and took good care of him, I was there at least a couple of times a week. There were a few bumps along the road, but they did an excellent job, they took very good care of him. There was a lady there that started when she was 17, and she looked at him like and uncle, and took it really hard when he passed. Some places look at you like you are a number, but not them. They were wonderful.

The meals are wonderful and the variety keeps mom happy. They offer super care and do make sure they keep their clients on a daily schedule for meals and medications as needed. They are quick to answer call buttons and every single employee greets family and clients with a smile and loving words. We are so pleased with the surroundings and the comfort afforded our mom in a very clean and well kept facility. We feel very comfortable knowing that mom is well taken care of and her needs are being met. The variety and amount of activities is great for most clients but mom is still getting used to living in a senior apartment community and is not participating as much as we had hoped. We love The Hawthorne Inn and their whole staff.

Overall I would have to say that all of the staff members at the Vick Street Manor care very much about the residents in their charge. They really do take pride in their facility and with the upkeep of it.

My dad has only been at SR for a month now. Each visit we have made has been met with interest, care, and helpfulness from each individual we have dealt with. This is from the housekeeping personnel to the Executive Director. Laverne at the front desk is always helpful with a smile even though she wears many hats and has lots of questions to answer on the phone calls also. We had been told by two sources that this was a good place for dad. It is. We did expect an adjustment period but seems that in two weeks our dad is participating in activities and is happy when we visit. I see lots of smiles there with personnel and tenants.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They treat you like family there and try to do what ever they can to make the stay better or more comfortable. I felt this was the best place for my mom on my first visit there with Derek. The cleanliness of the facility is excellent. The staff is extremely helpful and are willing to go out of their way to make sure mom is well taken care of. I would highly recommend this facility to any one who is looking for quality care for their loved one.

I think they do a very good job. It would be nice if they could afford to maybe have more staff. But with the staff they do have, it works very well. They are very attentive, very caring, my husband is doing well there. He seems happy, and that is very important.

We've had a very good experience overall with The Palms of Punta Gorda. The staff here is very personable and professional, and they do a great job looking out for the residents. The facility looks brand new, everything is very nice looking and clean! The entire community just has a happy feel to it, we're very pleased!

While my mother was there, we were satisfied with the care and services they provided.

This community is a very good inn. They take very good care of their residents. They are very patient with people. They’re very professional. The food is fantastic. Once in a while they’ll have soup and a sandwich which doesn’t always fill the guys up, but you can’t always please everyone.

So far I would rate them a five all categories. The big difference between this one and the other service we used was the staffing. Having more people on staff gives them a better ability to help residents and this is a very important part of why we use a service.

I would highly recommend them to anyone, they are very, very good. Whoever takes charge there is right around there all the time and apparently it wasn't very good but he took over and it is just wonderful. They were wonderful to my mom, I had no problems, her room was clean and everything. They were just wonderful to her.

I have my husband at Hawthorne Inn they are the greatest staff very professional and caring for every resident it is like a home away from home I go everyday to see him some days are better then others however that is because of the demencia. I would recommend Hawthorne Inn in Winter Haven to anyone that needs a home for someone in there family or loved one.

The people that work with my loved one are wonderful. The office staff are good but sometimes they can be more sells than the concern for my mother that the others that care for her show. The food is really good. I have eaten there a few times and liked it all of the times that I visited. They after lunch get everyone together and do wheel of fortune and family feud and different games. I know this is exactly where my loved one should be.

I would recommend this community to others. The staff is always keeping me updated on my loved one. The communication is a good part of the equation here.
