This was a good community. My loved one wanted a different location.

It is a place to look into to see if this be a good place for your loved one. This was the best location for us as my loved one is familiar with the area. The staff are pretty good to work with if the family has questions and concerns about our loved one. The community staff are good at trying to assist my loved one with transitioning into the community better.

They provide great one-on-one assistance. They do a good job helping my loved one with bathing and depends, and they'll bring her a tray of food at any time, which is awesome. It is expensive though, and the landscaping could use some work.

The Church Hill Village community is a spectacular place and the staff members there are so friendly and great. Their dining halls are nice but according to our loved one sometimes the meals are spectacular and other times not so much - it depends on the chef who is cooking that day.

I like to hear the church bells - great location. I like to hear/see the students walking home from school - I love seeing the kids! The people here really care! I like all of the light! For the most part the food is excellent!

I toured Benchmark Senior Living on Clapboardtree. The community tour and first impression were both good. However, they weren't not available/open for respite stay. We would've had to bring in furniture, etc., for a 3 week stay. We chose another community because Benchmark couldn't provide what we needed at that moment.

The community outreach is very, very strong. Some of the staff haven't been delivering what they should have; however, it is on the upswing. There has been some transition of key staff members, and they have a new Food Service Director in place now. I am hopeful with the new changes of the key staff members. The community has a lot of activities available for the residents to choose from.

The care is excellent, and the staff is wonderful and attentive. The community needs to modernize the activities for younger residential cliental. I believe that the music is from the 20s and 30s and they need to update it up to the 60s. The community is willing to work with the residents to try and find items that the residents will eat. The menu is a lot of pasta and meat options. It would be nice to offer more veggie choices, especially fresh veggies. Again, they are trying their hardest in finding the foods that the residents will enjoy, and I believe this deserves high marks. The nursing the staff are top rate as well.

This was a good community. The community wasn't as good of a location for family and friends to visit.

Good community with nice staff. The rooms and community felt smaller than we wanted for our loved one.

This community is on the water and it is very beautiful. It just was not the look that we wanted for our loved one. We wanted somewhere where the staff made a difference. We just did not get that feeling that we were looking for

The tour itself was very good. We just didn't have the same feeling about it as the place we chose. The facility itself seemed a little more institutional, like a nursing home. The people were all wonderful, and it was in a great location. It just didn’t feel as much like home.

This is perfect for my Dad. If you are looking for lots of choices and activities, you may not like this place. This is close to where we live. Everyone is very pleasant here. It is all on one level. That has made it easy to see him. They seemed short staffed a few times due to covid. My Dad is in much better shape here than he was at home. We are pretty satisfied. Emails and phone calls is how the staff communicate with the family. They have a facebook page you can see things going on that are posted daily. This is a locked memory unit. He really loves the food and the options for each meal. They have a path outside so the residents can go for walks or have their lunch outside weather permitting.

It would be worth it to go there.

They were very good about the move-in process and are really helpful. There seems to be a lot of staff around, which I like. The workers seem truly caring. I like that they have my loved one outside of her room for the most part, so she's not isolated and they can keep an eye on here. So we're really happy with that aspect of the care.
