Benchmark Senior Living

The administration is awesome. They are always available, helpful and there for the families. The CNA's are good but it is a hard job. The activities director is wonderful. She is very interactive and motivated to to get the residents active. The offer fresh fruit salad daily, great healthy menu choices and the food tastes good. The only con I can say is the restrooms are not quite large enough for residents with electric wheelchairs and they do not have a lot of handicap bars in them.

My mother has been at this facility for over 6 months. The staff at Greystone Farm is exceptional. My mother feels loved and well cared for. The transition to community living was smooth with the help of a caring staff. Cleanliness is very important to her and she comments always about how well the place is kept. Whenever I ask how things are she remarks that she has nothing to complain about. The grounds are lovely and the many family events are first class and provide fun and quality time. A variety of weekly trips and activities offer stimulation and foster friendships. I highly recommend this place.

We were not sure how my cousin was going to due during his 2 week respite care stay at The Birches. He enjoyed it so much that he asked if he would be able to come back again. The staff was wonderful every time I visited and I think they enjoyed having him stay there. The food was good and he also ran into some old friends during his stay. The community was well maintained.

Our experience with Putnam Farm at Danvers has been a very good one, overall! The staff here is friendly, welcoming, and they've really done a great job helping my loved one feel at home! Everyone on the staff knew her by name within a few days, and knew the sorts of extra assistance she would need. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and I really like the way their care program is set up. It's just a very nice place, overall!

It's a very big adjustment but both my parents are impressed with the staff, happy with the many amenities the community offers, and getting more comfortable over time with this new lifestyle. My siblings and I visited many senior communities in the surrounding area and most of them were impressive but, ultimately, this was an easy call for us. There is a different vibe at Ridgefield Crossings and a greater sense of vitality. Hard to say exactly why, but it probably comes down to a combination of both the residents and the staff.

The staff from top to bottom couldn't be any nicer and any more friendly. The place is very well kept and bright and will maintained. They tell a good story about all the activities and all the science behind their treatment of various forms of dementia. Perhaps we waited too long to get Mom in there but I haven't really seen anything that unique in terms of activities. I have visited on various times of day and days of the week and mostly I see residents sitting around in the living areas with the TV on. Mom complains of being bored and when I see her she is usually alone in her room. I would l like to see more engagement of the staff with the residents but maybe I just catch it at off times. Don't know.

Mom has only been at Benchmark for 1 month; however she is now thriving again. Benchmark was so welcoming and caretaking of not just Mom but our entire family. The genuine level of care and attention that each member of the staff shows is life affirming. It is difficult to judge value when our exposure to the assisted living community is so narrow; however, I can say that the costs were on the lower side of normal for the area. The costs when stacked against the life Mom has now versus living on her own in an apartment with her family visiting nights/weekends and services maxed through the elder services is priceless. I only wish we had done this a year ago.

Chelmsford Crossing is a very caring, pleasant home. We were embraced the first day and I feel my family member is well cared for and looked after. This was a good decision and our family feels very lucky that we found Chelmsford Crossing.

Very helpful and friendly tour. I met with many people and they all seemed to very knowledgable. I made the decision to move Mom from another facility to The Arbors, as this place seems to be better

the best part of the Village is that my mother connected with some other residents and she is very busy. She has made some folks with whom she likes to doing activities. The people who work there are very nice and supportive. A difficulty that I have is that there are so many people who work with her that I have not yet sorted out who they all are or who the important contact people are.

Staff is professional and friendly. They make you feel welcomed and right at home. They went through all the steps with us to make sure the transition went well. We are very lucky and love it here. Other residents are also wonderful.

My mom has been at Sanctuary Care in Rye, NH since late spring of 2015. I have to say, reading these grossly negative reviews caused me to wonder if there was another facility with the same name as I personally have not experienced any of the things mentioned in these reviews. Prior to Sanctuary Care my mom had a very lengthy hospital stay followed by many weeks in a rehab facility. I know only all too well what incompetent, poorly run facilities are all about. My mom and I lived that nightmare and the experience literally almost took my mom’s life. So I feel a responsibility to share our experience with Sanctuary Care so anyone looking for a place for their loved one will have information from a more positive perspective to help make the best decision they can for their loved one. Whenever I have had questions or concerns (and they have been few and far between) I have requested a face to face meeting with the Director and have always received a timely response with suggestions about appointment times and have always been able to meet within a day or 2 of my request. I am well aware of staffing challenges too, but after speaking with the Director I am also aware of how diligently they are working to hire and retain additional good people. I have been associated with the health care industry for over 20 years in the Seacoast area and Sanctuary Care is not an anomaly with regard to staffing. It’s difficult at best. My mom is well taken care of, happy and treated with respect. I visit at all different times of the day and night and have never felt that my mom is neglected or not safe. I inquired…..Sanctuary Care meets and in many cases, exceeds state and federal safety and health standards. I am my mom’s only advocate, her only voice and if I felt that she was in a place as described in these reviews….I would not hesitate for one minute to find another more suitable facility. I looked at many places over the course of several months and they all had their pros and cons. But Sanctuary Care is where my mom belongs. I knew it the moment I arrived to check it out. I do agree there were some hiccups during the transition this past summer and I heard the rumors, but I chose to sit down and talk with the Director and hear both sides of the stories and draw my own conclusions. I can’t speak for any other families, but I can tell you how heartwarming it is to see my mom part of a caring community where everyone knows her name (and she’s the quiet type). Finding Sanctuary Care allowed me to fulfill a promise I made to my mom some time ago when we realized with great sadness, that dementia/Alzheimer’s were going to be a part of her aging journey…. that she would be well cared for, safe and treated with the dignity that she so deserves.

The rooms in this facility are very nice and pretty spacious. They do have quite a few amenities here which is great. The staff is just a delight to work with and they are always helpful. The place is always spotless.

The staff here is so friendly and caring. They are really great about communicating with the Family. The facility is bright, spacious and clean and it is inviting when you walk in. The level of care here for those who need care is excellent.

It is very pretty and homey here. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff is always courteous and caring. They greet you by name when you come in. They have great communication with the family.

My mother did not participate in any activities. The CNA staff is horrendous.

She is doing fine at Sunrise of Stamford. Mom seems to like it there. The intake process was good. Everyone was nice and well organized. She likes the food. The assistance she is getting is good. She is interacting and socializing well. It is as good as could be expected. So far so good.

The Benchmark Senior Living at Waltham Crossings has a very friendly and outgoing atmosphere. And they are very caring they approach you when you walk in and they talk to you about your loved one. Overall a genuinely fantastic place. Angelo the business manager has been doing a wonderful job.

I just visited the facility, so I'm not real familiar with it. When I met with the staff they were very friendly and very knowledgeable. I had no complaints, it was very well organized and well set-up for people to remember. I liked it a lot, it was just the price that was awfully expensive.

The Arbors of Bedford is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They are very helpful. The location is outstanding. The level of care is very clear. The communication with the staff has been very, very good. I would recommend the Arbors of Bedford to anyone. It found this to be the best choice in our area. I can't rate the activities yet because we haven't been there long enough. (Not Applicable)
