Benchmark Senior Living

Exceeds expectations in all areas. The Branches has been a great experience so far in all areas. The transfer from [community name removed] to Branches was made easy by [name removed] the sales person and the Directors. Good communication, care, activities, and nursing and support staff has been wonderful.

What I saw of the meals and dining - seemed ok. Gramps did not participate in any of the activities. It is expensive with rental furniture. We felt [fee removed] for 30 days was rather high. However, I would not have a problem living here if I had too. Gramps said didn't like. Didn't say why. we figure because he can't hear and communicate properly. We thank you for the month he spent there

The activities is unknown she does not participate. She is from Meriden and met people she knew, food is very good. Staff is friendly professional and yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

We chose the Arbors because most of the staff have been there for years and they have a great ratio of help to residents. Clean, Friendly and the open floor plan. And bright and cheerful. Other families looking should, know the staff to resident ratio. What's the turnover for the staff?

I would give it all 5s. Could there be improvements? No one place is 100% but they would need only tiny tweaks. The most important thing is my mother truly loves it there and she gets far better care there than I could possibly provide her at my house or hers. They treat her as an individual person, not a room number. My mother is in memory care. The staff are very friendly. There is a very good ratio of staff to residents. They know my mom and drop by often to check on her if she is in her studio apartment, entice her to join the various daily activities and make sure she comes to meals. They understand dementia and are very patient with the residents, keeping them engaged with everyone. Nurses are great and promptly keep us informed of any medical incident. Scenic drives are an option twice a week. When the weather is warm they have a lovely outside patio/garden area that is used on all good weather days.

I toured many places last year and Benchmark was by far my favorite. It is the perfect size. The staff seems to know everyone’s name. There are lots of activities both on and off the property. My mother had a whirlwind change of life last year - lost her husband of 70 years, sold her house in Florida and moved to be close to my family in Massachusetts. I told the Benchmark staff that my mother was not social and would most likely be in her room most of the day. Was I wrong! My mother is now extremely social and is out and about most days with her friends that she has met. It has almost been a year since my mother moved to Benchmark and she is still happy. I couldn’t be more please.

My Mom spent three years here and loved the friends she made and the caring staff. The lectures and activities and meals with her friends made life at Benchmark enriching. Mom had been living on her own for a long time and we were not sure how much she would like moving to an assisted living community but she simply thrived here.

The administration staff that were in the building were nice. For the time my sister was there she told me she enjoyed the music that's the only thing she participated in, she did tell me she enjoyed the music. I paid over $[removed] for 6 days ... you're asking me to tell me is that a good value for your money ... I don't think so ....

The facility is bright and cheerful. It is always clean and welcoming. The staff is excellent. Everyone, in every position is very friendly and welcoming. They are very responsive to all the residents needs. The only consistent challenge has been the food. Many of the residents are not happy with the food. They do try to address the issues. They are having a difficult time finding people to work in the kitchen and dining room. That continues to be a work in progress.

Everything is 5 and over. I would move in myself tomorrow if I could. The only issue was in the transition of getting my mom situated. Between the time I signed her up and time she got there she had a rapid decline. Some of the aides weren't aware of her increased needs but it's understandable that it takes time to catch up especially when there is a drastic change in such a short time. I cannot give Benchmark enough praises on any level - people, admin., right down to helping with the move.

The staff is very caring, and friendly makes you feel right at home like you are part of their family! The facility is on the smaller size which is perfect, much more individual attention . The food is amazing, a different menu each night to choose from ! Families can join their loved one for a meal in a separate dining room. The facility is extremely well maintained.

5 On everything. Outstanding facility and company. We toured in [community name removed] too and they seemed just as close as Billerica in all these categories too. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families. The activities are really great and the director of activities is such a caring wonderful person. My mother in law is always raving about how they are kept busy. It is also pet friendly which was a huge thing for us. Having her dog with her was incredibly important.

My mom has been at Benchmark for 3 weeks. We moved her from another community to Benchmark and have been very happy. We are glad that we decided to move her where she is better cared for. The staff truly cares.

For the Village at Brookfield Common , I would give all 5s. And if it went up to 10 I would give that for all. My mother is in the memory care floor, which is great, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs memory care.

There is a [amount removed] deposit which is an intake fee which they did not say was non-refundable. My loved one is in the memory care community. They are super helpful and reevaluate. Really nice, clean rooms, do laundry and clean daily. Lots of activities. It is cheaper in the memory care vs. regular community. They charge different levels for medications. Different levels for care on top of the rent/meals fee. Medicare does not pay anything. All costs are on you.

Be careful reviewing the financials. Sometime "treatment care packages" were added after mom was there. It was sticker shock. They are very responsive to concerns and good communication

Cleanliness & proximity to our home. Friendliness of staff. Its clean, I understand the residents don't like the food at all. Staff friendly.

They're very flexible and being a small community it has a family feel. We are very happy with our choice!

Communication with the family is timely and accurate The staff are skilled in redirecting clients who are anxious or agitated Supervisors and management are engaging and aware of client individual needs I am very satisfied

Patient only there 6 days then went to hospital and passed away. So didn't do activities or eat that much but food was a variety and looked appealing. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families! They all were so kind, caring, attentive and supportive to resident as well as family members
