Benchmark Senior Living

Per my ratings above, it's a great place. They make it very easy to apply and are very thorough with the admissions process. The staff are friendly. It's a clean facility. They really could add a few more activities. But overall, it's a very nice place.

With all the activities and care my mom should be well cared for. The food menu's look great , and the activities are endless . Also all the people I have met (care givers) seem truly engaged and committed to helping all the residents

My mother [name removed]was a resident at Split Rock for Approx. 1 year. The facility and staff were second to none. The care and attitude of all that are employed there was excellent. My mother was as comfortable as possible for her entire time there. My thanks to all there that had a part in my mothers care. Thank You

My husband’s illness required more care than I was able to provide for him at home. I wanted an environment where he felt safe, would be given top care, and wouldn’t be “just another resident.” I was fortunate finding Benchmark early in my searching. My initial phone calls were answered quickly, after working hours, during the evening. Finding another “home” was overwhelming, yet all the time and patience in the world was afforded me with my many questions. Once my husband was moved into Benchmark, everyone on staff sat down with me and explained their function. The nursing staff is second to no one. There are several programs for the residents to enjoy. The weekly music performances are fun for the residents and family members. They take good care of my husband - and me. They are kind to family members and I feel included in my husband’s overall care as well. It is well worth the time to tour Benchmark and see the many things they have to offer. I know we made the right decision!

The community here is warm and welcoming (both staff and residents). My widowed mom has made many friends and is engaged throughout the day in meaningful activities. Everything is very clean and comfortable and is designed with a homey atmosphere. The food isn't always the best but they always have some basic options and there's always something you can count on (there are basic items always available, as is typical for these senior livings). The staff works very hard. It was a very good choice for us and hopefully she has many years ahead here. We don't use care services so I can't comment on that but the staff seems to work hard.

As a resident, what sticks out most about The Village at Buckland Court is how friendly all of the staff are.

They are doing so well with my aunt and taking really good care of her. She says how much she loves it and she has made a really good friend. The staff is absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. I have meetings with the staff and they say that everything I worry about is completely normal. We have family meetings with them and they are great with communication. I cannot say enough about the staff, the cleanliness and the friendliness of everyone here. The security is very good, you have to sign in and sign out. They have a beautiful garden area, music almost everyday, different activities etc. There is something to keep residents busy at all times. I am so happy that she is here, we could not ask for more. I would absolutely recommend Benchmark Senior Living Ridgefield Crossings without hesitation.

WE had a great tour experience at Orchard Estate of Woodbury. The facility is very nice, it is relatively new (only a few years old). All of the staff were extremely friendly as well. The reason we shyed away from this facility was because the location was further but also they are strictly private pay and do not take Medicaid. So when mom ran out of money, we would have had to move her again.

Mom is very happy & content. I'm very happy too. Everyone is so nice!!!!

We picked this community, because it was very convenient for my loved one. It's a very nice facility. I would recommend to other familes. Overall, the experince has been so far so good. it's a very welcoming community.

I toured this community and it was very nice. The staff was friendly. It was very clean.

This facility is a great place. Location is great. They're very responsive to questions and concerns. We've had a very positive experience. Housekeeping is daily and could be been a little better as far as her room. At times, there were spills on the floor, etc. But it could have been that she didn't let them in, too. I'm not sure. The facility itself is always clean, though. I don't have experience with the meals or activities. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I'm very happy with a Benchmark Senior Living at Ridgefield Crossings, we are very pleased. My aunt is satisfied with everything, it's a God-send for me. It is expensive, but I believe we are getting our moneys worth. So far, we have had no issues. They have responded to everything and any of my concerns. I would say, if you have the money, which is really the most important thing to be able to go there, then my suggestion would be to go there. I am also grateful to A Place for Mom because I would have never found this place on my own. I am so grateful that you guys recommend this place. You provide an invaluable service for people who don't know what to do where to turn. The best thing I ever did was fill out that form online and I got the help I needed. I'm very grateful! We had other places lined up, but after I visited Benchmark Senior Living, I cancelled those tours. I immediately knew. I came back a second time and brought my aunt with me; she agreed with me. It was the friendliness of the people and the warmth. I knew immediately that I was in the right place. During our tour, residents came up to say hi and asked if we were moving in and letting us know that they loved it. I didn't experience that at the other community I toured. The residents here made the difference for us.

The staff are warm and helpful in there to answer any question you might have. And there are lots of fun activities and social engagement.

I love everything about Adelaide. We found them when we were at a very rough stage with my father in his disease progression and many other assisted living facilities would not accept him as a resident. Adriana was extremely patient and understanding and helpful with us in our time of crisis and was able to get our dad approved. Adelaide offers everything that I imagined assisted living for people with dementia would be. The only reason I gave a 4 for value for the money is that I don't believe it should be quite that expensive to get that level of care for your loved ones but unfortunately in this day and age it is. If you can afford it, Adelaide is definitely the best place for a parent that needs daily living assistance.

It's really a lovely place. They have a huge range of care services. The activities are good, and they try hard to appeal to a broad range of people. They have Bingo and lectures. The value for the money is good. We picked this community, because the broad range of activities, and when I walked in, I felt I could see my loved one there. Overall, we are very happy.

Our loved one just moved in last week and what we really like so far is the care and responsiveness of the staff team

For the duration of our loved ones stay and even during her final days the staff members were absolutely phenomenal. They had comfort care during her final days and we came to stay with her 24/7 and the staff came in every hour on the hour to make sure we had food to eat and drinks and anything else we needed. We would absolutely recommend Benchmark Senior Living to other families.

Everyone is very friendly and supportive. I love the nursing staff very attentive and are always available to answer questions. The dining experience from when I am visiting looks amazing!! My parents are always offered soup and desserts with meals which they love. Very pleased with the dining staff as well.

Whisper Woods of Smithtown is a very nice facility and they gave us a great tour. I was impressed with everything that I saw except for the price, it was extremely expensive and that is the reason we did not choose this facility.
